I guess when the moderators say they will not fact check and that is up to the debaters, and they enty sneak in fact checking that is demostrably wrong, that is a problem. That is why Vance felt it necessary to correct the moderator on on the Springfield - Haitian issue. She got it wrong. He had it right. But in putting it to her, they turned the mics off. Again, not what the moderators were supposed to do. They initiated that and talked over Vance continually even after he pointed out that they broke the debate rules. They were had and didn't ant any of it. The moderators were in the wrong on that one. mspart3 points

The level of reality and self awareness in that article resembles the poster in its superficiality. A number of the ‘faults’ presented are instead indicators of character.2 points

I have on several occasions. At one point the joke of the board was how in one thread I had ole what’s his name who used to follow me around, but has seem to have disappeared, throwin his insults at me when I was calling him out, while on the other hand had three point takedown on another thread doing the exact same thing. I’ve had people give me shit about being on the fence and not picking a side, because I call it out as I see it….not only if it’s one side or the other. But maybe your best bet is to stop obsessing with what the left is doing so much, and focus within. Just a thought.2 points

I see a lot of haters. If you are not entertained or interested in where Bo goes, or his updates, simply do not read the post. Of all the crap going on in this mixed up world and all misdeeds of so many athletes some want to vilify Bo because they do not like him counting down his college decision? Give me a break! I enjoy it. I look forward to the weekly eliminations. Look at all the dating/reality shows on tv where there is a weekly elimination. This is the way of today. Some here are stuck on "Lawrence Welk" and "Hee Haw" mindset. Enjoy it or ignore it, but lashing out only makes you look petty and small. Tatoos are not acceptable now? In who's world? I have zero tatoos and probably never will, but damn, that train has long ago left the station. The percentage of people with tats these days must be at an all time high. Why not let Bo be Bo? If you are not a fan, so be it. But posting negatively about a high school kid because he is not doing things the way YOU think HE should act and live seems, well, petty.2 points

September-October is always the high alert time of year for us. Particularly those storms that get into the gulf as those water temps are so warm this time of year. My biggest concern for this month is a storm that is able to develop enough that it forms an eyewall before entering the gulf. If that happens, it's going to be very bad news for wherever it goes.2 points

Middle East is plenty violent without Israel. Sectarian violence between different tribes, religious denominations etc is so common over there it’s normal. If you don’t know that you are very uninformed.2 points

Yes, because Biden’s words weren’t ‘there are no (or no more which you shifted to) resources’. Those were the words Sean Hannity used for his caption on the video he posted, of Biden not saying “there are no more resources”. He, and other people do this, because he knows the blind followers will follow blindly and repeat it on social media. I have seen this play out directly and first hand. But in this case, what was actually said was: Question: Are there any more resources the federal government would be sending? Biden’s answer: No, all of the significant resources had been prepared and were ready to go before they had asked for it. But again, who wants to dig a little for the truth when the lies we are told are so warm and fuzzy.1 point

Sasso coming off of a full healthy season at 157, with an offseason to put on appropriate size/strength? Sure, that matchup would've made for an interesting style clash. Let's just see if Sasso can even compete. The guy was at death's door just a year ago, couldn't walk for months, and still has major limitations. The fact that he's alive is amazing; everything else is just bonus at this point. Personally I'm just hoping he's able to take the mat on senior night. That's more than enough for me.1 point

The terrain in the mountains is another huge factor. Funneling all that water into 20 or 30 creeks and rivers is a recipe for disaster. Had that area been flatter the flooding would have been bad but not nearly as destructive. But the stalling of that massive storm really made this a huge destructive disaster.1 point

I live about 80 miles east of all the damage. I was watching on the radar as it was coming up Georgia and South Carolina. It moved very fast until it got to North Carolina then it stalled out over western North Carolina. The storm on the radar grew as it was coming up through. The rain that normally would have been dumped in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina was still in the Helena when it arrived in North Carolina. Then it stalled when it hit the mountains for some reason. Some areas got 20 to 30 inches of rain in a very short period of time. Worse flooding I've ever seen.1 point

