You can't be a real person. Either that or your reading comprehension is severely lacking, and your need to infer things that are in no way ever said is quite sad and scary. Not even sure how you function in life with the way your brain thinks. 1. First off I never offered any solution to anything so not sure where you got that from. As for addiction, someone chooses to take a pill that is KNOWN to be highly addictive and chooses to keep taking it, then yes, that addiction started as a personal choice. So, in your opinion, do some people, no matter what choices they make, will always end up being an addict?? Seriously?!? 2. The nerve struck was that domestic abuse is a horrendous thing and completely unacceptable/unforgivable act, and before you infer anything about me on that freaking topic, you better freaking check yourself! You are the moron who brought it up in the topic of homelessness...I did not!! As for all the other crap you just spewed crying about the homeless and how I may or may not feel about them again is whackadoodle stuff. You didn't ask me any question that would lead you to ANY of the conclusions you came to. You asked if homelessness was a personal choice thing or if it was something else...I answered BOTH you stupid moron!! Now I know why I stopped responding to you for awhile. Get some help dude.4 points

My intention was good. To electrify the house. Too bad I did it wrong and burned the house down. But my intentions were good. My intention was good. I wanted to write the perfect paper. I got help from other authors without their permission or citation. But my intentions were good. My intention was good. Try to get people out of poverty. Part of the rules were that married people would not get the benefits but singles would. Wow, talk about out of wedlock births skying through the roof. Talk about keeping generations in single households an in poverty. But my intention was good. My intention was good. Legalize drugs so we get rid of cartels. Drugs got more potent, and more deaths were incurred. More people are homeless and addicted than ever before. But my intentions were good. My intention was good. Do not charge people with law breaking for camping on streets and parks. Next thing you know we have people addicted to drugs on the streets, pooping on said streets, peeing on said streets, dying on said streets. Stores close due to rampant shoplifting which also has been decriminalized to help the poor. The stores closing do more harm to the poor than the alleged assistance. But my intentions were good. My intention was good. I placed more taxes on the evil businesses to make them pay their fair share. What I didn't think would happen was that they would pass those tax costs on to their consumers. I thought for sure they would pay out of pocket for these taxes. So I get more money in taxes (yay!!) but the consumers have less money (sad) and the business leaders are making more money (sad) so overall a good deal for me. But my intentions were good. I could go on all day but this is tedious and obvious and self manifesting. You don't need me to point these out. There are visible for everyone to see. mspart4 points

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I've heard this as a kid. Just a little research and thinking would have predicted the outcome. The intention - to guarantee gig workers a minimum pay ended up having them make much less than they were without the intervention. Good intentions are not enough in the real world. mspart3 points

https://hornetsports.com/sports/2024/1/18/combatu.aspx This forum tends to orbit around Penn State and hopeful dreams of D1 universities restarting programs but this is an interesting read. Sacramento State is creating a Combat U Program. They are still working out the details but they will be collaborating with nearby Urijah Faber's Ultimate Fitness for instructors and programs. The Sac State President (Luke Wood) is a young guy who trains at the gym and is always looking for new ways to drive enrollment and create a destination university. Sac State has a club wrestling program and the odds of a CSU restarting their team are on par with winning the lottery (although Humboldt State's program is on the horizon), but having a university president with a visible interest in combat sports is always a good thing.2 points

Erstland is a good coach but not have ing much success this year. And we all know about the mass exodus at Northwestern. This is a good year for Illinois to return some favors from the last few years.2 points

It matters to me as the fan, I want the best possible matches in the finals. I'm sure it matters somewhat to Carr, as wrestling a 5 in the quarters is typically going to be tougher than the 6 or 7, but I think there's clear separation between the top 3 and the next step down, which, in my opinion, is Ramirez and Olejnik. I think the Ramirez over Carr result is flukish (I know Cornell fans are going to be pissed about that, but it's just my opinion.)2 points

