  1. https://www.ncaa.org/tampering-impermissible-recruiting-violations-occurred-in-iowa-state-mens-wrestling-program/ Their punishment One year of probation. A $25,000 fine, plus 0.5% of the men’s wrestling program’s budget. Two, one-week bans on recruiting communications with transfers for the men’s wrestling program during the first week of the men’s wrestling notification-of-transfer windows for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 academic years. Disassociation from the booster for two years. A 10% (equivalent of two contests) suspension from the men’s wrestling season for the former head coach, who is now the director of men’s and women’s wrestling, during the 2026-27 academic year.
  2. Will this become a new trend with the 5 for 5 rule being introduced?? Levi Haines was the first to do this that I know of and it obviously paid off well for Forrest last season. Waylon Cressell is another example, looking forward to see what he does this season! PSU currently has two studs who could take a grey shirt and still get 5 years of eligibility, Jayden James and Clinton Shepherd. Back in the day guys like Pistol Pete and Eddie George would take post graduate years at military academy’s so it’s not a new phenomenon. Derek Stingley and Ryan Williams are more modern examples of highly recruited prospects who either graduated early or reclassified. But with holdbacks becoming so common in wrestling and the new 5 for 5 rule instated I believe we’ll see an influx of top guys reclassing bc it’ll actually be beneficial to graduate at 17/18 now
  3. Lmaooo I knew someone had to be on both forums
  4. Carter Starocci Carter Starocci should be Iowa’s next head coach, and I genuinely don’t see another serious option. The guy won five NCAA titles in the toughest era college wrestling has ever seen, thrives under pressure, and has the kind of confidence that instantly changes the culture of a room. Imagine recruiting visits where the coach casually reminds kids he basically forgot how to lose. Iowa doesn’t need another coach—they need a winner who expects championships every season, and Starocci is the definition of that mentality. Mitchell Messenbrink Mitchell Messenbrink is exactly who Iowa needs if they actually want to dominate the next decade. The pace, the offense, the constant pressure—he wrestles like he’s trying to score 30 points every match, and that’s the identity Iowa should be chasing. Recruits would line up just to learn from him, and every dual would instantly become must-watch TV. If you’re trying to build the most exciting program in the country instead of just another good one, Messenbrink is the obvious hire. Kyle Snyder Honestly, Kyle Snyder should be Iowa’s next head coach yesterday. Olympic gold medalist, world champion, NCAA champion—the résumé is so stacked it’s almost unfair. You don’t stumble into that level of greatness; you build it through elite discipline and leadership. If Snyder walked into Iowa’s wrestling room, every single athlete would immediately know what the standard is. Championships wouldn’t be the goal anymore—they’d be the expectation. Bo Bassett Forget waiting twenty years for experience—hire Bo Bassett now and let the dynasty begin. The guy is already one of the biggest names in wrestling before he’s even wrestled an NCAA match, and his understanding of branding, recruiting, and growing the sport is years ahead of everyone else. Every top recruit already knows who he is, and Iowa would instantly become the center of the wrestling universe. Sometimes greatness is obvious before it happens, and Bassett is one of those cases. If it were up to me to make the decision right here, I would have Carter Starocci as the head coach, and Bo Bassett as the associate
  5. Brotha I already made post abt greco a few weeks ago and it’s at like 17 pages I’m engagement baiting a certain someone
  6. I have come to a realization that all the arguing over Greco and Freestyle over the past few weeks has been futile… Pankration is a Man’s Sport Fuck all this pansy finger holding and hugging, if you aren’t getting rocked in the face, you aren’t a real man lil otto and Maxxie Black would get killed by Khabib in a 2v1 pankration match
  7. Since AI likes to hallucinate and make things up I’ll drop some research articles on you nerds https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/21615667.2016.1201552 This one shows that during gold medal matches at the 2015 Greco-Roman Worlds, an average of 71% of the match was spent holding onto each others fingers 63% for the Bronze Medal matches this one shows that the majority of points scored in greco matches are due to passivity this is a neat one comparing all three styles title ‘Indicators of Spectacle in Wrestling at the 2021 Olympic Games’ it finds the ratio of action in Greco Roman and Women’s to be 70% on feet 30% par terre while in Freestyle 80% of the action is from the feet. Here is a good quote explaining their further findings. The average number of actions per match does not significantly differ (p>0.05): 4.23 actions for Greco-Roman wrestling; 4.47 actions for freestyle wrestling, and 4.08 actions for women’s wrestling. However, when considering the average number of points scored per match, statistically significant differences were found. Thus, Greco-Roman style wrestlers score an average of 6.95 points, this indicator is statistically significantly lower (p<0.05) than in freestyle (8.12 points) and in women’s wrestling (8.07 points) They also found Greco wrestlers overwhelming led the group with 1 point moves and had a disproportionate amount of matches that ended 1-1 A UWW endorsed study that finds passivity points lead scoring on the feet… Greco Roman wrestlers are 3x more likely to get a neck injury (and twice as likely to get an ankle injury for some reason)freestyle wrestlers develops cauliflower ear slightly more Freestyle wrestlers possess more muscle mass and less body fat than Greco guys, leading them to be faster and more agile as well so not only is freestyle more fun to watch, they also have the better athletes
  8. If only my school had wrestlerettes I could’ve pulled it off b4 I entered high school the team did not have a dedicated room, just rolled out mats behind the bleachers on the 2nd floor of the gym. Well I guess the cheerleaders practiced in the same vicinity which made it impossible for coach to have all eyes on him when showing technique
  9. I dated our teams manager but she ended up being crazy and the coach banned her from the room
  10. I’ve already made $1200 from putting it on OnlyFans