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Hamas_charter In May 2017 Palestinian political and military organization Hamas unveiled A Document of General Principles and Policies (وثيقة المبادئ والسياسات العامة لحركة حماس), also referred to as the new or revised Hamas charter.[1][2] It accepted the idea of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, i.e. comprising the West Bank and Gaza strip only,[3] on the condition that also the Palestinian refugees were allowed to return to their homes,[4] if it is clear this is the consensus of the Palestinians[5] ("a formula of national consensus"[6]); but at the same time this document strove for the "complete liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea",[2][6] and did not explicitly recognize Israel.[3] The new charter holds that armed resistance against an occupying power is justified under international law.[1][7] While the 1988 Hamas Charter had been widely criticized for its antisemitism, the 2017 document stated that Hamas' fight was not with Jews as such because of their religion but with the Zionist project. However, Hamas fell short of repudiating the original, 1988 charter, saying it was a document of its time and the new document represented Hamas's position for now. Views on the 2017 document varied. While some welcomed it as a sign of pragmatism and increased political maturity, and a potential step on the way to peace, many others dismissed it as a merely cosmetic effort designed to make Hamas sound more palatable while changing nothing about Hamas' underlying aims and methods. The revised charter did not formally repudiate or revoke the previous one, with Hamas co-founder Mahmoud al-Zahar saying that it is not a substitute for its founding charter. This does not describe what you said. You'll have a hard time convincing anyone that this means anything other than what they have always held. Good luck. mspart1 point

Although you reject this, you are pro hamas and pro hezbollah. Your statement above proves that. You say they now want peace for a Palestinian state. Because they are getting their butts handed to them. But they have rejected every such proposal in the past. They do not want a Palestinian state. They want Israel gone. Period. From the river to the sea. That is what they want. Israel is not in agreement so they are the bad guy. mspart1 point

The logic is so simple you can't understand it. If attacked, you defend yourself heartily. Anything less invites more attacks and perhaps loss of the war. Arabs attack Israel, Arabs will die. That's the lesson since 1948. The corallary is similar. If Arabs don't attack Israel, Arabs and Israelis don't die. Everyone says Israel has to right to defend themselves, but cry they are too rough in defending themselves. I think Israel is tired of being constantly attacked. So they are eliminating hamas and have decimated the hezbollah fighters. Hence eliminating the threat. Arabs plot ways to kill Israelis. Israel plots ways to effectively defend itself. mspart1 point
-
And you are complaining about it when they defend themselves. They have not gone to war against anyone as the aggressor. They have answered the aggressor with very aggressive defense. And the world has a tizzy when that happens. Jordan and Egypt have learned their lesson. They don't do that anymore you'll notice. Iran has pushed them to their limit via hamas and hezbollah. Iran just fired over a hundred missiles at Israel. But I'm sure you will say Israel should not retaliate. That is just idiotic. Iran did this precisely for the carnage of hezbollah, they said so. Their favorite pet has been squashed because they were planting the seeds of major escalation. So your solution would be for Israel to forgive Iran for over a hundred missiles, hexbollah for constant rocket attacks, hamas for constant rocket attacks and an incursion that killed 1200 people and carried off 200 prisoners. It won't end until Israel is allowed to defend itself properly and learn these guys to stop attacking them like they did with Jordan and Egypt. mspart1 point

No one can resurrect Bob and Willie bit short on time to deal with it. Maybe we should look for an obscure under used forum, say something like women's badminton, that we could all jump to and take over. I say we send Jimmy out as an advance scout. If there's no push back on JC's posts then they're probably ripe for the taking we all move over enmass and they won't know what hit em. What say you?1 point

As I recall, ISU didn't have a spot for Gable, so no betrayal. Same with Brands - got passed over for the HC spot for Zalesky. Cael was a different story - pushed out Bobby Douglas, left for better recruiting grounds and cash, and took his ISU recruits with him. That's a true dagger in the back. Cael is better than everyone else at everything and that includes betrayal.1 point
