Don't get me wrong, I think Kueter is the favorite if he goes as he is the better P4P wrestler and all around athlete just will be interesting considering the size different. Kueter may not be in his best wrestling shape but I can't imagine he is that much of a disadvantage condition wise than Nash. Heck, Nash hasn't even wrestled a full 6 minute match in the last 6 or so years. My point with the lineman reference was to highlight Nash's strength advantage even if he is no longer 330. Not that it matters but LBs typically use their hands to keep lineman off of them while DT are in the trenches trying to move lineman and gain leverage to control gap assignments.3 points

With Vito most likely out should be an interesting dual. Assuming Stanich wrestles you have some great matchups in: Ungar vs. Stanich Cardenas vs. Beard Fernandes vs. Taylor Would guess Cornell wins based on high bonus point probability at a couple weights.......2 points

The leader of this particular committee literally offered Hunter to testify publicly after he was deposed in closed door session. Read the subpoena. Hunter literally today said he would go for private deposition. But his demand is a new subpoena. https://thehill.com/homenews/house/4405382-hunter-biden-deposition-subpoena/ But it must be a new proper subpoena. He thinks he can dictate to Congress. What a farce. mspart2 points

I don't mean to seem disinterested, gents... it's just all our Greco guys have already lost and are hoping to get pulled back in to Repechage and for the women we only have MIracle at 62 KG (who has won here 1/8ths match) and Molinari at 68 KG (who is up shortly for her 1/8ths match) left. Not a whole lot of action by the time we all get up and around right about now.2 points

Better athlete at…wrestling? Really? He’ll get a chance to prove that on February 9th. And, at B1Gs, if he finds himself on the same side of the bracket. And at NCAAs, which he must be the favorite to win, right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

They typically add a good amount of weight in those. I went to Michigan's Football States this last year Also even if he did weigh 330lbs at the beginning of the season it is quite common for guys to lose weight throughout the year as they focus on football and not weight training or caloric intake as much. He could have been as low as 300-310lbs by the end of the year. He doesn't look sucked out around the neck, which would indicate a fair amount of weight being cut to get to our 285lb limit. I remember going to a football game a few years back when Michigan had one of those kids who was trying to do both (Gaige Garcia). He was listed at ~220lbs or something and one of the guys I was there with said he wasn't anywhere near that. Said if he had wanted to wrestle 184lbs in two weeks he could, which would have put him around 190lbs.1 point

I agree with your first two statements. In fact, the result against Taz would've caused me to decide to wear down my elite opponents before unleashing my offense. It makes logical sense. As for chest lock defense, I think that's basically physics. Snyder will always be heavy for the weight, but he's not too tall, and that means he has a center of gravity that is much closer to the actual chest lock and therefore easier to throw over. What exactly is a chest lock defense? Maybe finish his takedowns quicker or at a better angle? Cheers! NOTE: I don't know **** about physics.1 point
-
I agree, I’m worried. I think that Snyder’s match with Taz, has him thinking that he needs to wear his opponent down before unleashing his offense. My thoughts is that he needs to work on his chest lock and leg attack defense, while continuing to be a remorseless attacker. I also wonder if Snyder is now getting reeled in by the younger guys in 97. I believe that Snyder is going to have to make some adjustments and improvements if he’s going to be on the medal stand in Paris.1 point

Thought the same exact thing. Tom to first reporter: Ask the question you want to ask! Tom to next reporter: You know I can’t answer that! LOL. It certainly seemed like he was inviting the first guy to ask about Ferrari. He didn’t, but I honestly don’t have a problem with that question. “Do you have plans to add anyone to the roster for the second semester” answers the Ferrari(s) question without having to say the name. Of course Tom had to add the “at this moment” which adds ambiguity.1 point

Unless Taylor doesn't win gold - then he is going to stick around and go on a revenge tour. But the end of the current quad is going to be a much bigger changing of the guard than ever before. JB, Taylor, Cox, and Gilman are all likely to leave their shoes on the mat. I think Dake will continue going even if he wins an *olympic gold, Gilman retires the next time he doesn't make the team which may very well be in 18 short weeks, and Snyder is going to compete until he's 40 or can't make the team (I'll take the former). We are very much witnessing a valiant last stand and we should all take a moment to appreciate the renaissance of freestyle wrestling. The real treasure was the chairs we threw along the way.1 point
