  2. I sometimes like to take the meatloaf out like 15-20 mins early. Slice it in half lengthwise. Later sone fresh mozzarella and maybe tomatoe/sauce/whatever. Re assemble put top back on. Finish

  3. WrestleStat is now listing Chance McLane (formerly of Oklahoma State) as a member of Arizona State's wrestling team for next season. I hadn't seen or heard anything on that myself. Flo Wrestling transfer tracker does not show him as going to ASU. https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/10776671-2023-ncaa-d1-wrestling-off-season-transfer-tracker

  4. USA Men's Freestyle won the first two weights that were held today. Jordan Burroughs won 79kg and Michael Macchiavello won 92kg. Two other former NCAA wrestlers also medaled at 79kg- Nester Taffur (Colombia, Boston) and Shane Jones (Puerto Rico, Old Dominion). Would be nice if either of those two schools still had wrestling, but alas. Women's wrestling won the team title with five champs- Hildebrandt, XMP, Velte, Forrest, and Amit. Biggest story was several big time upsets: Dom Parrish lost twice to finish 5th, Kayla Miracle was pinned in the semis and won bronze, and Olympic champ Helen Maroulis lost in her 1st round match and DNP'd. Men's Greco won six weights (Cuba won the others) and the team title as well. Kamal Bey had a nice win in the finals, nice for guys like Duffield/Scott to bring home gold as well. Copied from a friend.

  7. No worries - I agree - the potential is there - Chance and Legend will give them tough matches. I agree also that Legend looked small and I think he would be much better at 157. Wick seemed bigger and I could see him putting on size. You are right about Daschle - I think he is better suited at 174, but If Rowley does end up at Poly then Daschle will go 184. He has the frame for it and those Lamers keep growing. Crazy to think that Cal Poly could have 3 Lamers and 4 Crecent Valley HS kids in their starting lineup if they get Rowley. Pac 12 needs to replace the firepower of Griffith, Woods, Truax, etc.

  8. Good get. Cal Poly is going to be solid next year again. That 149-184 stretch might be the best in the P12 next year 149 - Lamer 157 - Lamer 165 - Wick 174 - Rowley (Kemp?) 184 - Priest Not sure Kemp is coming back, though.

  13. "Spills?" Doesn't that generally refer to gossip and something with negative connotations? He said he changed the culture, they focused more on Wrestling and then talked about some things they did at practice...

  14. Facundo, if healthy, will have something to say about that. Loser takes an OLY? Or maybe Facundo goes up if Starocci isn’t coming back? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  35. The problem is that over the past 5 years, he was never actually given a chance to properly heal. It is the single worse mismanagement of an athlete in terms of health that I have ever seen in the sport. People forget just how successful he was as a junior on the world circuit-it was almost a foregone conclusion that he would compete for years winning senior world medals. And now if he ever makes a world team, I will be thankful and view it as an incredible comeback story. Anybody criticizing Lee for not competing at NCAAs or the Open has not followed his career-the guy has done nothing but compete when he should have been healing. It's true that people will remember him as a great wrestler regardless, but the sacrifice of his personal career for the Hawkeyes to get team points at NCAAS is one that will unfortunately probably be forgotten. He was every bit the wrestler that Gable Steveson was and could have been one of the best US wrestlers of our time.

  42. This is what I mean; the school can monitor compliance but as I understand it they aren't supposed to coordinate opportunities. I think the clearinghouses are a combination compliance system and wink. To be clear, I don't have a problem with any of it either. If it were up to me I'd let the schools openly bid on players.

  46. If he takes over as coach and wins 15 NCAA titles in 21 season - time then to commission a Statue. He is a very good wrestler. No doubt about it. If you really want a Lee Statue - we have some Lego's we can sell you so you can make one.
