So Coleman Scott, who has HC experience becomes digs into the in-room coaching, and 4x World Champ David Taylor , with no head coaching experience, is left with the CEO stuff? This seems very opposite.4 points

I wish these people talking about Gable would go away. I come here for the financial advice.4 points

Who Gable or Sanderson? They both attempted to make multiple Olympic teams. Gable tried to make the team in 1968 but lost to Bobby Douglas. Douglas was the rep in 1969 and 1970. I'm unsure of Gable attempted to make those teams and was beaten out or skipped them to focus on NCAA competition. He made the team in 1971 and won worlds. He then made the Olympics in 1972 and won those. After 3+ years off he attempted to make a comeback to make the team in 1976. After losing to Lee Kemp in an early open tournament he packed it in. Cael Sanderson Wrestled at the 2000 Olympic trials where he finished 6th. He made the world teams in 2001 and 2002. In 2001 he declined to wrestle after the world championships were delayed due to 9/11/2001. In 2002 the US did not send a team due to security concerns in Iran. In 2003 he made the team again and finished 2nd. In 2004 he won the Olympics and retired. In 2011 he made a comeback winning the world team spot and placing 5th at the world championships before retiring again. I don't think it is accurate to say either competed for "one Olympic cycle."4 points

As moronic as we as a fanbase can be with some of the things we say on social, nothing holds a candle to wwe stans. It’s just the same thing that’s been repeated over and over. I’ve seen legit people try to explain the laws etc in Mn to them and it ends up how you might expect. They’re the same type of people who don’t believe anything after the first google search result. The smart fans in that demographic don’t engage.2 points

Most of the idiot protesters many of which are Ivy League's finest can't find Israel on a map. They are worried more about wars thousands of miles away that won't affect them nearly as much as the mass invasion on our Southern border, that will impact everybody's pocketbook.2 points

I had my neighbor shoot our 14 year old dog who was in misery. I didn't want to do it, but it was fast and efficient and ended her suffering. The vet wanted 150 dollars and it was a 50 mile round trip. A 22 bullet did the trick. And that was 15 years ago. I imagine it is exponentially more now. When I was on the farm more than 30 years ago we would use Rompum which is a deer tranquilizer ( Game Preserve) to put the Old farm dogs away. You have to do what you have to do.2 points

Wonder why every person on here besides TPTD believes UB supports hamas...or I should say he does so by proxy by bashing Israel in almost every post and then tries to hide behind idiotic rhetoric like he is doing something for the greater good and by participating in the stupid "protests". Typical narcissistic behavior...never mind what caused a certain reaction to a certain action/behavior but attack the response/reaction to the action/behavior that caused it.2 points

In any situation... if David Taylor decides he wants to throw his hat in the ring, you do it. If Scott can't take that and lets his feelings get hurt, then he isn't the right guy for the job - regardless of whatever assurances were made. Recruiting alone has the potential to dent PSU's grip on the top. No other hire that could be made at the D1 level could do that.2 points

Indian tribes are notoriously communist, leftist. She was banned for speaking the truth about the significance of drug cartels on tribal lands.2 points

I agree, even though she did the right thing. A lot of people in the US are unaware of rural concerns and would be gobsmacked by the things that must be done in a rural setting. She's gone from the list. Plus she wears too much makeup. She should be gone just for that. What does she really look like the people wonder!!! mspart2 points

I am pretty certain that CS would've had discussion with JS and the AD about the different options of how this could play out. And I'm pretty certain the pastry boy has no clue. Did John know ADB would beat DT and thus decided to retire? Doubt it but ...2 points

The point would be to highlight that they are protesting to protect innocents and not just Palestinian innocents. They would have way more support if that was the cause. But it is not. It is clearly anti Israel. By showing Hamas that they are hated, even in pro Palestinian protests, it will help erode their support. By telling Hamas to surrender, it would show that the protestors are actually peace loving. Their silence here indicates support for Hamas. They want the elimination of Israel, not saving lives. It is clear as day. And you know it. Wiggle out of directly agreeing that Palestinians shouting for Hamas to surrender would SAVE lives. Wiggle out of agreeing, and demanding in your protests, that Hamas should surrender and face the punishment of their crimes. It shows your true stance.2 points

It’s 2024. Adding a white male as his VP will not be accepted. It will be a minority, a woman or the sweet spot, a minority woman. Picking the best and/or the most qualified isn’t how our society works.2 points

He only competed one olympic cycle. Seems to me like he has his own measures of success.2 points

Or maybe he just means that is a hollow and silly way to build a career and a legacy and that fixating on Dan Gable is probably NOT what Cael Sanderson is doing. Gable Wrestled in the 60s. He's been done for 25 years. I really struggle to believe that people think Cael is obsessed with the idea of just one-upping Gable. That seems more like something Gable would do. Cael just seems like he loves what he does and he wants to win, but...as he's repeatedly said, "it's a GAME." That should highlight the difference in the two right there. Never got the "it's just a game...a really funny game...one of my favorite games, probably my favorite game, but it's a game and at the end of the day, you have to have fun or what's the point." Or is everyone being sarcastic and I'm missing it?2 points

I assume you're kidding... This seems antithetical to everything I've ever heard or known about Cael Sanderson. His whole career is about a competitive nature and a desire to win and be great. I don't think he's got a picture of Gable hanging up and saying, "just need to do one more than him." Cael leaves right now and he's the most success Wrestlers in College Wrestling History and I think the most highly regarded coach...and it's probably not close. I'd be disappointed if I learned he was counting NCs trying to pass Gable.2 points

According to Bloomberg, Trump has auditioned VP picks JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Doug Burgum and Tim Scott. Trump has stated that he plans to make his VP pick in July. Personally I think the pick is going to be JD Vance the Young Senator from Ohio who is the best selling author of Hillbilly elegy, his memoir and autobiography.1 point

We should hire this guy to come to America and give lectures at all of our Universities. This would be great. He could also stop by Washington DC and give a lecture to our Senators and Congressman.1 point
