Why did he abruptly leave Blair Academy in high school?

Believe the middle brother got in trouble.

Not said in the story is whether law enforcement checked then and later for any firearms and confiscated them. Often domestic violence charges mean the cops confiscate all firearms & you don't get them back until the case is over & Not Guilty is the verdict.

If the charges are accurate dump him into the system.

Not again, these are warrants stemming from him being a pregnant woman beater.

Technically I think he was arrested again.  But it looks like your point is true in that he was arrested for criminality that was previously known (violently assaulting a pregnant woman who may be his fiance and carrying his child) and that the article isn't about a different prior alleged crime.

There is something new in here, though, in that they allegedly had to use surveillance to catch him, and that he allegedly actively tried to evade the surveillance, demonstrating that as his wrestling career and life as a citizen has atrophied, he is allegedly showing solid development and growth as a committed criminal.

If you're going to be a wild young adult who gets popped by law enforcement and learns from the experience you don't want to live like this, you don't need the evasion skill.  But if you're going to keep being sought by the police in multiple jurisdictions for an array of serious crimes, you've got to put some work into avoiding arrest because you need the escape skill in addition to the crime committing skill.

Previously he would just allegedly drive a 100 mph with cops on his tail while endanger the lives of countless people. While a useful skill, that's not sufficient. Thus the article says the police allege he slipped into a car driven by a woman. (Port in a storm?  Good luck to her. )

Definitely more subtle than a high speed chase, although he does appear to need to work on his skills. The article says that, while surveilling,

"Around 10:42 a.m., they observed a woman leave the home and get into the driver's seat of a pickup truck. A short time later, investigators said Ferrari was seen crawling out of the garage and getting into the truck's rear passenger seat."

Obviously an intelligent (not in the cards) or experienced (he's working on it) criminal would do it differently -- have her bring the truck into the garage, get in the trunk or lie on the floor of the passenger compartment, then have her drive out seemingly alone.

But I do think the effort shows he realizes that he needs to work on his current craft -- as if it were a deadlift being taped for a social media post -- and I am hopeful for the future.

If you post the overhead shot you'll also see he was giving the cops the double birds while being cuffed.

Do we have any idea on when his court date is? At this point they shouldn’t even have let him bail out…the sooner he’s in there the better for him and society. Get him some old hat in there that will guide him better in life before he becomes a legit lifer.

I don't think he had actually been arrested for it previously; just warrants issued for it.  This was him trying to avoid said arrest.

I texted a buddy who was a room guy on the Nebraska team years ago; he confirmed army crawls not traditionally part of their warm up. . . could explain why that evasion technique didn't work

Can we at least all agree that he has no future in wrestling at this point? Are we finally there?

Depends ... are there any more stupid win at all cost coaches out there ... he hasn't been convicted ... crawling out of a garage isn't a crime so ... ?  🙄

I read it just arrested again in general not specifically the latest assult.  He was arrested for speeding and outstanding warrant eastern NE, again speeding evasion western NE, can't recall if he was "arrested" OK for assault or simply charged but this counts as an "again."

he received next to absolutely zero interest from any D1 programs after his release from Nebraska...

George Mason had a cup of coffee while mulling it over and decided nah... and they took Anthony who has a more true unsettling history and way less upside...

apparently Presbyterian took a look at as well...

that was it...

no disrespect intended, but, when those two are the only programs that even have a convo with you and both ultimately say thanks but no thanks, your D1 collegiate wrestling career is done as fried chicken...

AJ's entire manufactured persona was not going to allow him to "stoop" any lower...

thankfully, he just does not have the ability to pursue any kind of international career, so, at absolutely worst, we might only have to see him show up at the open once more in a desperate attempt to generate some noise...

I'd like to say no way, but there's always a team with no scruples and a roster spot to fill.

Is anybody else impressed that Douglas County (county seat:  Omaha) has streets numbered up through 204?
