With the current administration in Washington will we see foreign student Athletes being denied this year? Canada & tariff situation - will it cause Visa revocations/denials for students? Will Ono from Japan lose his chance at Penn State? Will we find ICE at sporting venues picking up Athletes/fans? It is a possibility & if it happens some programs could get hit hard.

Yes, they did. Just not on a weekly basis. Penn State is where Alabama football has been. THE target for anyone they schedule. Teams that have no chance but may have a few wrestlers who are a challenge. /then - maybe the Upset in a march or two?

On the Team score - they won handily. On individual match scores it was closer but the fact is that they won. /some won't give Cael & co any credit unless they win every match by Pins and then will make excuses for a wipeout. Would love to see PSU go against top teams every week. Reality is different. Some duals help smaller schools. Some give the wrestlers time to work on specific moves or tactics live, not just in the room. Every match risks injury no matter the ranking of the competitor. When Gary Kurdelmeier & then Dan Gable took Iowa to Championships we heard the same whining. Especially loud as Gable's guys put together nine straight Titles. Cries of packing the room, "fixed" matches and under the table money were made. The formula then was as it is now. Good coaching that good kids believe in and the willingness to do the work required to be the best. David Taylor has the drive and is getting the talent. Would love to see Home & Home duals with PSU. Maybe in the future?

Of greater concern is the possibility of a mass drone attack while the wrestlers are there.

Most other individual sports have Championships with more than one competitor per nation. Some have three. Why not wrestling? Yes, we would see some teammates going against each other at times but it would even out over the tournament. Then, make it a true double elimination tournament. All that travel to be "one and done" is hurting each team. The wrestler deserves a wrestle back chance even if only for third place.

We have Seven NCAA champions coming back for another season. Which will successfully repeat & defend their Title? On the Team Title I don't think Penn State gets overtaken unless they have a major letdown, injuries or illness. Don't know if Oklahoma State can perform as well. Their youngsters are a major target now and overperformed. So, how many win it again?

Hope we see vinatage Woods. If so, he wins. Smart, tactical and can mix it up with anyone.

Injury. Illness. Fluke pin, maybe? Four full years of competition Cael didn't get sick or injured at the wrong time. Some things are beyond the control of the wrestler.

Not said in the story is whether law enforcement checked then and later for any firearms and confiscated them. Often domestic violence charges mean the cops confiscate all firearms & you don't get them back until the case is over & Not Guilty is the verdict. If the charges are accurate dump him into the system.

Agree that coming into College Joe Heskett was higher rated than Cael. But, Dan Gable was getting press all through High School and going into College was thought the top prospect. He would have been the top money prospect - unless Yojo and OSU were actually in the picture. Uetake was the man from before Day 1.

If Cael can get Van Ness to open up earlier he will win it. His habit of sleepwalking the first period hurts him. A lot. Come from behind works when it does but we saw how it worked out in Crunch Time. Cael & Co can come up with a plan to get Shane prepared to go on offence earlier and eliminate most of the catch up wrestling. It works against many but won't against Vega - his main problem next year. He will have to pressure Vega - maybe spend more time in the room learning motion and aggression from Messenbrink - if he expects to win it all.
