  1. Would a true "alpha male" have a poll as to what he should do next? Or would he just do it?

  2. Victor Wembanyama gets drafted by the Spurs (along with his brother). He rapes a girl in San Antonio, posts a picture of his butthole on SM, totals a car and almost kills a teammate while driving like an asshole, his brother shoots up the house and car of another teammate for dating his sister. Spurs release him. Then he gets overtures from another team (say the Lakers), he goes to LA, signs a two-day contract to play in an intrasquad game and plays poorly but scores the winning basket at which point he takes a swing at Lebron then flips him off and all of the Lakers fans in attendance. After that he gives an interview in which he says that he's a good guy and a "christian", starts selling magic rocks and SM and is now saying the NBA is for pussies and he's going to do something tough like going to play in Turkey.

  4. He made many bets and lost then didn't pay up. Add in that while his posts look genuine here, they are not. He does it not out of interest of the subject(s) but out of facetious douche-baggery. if you notice nearly every thread he creates has ulterior motives of 'negging' individuals on 'his' team (Penn State)or he flat oit decrees #2 Central Michigan the new favorites because Ferrari Sr farted in their general direction - or something as ridiculous as that.

  5. This whole thing gets me thinking about the value of Zach Glazier. He did Iowa wrestling an enormous favor by providing the clearest possible demonstration of what they were about to take on before they had to take it fully on. Zach Glazier has to be Iowa's Most Valuable Wrestler.

  8. https://uww.org/brightcove_video/19782 UWW recently posted all of Taylor/Yazdani as a single 53 minute video. The first two minutes of that first match Taylor looks like he has no business being on the mat with Yazdani. That changed.

  10. WA has three floating bridges. Two across Lake Washington from the east side into Seattle, or from Seattle to the east side if you prefer. These are freshwater bridges. There is another called the Hood Canal Bridge that spans a part of Puget Sound (salt water). This happens to be the longest salt water floating bridge in the world, perhaps the universe!! The floating bridge is a unique structure with pontoons underneath filled with air to keep the bridge floating on the water. Concrete is the main material used. There have been a few instances of the bridges sinking due to high winds and waves. The I-90 bridge was under maintenance during a rough storm and someone left the access to the pontoon open. It filled with water and took a section or two down. There used to be just one bridge there but another was built to take care of one way traffic. It wasn't too long after the second bridge became operational that the the other sank. So we still had a working bridge, just half the capacity as before but the same as some time before that. Apparently something similar happened to the Hood Canal Bridge. The WA Highway 520 bridge is pictured below going across Lake Washington from Bellevue to UW. Husky Stadium is at the end of the bridge on the upper right. Puget Sound is seen at the top of the photo. I just thought this might be interesting to the folks on the board. The bridges are a unique feature in the PNW. They are kind of fun to drive across. They used to have a section in the middle (I think Hood Canal still does) that would open to boat traffic. The bridges on Lake Washington no longer have that feature, I guess they just go around. You can take a boat to Puget Sound through the Ballard Locks from Lake Washington but I don't think there is any real big boat traffic that does this. So they probably head towards shore to go under the bridge as shown. The lake is blue in this picture. It does not often look like that. This must have been taken on one of the rare non overcast days. mspart

  11. I don't think it's likely Ohio State wins, but there are plenty of individual matches they could reasonably turn around. - Ragusin has wrestled very well this year, but Bouzakis certainly has the firepower to beat him. - I don't like the Gomez matchup for D'Emilio, style wise, but D'Emilio tends to build throughout the match and if Gomez doesn't open a big lead early there's a chance DD could nab a win late in the 3rd. - Lewan wrestles every match to a 1 or 2 point decision in either direction. - Amine is wrestling poorly, and Hepner beat him last year when Amine was having a similar run of bad form. - Bullock is having a nice year but isn't a guy you can just pencil in for W's against slightly inferior competition. - Davison is a definite favorite but Feldman seems to be getting back on track after a dreadful December. Again, I'm not predicting an upset, but there are plenty of opportunities here to turn the dual on its head. It's also in Columbus and will be a sell out in a loud venue.

