You think a former age group worlds medalist and NCAA national champion (7-2 over Ayala in 2024) is not a good get? You wanted to throw out that @BruceyB didn't know wrestling while also (un)ironically ignoring the fact that he has been battling both injuries and a poor cut due to injuries. When do those last two things bite you the most? Tournaments with multiple weigh-ins, right? You are either clearly too close to the situation to give an opinion that isn't clouded in jealousy (or some other toxic emotion), or you are thick, as Dr. @MPhillips has so eloquently stated. Worst case scenario, which I would not assume, is that you are just being a blatant troll. At the end of today, just as you knew yesterday, getting Figs to man 133lbs for OSU next season is a good get. That means at best you are being obstinate.6 points

It is a terrible coaching move. I would never bring in someone a stud who fell short of AA'ing. I mean, look at what happened with Hamiti. The warning signs where there went he imploded in the B1G finals and failed to reach the podium last year. Stupid Oklahoma State, stupid!5 points

Ignorance isn't bliss forever... In my state, I’d start with every kid opted in to public sex ed, flood parents with clear details on the curriculum and their power to pull out... guaranteeing transparency and parental control.3 points

I'll be the buzzkill... Grew up in Stillwater and still have a community of family and friends there... I literally never heard of "Okie State" until I joined this forum. "Okie" is a loaded term, the older generation still remembers it being a derogatory term. You can use it but you handle it with respect and know your audience. It's kind of like, I can punch my little brother but you cannot punch my little brother lol "OSU" works always. "OKState" works in print (OKstate.edu is the college website and on various branding). "Oklahoma State" works always. It's not complicated. I do love the wordplay though let's be honest. Too bad Okie has other connotations3 points

Progressive outcomes seem to undermine justice. They enable unfair wages via illegal labor through open borders and lax enforcement. They prioritize criminals’ rights over victims. They define rights / benefits by race. They strip personal choice / freedom. Words vs. deeds...3 points

I think it is possible Jamison's output increases a lot without having to pull as much weight as he does. I think his strength will likely also translate just looking at Levi this year. If you aren't glycogen depleted for months, you're going to be stronger.3 points

4th grade 120 pounds 9th 171 10th 275 weighing about 200 11th 215 12th 215 RS and RsFR 197 Finished in the dancing bear weight class, was able to "bulk" up to 248 for a single day. Not fun do not recommend. I'm currently training for another Boston Marathon where I'm hoping to stay under 2:47 and this morning was 188.6 two weeks out going into taper madness. Pre-race double dinner and morning liquids for the late start should get me up to around 202-4 at the line in Hopkinton.3 points

I notice a lot of us are regularly wasting our days away grumbling about wrestling on here. Has me curious as to what you guys all do for work. I'll start - I work for a non-profit in the daytime and do security work at a bar a few nights a week.2 points

That's too bad. He seemed to be enjoying his role at Ok State and it looked like the lightweights were learning a lot from him. I think he'd be a solid addition to the staff at ISU/CRTC. Speaking of RTCs, is Gilman done done competing? Maybe he's gearing up for another cycle and is looking for training opportunities away from RBY and Fix.2 points

What is a critical thinkers framework to 2020 election being the most secure ever? Observe oddities, ask questions, seek answers... Oddities The Spanish flu pandemic saw a decrease in voters. Yet the covid pandemic saw 23M more votes in 2020 compared to 2016, and more votes than the "most consequential election in U.S. history” 2024 vote. 19 states had no ID rules. Ballot harvesting is legal in some states Counting was paused Real people testified to problems that resulted in 60 court cases; mostly tossed on standing rather than merit. Favorito's Georgia case (145K ballots) still lingers in 2025. The Biden laptop suppression... The "Cabal" steering outcomes... “Hundreds of millions” spent to change rules, influence media, and control info flow. The published article in the Times about "The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign that saved the 2020 election." You mentioned Dominion... okay The University of Michigan computer science professor J. Alex Halderman hacked the Dominion ImageCast X machine in multiple ways from seconds to minutes in front of government officials. Now ask questions... And seek answers...2 points

Hard to tell, but I assumed it was Elam. In just taking this from a post on the Iowa board and a vague thread on the Cyclone Fanatic board that says something like "we should all listen to Baschamania today "2 points

I work with large data sets to try and figure whatever/stuff out. I call it rolling around in the numbers until something happens. My dad called it torturing the numbers until they speak. I also describe my job as, "it is hard to tell the difference between what I do, and goofing around". So that affords some latitude.2 points

To be fair...he said it didn't seem legit. C'mon. 1-We know what old people's skin is like. It simply tears easier. 2-Anyone who Wrestled...I'd hope they wouldn't dispute this. I had my ear ripped about a quarter inch(doesn't sound like much, but when the top half is folded over and I need to stich it back to my head, it feels like it. You can't tell. Also, we know how little knicks like this bleed. The man dead behind him didn't fake it.2 points

It's really more about how he carries himself. Will constantly pull out the "I'm not a journalist" card when he's proven wrong, but will proudly show off every time a major media outlet quotes him in an article about wrestling. Will egg Iowa on and on but will be up in arms if you point out what he is doing is some weak trolling bait. Claims to be "trying to do right by the kids," but will cry up a storm when a parent tells him not to make posts about her son. Hell, he's even started referring to Dean Peterson as "our last 125lber" because the kid expressed not being happy with how he was sharing his transfer to Iowa and sharing their text messages to anyone who questioned the validity of his statements. To put it bluntly, he is a parasite who feeds off the groundwork of others (whether it be wrestlers, coaches or journalists) in order to appear like a "prominent figure" in this small community because he couldn't do it on the mat.2 points
