i didn't think you could get any dumber but you went ahead and used, as a source of your stupidity, the utterly biased inanity of the NYC administration. the same administration whose leader (mayor) has begged and pleaded with washington to assist financially.3 points

Would make a ton of sense to bring in one. With Ludington coming in I feel like Bockman is a good stop gap. I’ve convinced myself that Valencia growing into 184 and establishing himself as a top 20 guy in the country is totally within the realm of possibility.2 points

I have no doubt there are sleazy practices, but hiring a clearly qualified coach who has a top rated son is opportuniistic, not sleazy. If Nate Carr was not qualified I would feel differently. The Hall claim was just flat out stupid. And I do not know what to make of recruiting with regard to Kerkvliet given the number of times he flipped and flopped. People are happy to talk about theories, rumors, and their personal grudges like they are fact. You, for example, were willing to accept @headshuck's clearly made up claims at face value.2 points

Until Bono is coaching middle schoolers there are not enough threads on this topic.2 points

That would be nice for the Sooners, for sure. Here's my picks for next year and they are pretty lame picks: 125 Figs 133 Fix somehow finds a way to wheedle another year's eligibility and actually wins. Either that or Crookham. 141 Mendez 149 Henson 157 Haines 165 Messenbrink 174 Starocci 184 Keck 197 Buchanon, but I'm worried about his development in OU's room. HWT Kerk2 points

But they’ve tried to get transfers the last couple years, and by some accounts tried pretty hard, they just haven’t gotten any. That’s why his act that they’re above the portal is so disingenuous.1 point

LOL...exactly. If you put Cael up there, I'd pick Cael. Seemed obvious it was a "if you could get any of these coaches, which would you pick," type scenario. Everyone knows Cunningham's role at PSU...and I wouldn't be shocked if Cael only has a couple more years left and Casey takes it over...and doesn't miss a step.1 point
-
The post is who SHOULD, not who will. I don't expect Cunningham to leave either.1 point
-
Yeah...but you're NOT going to stop me right there...unless you have REALLY poor reading comprehension. 1-If you don't like the pick, take it up with the OP who came up with the list of coaches. Several aren't going to happen. IT'S A HYPOTHETICAL. 2-I not only prefaced it by saying Cael has sacrificed money for Cunningham and he runs half the program, but I also ended by saying a REALISTIC option would be Brandvold. So tell me where TF I said I "think he's leaving that for Wisconsin?" It'd be like saying "who should the Badgers try and recruit." Should you NOT name the most obvious and the #1 recruit? As for the "his kid is coming to PSU," so what? You been paying attention to the landscape of College sports? He could easily follow his Dad and go to Wisconsin. As it stands, his kid may very well not start at PSU(not because of a LACK of talent on his behalf, but the recruits/talent they already have in there). Finally, if I was actually going to make this argument, I'd probably go back to when a B1G team poached a young HC from the B12. A coach who'd won 4 Titles and was recognized as the greatest College Wrestler ever...who had just gotten the HCing job after pushing out a HOF coach(not to mention his own coach) and left his alma mater for another school(I hope you get where I'm going with this). Wasn't real likely that Cael was going to leave Iowa State for PSU. And yet...look at that! Even with Cael's little brother Wrestling at ISU, he still ended up leaving. That's if I was going to make an argument rather than picking the most obvious name from the list of candidates presented in a poll. But SOO glad to you "stopped me there."1 point

Thanks and noted! I think its a great fit for him and whoever called out that he would prioritize academically strong institutions for his next landing spot was correct.1 point

I have questioned how long Tyler Wells will be able to make 133 for. I wouldn’t mind a redshirt, kind of how Mike Thorn and Mitch McKee wrestled right away and took some lumps initially and were very good there final 3 years, McKee never redshirted though.1 point

