The new season is almost here, which means pre-season rankings are finally available. I have updated my expected points by seed and probability of AA by seed to reflect results from the 16 and 33 seed eras (2014 - 2024). At least for now I did this using both Intermat and Wrestlestat rankings. I may, or may not, keep doing that. Flo is only ranking to 24 spots at the moment, so they are out. I may also do a composite ranking. Who knows? Stay tuned. Oh, and freshmen are not yet included in any of these rankings. Without further ado: Wow, PSU in the lead early in the season. No one saw that coming.1 point

Unconfirmed Rumor…. A fema director had been beaten by local North Carolina residents for denying aid to locals ….. and being arrogant. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFy2Cwmc/1 point

Couldn't agree more that Indianapolis would be a great destination. Centralized city, great venues, many food/drink options, proximally close to other hotbeds (IA, PA, OH, WI), and a great airport. NBA All Star Weekend was hosted there last year and proved the city can show up to host great events of and above the scale of D1 championships. The USA Swimming OLY trials were there this summer as well. Denver would be great too, selfishly.1 point

It would be pretty wild if D1 wrestling grew out West because of AJ Ferrari, but I'd love to see it happen.1 point

I think you should do an Intermat Forums All Star Rankers Supremo Delight composite. Take the 4 or 5 'best' gents (obviously not me) and have them rank T33. I would be curious how that would differ from WrestleStat and/or Flo and/or Intermat.1 point

I have the sneaking suspicion he landed at CSUB because it was the only administration too apathetic to google him.1 point

Here is a good one from the way back machine. D-GA Hank Johnson thought Guam could tip over and capsize from the marines that were stationed on the island. People elect a lot of idiots.1 point

I really hate the way eligibility is going now. He wrestled at a TFR and wrestled 10 matches as a Soph. He should have two more years of competition remaining. They really screwed up the COVID thing. If they were giving anyone an extra year it should have been graduating seniors because they missed their last chance. I hate that Starocci can wrestled this year. He got his 4 NCAA championships. He doesn't need to complete in a fifth. Oh well no reason to carp about this. I just think about all those athletes in the past that only got three years of competition due to the rules and now Miami FL has a guy that is in his 9th season of college football and 26 years old.1 point

It depends on the angle of the lower level seating. US Bank's layout seems like it will work out just fine, based off images I've seen. It's a pretty intimate football stadium. Reminds me of a basketball arena on steroids.1 point

You caught that he missed the entire practice right? that made it worth it for me.1 point

10/3/2024 Reporter to (Biden/vegetable in chief): What do the states in the storm zone need after what you saw today? Biden: Huh? what? Reporter: The states, in the storm zone. What do they need after what you saw today? Biden: Oh... in the storm zone. huh.... I was wondering what storm they’re talking about. They aaa. they’re getting everything they need. They're very happy,... across the board. Case closed I guess. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFUw815D/1 point

Funny the actual article is not about crowd size in Wisconsin but about the rally in Michigan....hmmm??? How smart are you for posting something like this without having read the article, nor put any sort of critical thinking to what actually may be happening...but you be you1 point

https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/5046031-is-russias-golden-boy-really-19 ... so his own social media is at least one source. We know that RUS has done this. Karelin himself has called upon his countrymen to stop the practice of age cheating. Yianni wrestled a 20ish year old in cadet finals. We know this because Vito was training in Europe with the wrestlers club. Frank Popolizio recounts how one year at his Journeyman international tourney, every Russian had exactly the same birthday. Year and day! This stuff has certainly happened in the past. If true Sad is like 2 years older than listed. Not a big deal, other than the end is coming two years sooner than anticipated.1 point

no doubt the initial funds are that way.. they need to see who needs what and what needs to be done.. but will there be more when the time comes?1 point

This is an overlooked point. We have all been viewing AJ as a criminal with the shooting of guns into the dark, reckless driving, sexual assault allegation (s?), etc. But he keeps facing zero legal repercussion, so what if he is really just a brilliant practitioner of the law and has been simply testing the bounds of the legal system as a means to demonstrate his legal chops. In this instance, he has demonstrated the value of the 4th amendment.1 point

I got my favorite I could root for. But honestly I would like to see VTech to get a good look. He say he wants to be the changing face of the program well that is one on this list that on the brink of rising another level if a few things fall their way.1 point

Cincy?!? A city that isn’t central, has an even smaller airport than KC, and isn’t a great tourist destination…lol what a terrible suggestion. What venue would you suggest in Cincinnati? Indianapolis is in the same area and a much better host. Your ideas are all great if your goal is to kill the sport. The event sells out no matter what. Why would the cities mentioned having the “hottest”(highest resale prices) tickets be good for anyone other than resellers? If we want the sport to stick around long term, we need exposure in new places. Holding it in the NE every year would make it even more niche and shorten its lifespan.1 point

No problem! It will stay updated. I'll keep adding people, and will keep everyone updated with future tournament records. John Smith was a stud. A lot of the older guys seem to have a crazy amount of matches for whatever reason. Bruce Baumgartner had 400.1 point

Thank you. Seeming to turn out we got pretty lucky right where I’m at. Kept falling in those little gaps you see in the circulation. Whole lot of flooding and tornadoes pretty close to me but we made out good in my neighborhood. Frankly, I’ll take it, haven’t been on the good side of luck when it comes to natural forces in a bit!1 point
