keeping him out of jail is my point, stop being a weird angry bitter weirdo.

Well I mean he should be in jail…we’re all in agreement on that right?

Caviera is his uncle, so perhaps he feels differently

@fishbane

this ~~> John Smith getting AJ a National Title is one of the most impressive coaching jobs in NCAA Wrestling history.  <~~ is not true

It's not strictly true.  It's hyperbole.  There also is some truth to it.  Smith succeeded where other top coaches such as Brands, Manning, and Koll could not.

Not sure where your AI is getting those rankings.  Below are Flo's rankings.  The latest one they published was in March 2020.  Earlier Ferrari was number 1 but he didn't wrestle his senior year and fell down the rankings.

It’s literally a quote from a flo article with the date and the author

and a Oklahoma state article calling him #1

only point is it wasn’t a suprise he won NCAAs.

As in you quoted it from the flo article or an AI produced that for you?

The flo article that is from is 4/8/2019. Ferrari was #1 again 8/6/2019.  After that he started falling.  On 1/8/2020 he was down to 5 and on 1/8/2020 and finished the year #10 in the last class ranking for the class of 2020.

You don't need AI to figure a guy who missed his entire senior season is going to fall in the rankings.  And whilst being 1 shows the potential to win NCAAs.  Somewhat rarely is that potential realized as a true freshman or ever in challenging cases such as Ferrari.

It’s a copy paste from a Flo article.  Same with the okst article.  Only point is he really surprised no one winning NCAAs his frosh year.  He was a highly ranked recruit.

up to that point, AJ was only the 3rd true freshmen to win NCAAs in the history of ever...

some of us knew who he was before then as well...

he surprised a metric fuk ton of people winning that year...

That can't be right.  Pat Smith, McIlravy, Ware?, Dake, Schlatter, Spencer Lee, Diakomihalis... Mark Hall.

I’m pretty sure he was number one and just didn’t finish there? Possibly because of that injury that derailed his senior season.

regardless...

plenty of people were very surprised AJ won it...

looking at what has happened since only proves that surprise is/was warranted...

I believe he was the 3rd true freshman to only drop a single match all year… and the only one who never avenged his lone loss

If I were to have never seen him wrestle until these past couple of years there is absolutely no way you could have told me he had won a national championship or would…

to be 100% honest, it still absolutely blows my mind that an NCAA title can be "won" on one knee...

Just like holding your arm behind your back the whole time in neutral.  It’s not stalling.

as a Greco human you won’t understand though.

you finally got something right...

no Greco human" understands  why anyone would actively choose to not wrestle as a strategy in a wrestling match...

So if you don’t understand the rules for a completely different sport …..   ??    But prefer an hour of boring hand fighting and rarely having real scoring that’s on you then.

you are adorable...

choosing a strategy to actively not wrestle in a wrestling match doesn't feel like wrestling even if the sport actually values and encourages and rewards not actually doing the sport...

i fully understand why some cheer for it...

It’s still more entertaining vs endless boring hand fighting which is why no one watches Greco.   Folk is 1000x more exciting.