Ryan's implication, that he isn't using the portal cause he's so ethical, is a joke. He just happened to have a young talented team and it makes no sense to shop for seniors over them.1 point
-
Ryan talks all high and mighty but the amount of shenanigans that happened with bringing in McKenna is worse then all this Michigan NIL money, not to mention Tashon Campbell announced he was transferring to Ohio state literally the day after ncaas a few years back1 point
-
Just another post-NCAA downward spiral by Tom Ryan. Nothung extraordinarily out of character. Basically someone said something about Michigan and transfers, no mention of NIL. Pyle responded and said every top 10 program, non-Ivy, has had a transfer. Someone posted some schools, tOSU was on their list. Pyle was like 'nah bro' and pointed out a few of the transfers - again not saying NIL was involved. Ryan took it as an insult that NIL was mentioned (it wasn't) and has looked rather silly.1 point

Osu has a hole at 165 if hamiti goes 174. One goal for osu should be having 10 guys auto quality and not needing any at large bids. It help the image and also the way Mizzou won 2 big 12 titles in a row was having all 10 guys score points at big 12. I would agree with u that it’s possible that’s it’s not huge points at ncaas but he is a potential big 12 finalist and will really help in duals.1 point

WBB is a much much better product now than it was 20 years ago. It helps when Shaq and other media personalities say WBB is more fun to watch than MBB. Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have a lot of star power, but there are as many skilled and charismatic characters as there are in wrestling. WBB also has broad appeal, so it's easy for fans of different stripes to become drawn in. On the other hand, if you listen to the things wrestlers say and how the sport is marketed (i.e. the commercials and video shorts during Nationals) and it feels like the sport targets a very specific demographic. Imo WBB is not that different from the way women's soccer and the USWNT has grown its fanbase and support.1 point

First question. Yes. Second question. A couple of reasons. Hall announced live on Flo that he was verbally committing to PSU. You do not have a live announcement on Flo if you have already committed elsewhere. And the article he posted talked about J Robinson calling out Hall for choosing to go to the Olympic training center and for committing to PSU.1 point
-
I can't find anything that says Hall ever committed to Minnesota. The only thing I found said he announced his choice of PSU over Minnesota, Ohio State, ASU, and Wisconsin live on Flo.1 point

We should explore alternatives of course. But to mandate their implementation when their costs are at their highest and reduce the implementation of reliable and cheap sources of energy is foolhardy. WA just passed a law that tells Puget Sound Energy (PSE) to stop hooking up natural gas to new construction. But not only that, it incentivizes PSE to cut off service of natural gas to whoever they care to do it to. It is a strange bill to target just one energy company in the state. So here is the result. PSE gets to raise prices to make this happen. PSE has hundreds of thousands of natural gas customers that heat their homes and water with natural gas. When they cut off nutural gas to those folks, they will be forced by state mandate to ditch their furnace and water heater and purchase electric units, which no doubt will escalate in price. Then, that can't be done because the electric service is not sufficient to run those units so PSE will necessarily have to increase their service to these houses for 30k each maybe. So for PSE this is a win win win. For the consumer this is a lose lose lose. This is what government mandates create. It is the law of unintended, or intended, consequences. FWIW - I just bought a new gas furnace a few months ago and I'm concerned it will have to be trashed soon if this doesn't get reversed. There are efforts now to get an initiative going to delete this law. It was just signed and I'm not sure of when it actually takes effect. If you doubt this you can look it up, it is known has House bill 1589. https://www.biaw.com/house-passes-hb-1589-clearing-path-for-electrification-energy-rate-hikes/ https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/legislature-could-be-closer-ending-pses-natural-gas-obligations/KGSA5UVZUJCHHPNQRFMEPYPVFY/ https://mynorthwest.com/3953865/controversial-clean-energy-bill-drops-ban-on-natural-gas-may-face-challenge/ https://mynorthwest.com/3956123/inslee-signs-natural-gas-bill-into-law-critics-say-it-comes-at-expense-of-customers/ mspart1 point

Gimme Vito, Yianni, Dake I think Spencer has the best game in town when he’s healthy, but he’s like Gomez at this point, knees are always a concern. Yianni, I’m hoping, is back from his dinged noggin. Nick Lee has a very strong anti-Yianni style, but Yianni has the tools to go further. Dake…is Dake. It’s his weight class and, even though the weight class is deep, he’s a generational talent and its his time. Dake was very smart in that he adapted his style to be easier on his body. This was JB’s downfall I believe. 10K reps of ploughing his face into the faces and chests of the strongest people on the planet takes a toll.1 point
