Anyway, if I took over a high school wrestling program these are the changes that I would institute: Men’s and Women’s Wrestling. From the instant I was hired, all print, broadcast and social media would refer to the high school teams as Men’s or Women’s wrestling. I want my guys to know that I think more highly of them than anybody else does. When you walk into the wrestling room, you are no longer a boy or a girl, you are a man or a woman. Also, if they take a swing at me, they will be charged as an adult. Beer. There’s way too little beer involved in high school wrestling. I say, if you win a match, you get a beer. If you win a tournament, you get a six-pack. Just don’t walk off the mat and say “Beer Me” out loud because the Principal is sitting right over there. Detention. I would volunteer to be Detention Hall Monitor. New kid shows up, and I’m like, “So, you like to scrap.” Then, tell the tough guy or gal, “You know the saying, ‘Pick on somebody your own size’?, well, in wrestling, not only are they your own size, but they are your own weight down to the freaking ounce, so whaddaya say. Hmm. Hmm? Get your finger outta your nose.” The Local Dairy Queen. I would stake these joints out to look for my 98-pounder adding weight to impress potential mates, or look for my next heavyweight, who can’t resist the smooth creamy deliciousness of a S’mores Blizzard treat. Pool Halls. The kids that hang out here are the ones I want. I would start picketing out front with a sign that read, “Pool is NOT a sport! It Is, at Best, a Pursuit or a Hobby.” I would underline and capitalize the word “not” for emphasis. This is what I’ve come up with so far. What else can I do to get started off on the right foot?

I say in North Carolina. You typically have good weather in March, the 2nd most D1 teams of any state in the country (UNC CH, NCSU, App State, Davidson, Duke, Campbell, Gardner Webb, Queens). Charlotte has more hotels/eating options, and a bigger arena, but doesn't have a home town team. Raleigh has a home town team, but a smaller arena.

This blog was premised on offseason speculation so that's all fine. This was not the first time, nor will it be the last, that we've written a speculative article based on tournament registration info that was later changed or updated. That is not the reason at all. A combination of superior tactics (guerilla warfare), superior motivation (defending a home), and a massive amount of naval support from the French had a lot more to do with victory than game or vermin shooting. To be clear, I am not against guns or gun ownership. However, the idea that guns that are used for hunting and sport are grouped with military grade weapons and should be protected equally is where the NRA loses me.

To me the culture that is bad is the one where people think they can do whatever they want with no consequences. The culture that is afraid to talk about and address mental health. The culture that feel that parents aren't and shouldn't be the ones teaching their kids right and wrong, hold them accountable, or have a say in their education. The culture where people are victims and it's always someone else's fault for what has happened to them. And finally the culture that blames an in adamant object for the bad caused by bad people.

What is truly odd (and absolutely ridiculous and stupid) is for you to somehow link the message in his song to a psychopath killing a bunch of innocent people. But coming from you...guess I am not surprised. Sad when political ideology gives way to common sense and logic. Let's summarize what has happened on here in regards to his song...it has been called racist because of where it was filmed...but no other video's, commercials, or movies that have been filmed in the exact same spot were called racist. Then it is about celebrating guns and gun culture because of one piece of lyric in the whole song that mentions getting a hand me down gun from his grandfather? Next it is about somehow promoting violence....yet the same people have no problem with ALL the other music out there and politicians that, in fact, actually call for violence against innocent people and police. Not to mention the song is about trying to stop people that are causing violence and breaking the law. The great thing about all of this, is that in spite of all the idiots out there, he won't be cancelled and he will make a ton of money...all the while the idiots are crying with their selective outrage looking stupid.

I understand what you are saying. It is a very difficult speech to parse because it rambles painfully, as Trump often does not finish his sentences, or says nonsensical things. He also frequently says one thing and the opposite thing in the very same sentence. I look at it this way. He was speaking directly to this audience. He was not addressing Congress or Mike Pence or anyone else. And he was imploring them to march while using inflammatory language. It is my personal opinion that his own actions should disqualify him from office. But he has not been tried, nor convicted of any offense that would make that official. As it stands he is free to run for the Presidency, I just think he should not.

Wrestling is set for Paris. The IOC won't have LA/2028 program finalized until Dec 2024, but I don't know if the sport is at risk for the chopping block again. It definitely caught everyone off-guard last time, but wasn't there a bit of a scandal with rich and influential members of the IOC cutting wrestling in favor of Modern Pentahlon (since dropped) and other pet projects? I think we might also see one of two things happen in the future as well... A - Women's Greco is added via UWW. The change this might do to our Olympic chances is that it may reduce our current '6' weight system down to '4' weights. That would be shit. B - Greco roman is dropped and only Freestyle is offered. Trump's single greatest policy failure was his attempt to block the peaceful transition of power. This is so fundamental to the proper functioning of a democracy that no other policy is of remotely similar consequence.

My first boss out of college did the NY Times puzzle every day. He was pretty proud of how easy it was for him. He also use to say about dumb guys, "he couldn't spell cat if you spotted him the c and the a. So one day I am doing a crossword puzzle and one of the answers is cat. I finish the puzzle except for the t which I leave blank. I take the puzzle in his office and tell him I am struggling with the last word and need his help.