  23. Yes, that is the PSU bump. They tend to perform closer to their seed than others. During the Cael Sanderson era it looks like this on a seed vs average finish basis: And the PSU specific distribution looks like this:

  24. I dunno of many teams other than psu that can’t find a way to get 8 matches in. They are 73 days into the season. A match every 9 days isn’t a lot. CStar is almost at a match every 12.1 days. We are 45 days until the post season. 61% of the season is gone. #growthesportcarl

  25. Uhhh... let me stop you right there. 7 champs would be shocking. Very shocking. I would be shocked. Electrocuted. 10 AA's I think many of us were speculating before the season could be in the cards--seems less likely now with SVN down, but it wouldn't shock me if it still happens.

  30. I'm sorry you're a hypocrite. Only calling out name calling when its directed at someone you defend. In the entire conversation I asked questions to get clarity. If that threatens you, you and your ideas are the problem. Because you don't have the wherewithal to answer my questions to a satisfying extent is your lack of knowledge, creativity, or self awareness that your position is crap. You all answer the questions, if at all, that you know won't paint you into a corner. And you get upset when I point out you are dishonest(you are). Then you all feel attacked and lash out like toddlers wanting a cookie. You're embarrassing. I don't like the idea that people like you exist and spread your stupid in the same circles as I do. You make our community dumber. Here come the names again, have at it losers!

  32. In his weekly press availability, Cael said they are going to have to get the 149lber (Evans or Kasak, likely both) some more matches to help the conference qualify the weight and earn an allocation. So, seems that from that perspective there is certainly a negative side to reduced match counts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  35. At this point, Illinois under Poeta is the same as it was under Heff, very disappointing and a below average Big Ten 10. Blown out by Pitt, Mizz, and Ohio State. This will be another blow out and possibly a shut out. The only quality wrestlers are Webster, Ruth, and Luffman. The rest are about .500 wrestlers. Looking at the rest of their schedule, who are they favored against? Michigan State and that's it. 125- Ayala techs. Cardani 5-0 133- Teske dec. Madrigal 8-0 141- Woods maj. Pucino 12-0 149- Webster dec. Rathjen 12-3 - Could see Voinovich 157- Franek maj. Roberts 16-3 165- Caliendo dec. Moore 19-3 174- Ruth dec. Kennedy 19-6 -Would be interested to see if Iowa send Arnold out here or at 184. 184- Riggins dec. Connell 22-6 197- Glazier maj. Pettigrew 26-6 285- Luffman dec. Hill 26-9 -I'm guessing we see Kueter wrestle once this weekend as he works his way into wrestling shape. Either here or against NW, my thought is NW.

  38. Fifteen required for an RPI (must be against D1 competition). Coaches' Rank and Win Pct will earn an allocation for the B1G, but the lack of an RPI will negatively impact someone when applying the formula for seeding criteria. Example being Brooks as a #3 last year.

  39. No. They will have enough for 2 of 3 categories (coaches' poll, winning %) which is all you need to earn the conference an allocation.

  43. So now we have it. Resorted to name calling. But before that, you resorted to acting like a 3 year old asking why about everything. Why is 2+2 = 4. Because that is life. But why? Because two fingers plus two fingers is 4 fingers. But why? Because Isaac Newton said so. But why? Because he invented the idea of gravity. But why? Because he wanted to do it before the German guy did it. But why? Because you'll be in time out if you ask why again. But why? Ok, time out. But why? Door slams. Yes this is a ridiculous example to type out. But you are the little 3 year old and it is impossible to have a conversation with you when you demand answers but provide none. We've had that here before many times. Always irritating to say the least. Nobody argues with your right to ask a question. But when you refuse to answer questions, it is not a conversation anymore, just an attempt at misdirection. You are the example the title of this thread is talking about. mspart

  44. You are conflating two very different issues. Voting and votes should be without question reliable and secure. If not, then that should be investigated. This is different from my house being investigated which would be a violation of my constitutional rights. Looking into voting malfeasance is not against any constitutional right. Your example is an example of refusing to see what is right in front of you and making up argument to try to divert attention from what is right in front of you. Can't see the forest for the trees is apt. mspart