The conference tournaments do not matter for RPI purposes as the pre-allocation spots are determined prior to the tournaments. Then the tournaments can be used to fill the spots. It is only dual and tournies prior to 2/26 that count. So anyone sitting on 12 or fewer matches will probably need to pick up a tournie somewhere to get to 15. Scanning I see: DeAugustino, Figueroa, and Trombley at 125, Arujau, Fix, Schriever, Rini, and Madrigal at 133, Vasquez, and Carlson at 141, Gomez, and Gioffre at 149 Lewan, and Lee at 157 no one at 165 Starocci, Lewis, Mocco, Turley, Wolak, Eischens, and Sparks at 174 Truax, and Howard at 184 Brooks, and Elam at 197 Kerkvliet, Schultz, Pitzer, Luffman, Gordon, and Tinker at 2852 points

Had a 69 Ford Econoline. Onkyo cassette deck, Two pioneer home speakers that could be pulled out of the van. Played music before, during and after home soccer games in college. The referees were none to pleased when I played Hendrix' version of The National Anthem at just under five minutes...2 points

Horse feathers. He said our streets used to be that clean and he wished they still were. It has nothing to do with freedom. You went out of your way to take a shot at Tucker and missed.1 point

Only because you skipped the part where dems have allowed our inner cities (subways too) to become shitholes when they once were not. Freedom didn’t change. The policies did.1 point

He's been looking a bit more like his old self as the season progresses. I can only guess that he's going to weigh as little as possible at NCAAs and still have a good chance of winning, so as to make the cut to 57kg in a month as easy as possible. We will know all we need to know at the EIWA tournament!1 point

That makes sense. Losing, and badly, to a guy who is 50 pounds lighter and not even the starter... No sense can be made of that.1 point

Of course it doesn't happen. Shoplifiting is down because stores do not report because police do not arrest, and courts do not punish. So that's why stores keep closing down. Not for shoplifting, mean CEOs. mspart1 point

Pro - Generally policies were good. Immigration, Israel embassy to Jerusalem, Agreement with many middle eastern states and Israel, Getting NATO nations to pay more for their own security, promoted national oil extraction keeping prices down, did not squander the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, did not see rampant inflation, Cons - Did not move quickly on border wall, did not clean out DOJ and FBI, did not drain the swamp or even get close, signed some bills that spent too much, I can't think of anything he could do different on the foreign front. Gets in his own way, can't let a good policy happen without sabatoging himself. I myself was tired of the drama. I would rather someone else be the candidate. mspart1 point

Jeff Monson... I remember him still showing up and wrestling in all the Oregon/NW open tournaments when I was wrestling in college in the late 90's early 2000's. Thanks for jogging my memory.1 point

Watching the FB video, it seems that Lange was not the only guy injured in the auto accident. Jay Hammond's summary in The History of Collegiate Wrestling confirms your assumption. It states, "Defending champ Cornell of Iowa did not enter a team. The Rams were without injured NCAA champs Lowell Lange and Dick Hauser, and a number of other starters were not fully fit. Cornell mentor Paul Scott decided to concentrate on the National AAU tournament, and the team did not make the trip to Bethlehem."1 point

Adding a little more about Lowell Lange: "Lange won his first National AAU title while still at Waterloo West High School in Waterloo, Iowa. For three of the next four years, he reigned over the nation’s lightweight wrestlers. He claimed three individual NCAA titles at 136 pounds in 1947, 1949, and 1950, along with individual national AAU titles those years. Had he not suffered severe injuries in a car accident as a sophomore in the Olympic year of 1948, Lange likely would have become college wrestling’s first four-time champion, as well as an international medalist. Returning from injury as a junior, Lange swept through the 1949 collegiate tournament without surrendering a single point, perhaps the only wrestler to do so since scoring rules were adopted." https://news.cornellcollege.edu/2019/04/lowell-lange-50-report/1 point
