  1. Watched a few matches this week and takedowns generaly got "TWOOOOOOO" yelling from the audience. How long do you think it will take until most all are on "THREEEEEEE"? I wonder if many yelling it even realize that scoring for takedowns has changed?

  3. One thing that I hear all the time from this generation is “big company CEO makes this much money…” “big company makes this much profit…,” “big company…” They don’t seem to any any appreciation for how the big company may have gotten there.

  5. FBI Uncovers Horrifying Extremist Reading Material In Mike Johnson's Home ”BENTON, LA — The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced today that it had discovered terrifying extremist reading material in a raid of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson's Louisiana home. "We were very troubled by what we found during our totally legal raid," said FBI Special Agent Curt Schampers. "When our tactical team breached the door of the home, one of our lead agents called our attention to a piece of reading material on the living room coffee table. The reading material appeared to be a thick, leather-bound book that had pages with gold-gilded edges. Clearly some type of radical, religious text. This type of book is normally only found in the homes of truly dangerous individuals." Eyewitnesses reported seeing FBI agents removing the book from the home in a sealed plastic bag for further investigation. "You could see the fear in their eyes," said Johnson's neighbor Darius Anderson. "I heard them talking to each other and saying they knew people who read that book were radical, unhinged fanatics who believe crazy things and want to take over the world. To think Mike Johnson is a part of something like that…it's pretty scary." When asked to comment on what impact this discovery may have on Johnson's ability to serve effectively as Speaker of the House, Special Agent Schampers had only this to say: "This country would look a lot different if the kind of people who read that book were in charge of things." At publishing time, the FBI refused to comment on horrifying reports that framed passages of religious texts were found hanging on the walls of the home.” https://babylonbee.com/news/fbi-uncovers-horrifying-extremist-reading-material-in-mike-johnsons-home

  7. Now that we have established that the Big Board matters, lets take a look at who is optimizing (haha, we know who it is) the Big Board talent. From 2015 to 2022 (2023 class has not competed yet) the race for the most Big Board Top 20 wrestlers is pretty tight. PSU has the edge over Ohio State 18 to 15. But PSU has gotten 27 AA finishes from those 18 wrestlers (1.5 per) while Ohio State has gotten "only" 18 from 15 (1.2). But where things get really crazy is that 23 of PSU's 27 AA finishes were first, second, or third (85%), while Ohio State had 7 top threes among their 18 AA finishes (39%). Iowa gets trashed a lot for under-performing, but the real issue is they under-recruit. They got commitments from only 9 Big Board Top 20 wrestlers. So, even though those wrestlers averaged 2 AA finishes per, there just were not enough of them. One caveat. The school where the wrestler committed gets credit for all the wrestlers AA finishes regardless of where they were achieved. This hurts Iowa with a lot of recent transfer AAs (DeSanto, Eierman, Woods) and PSU (Dean, Kerkvliet). My logic is this is a measure of high school recruiting rather than retention. For a fuller picture, you would want to look at retention too (independent study opportunity?). It could be that PSU is just getting the best of the best leading to those best in class results. But, that is not completely the case. Ohio State has brought in slightly higher ranked wrestlers on average. ASU has also brought in higher ranked wrestlers on average, though significantly fewer of them.

  8. Her opponent is CUBANA. We ain't gonna put up with no misgenderin' nobody here! And it is wrong to state a nationality anyway, as NHS has learned the hard way. No nationalities. It is some sort of ist or phobe to do so. Unless your DNA is properly checked ahead of time for clearance to say Polak.

  13. The Mormons first called the new/supposedly restored church "Church of Christ". Then after they found that was the name of another group they changed it to "The Church of the Latter Day Saints". Then a few years later Jesus told Joseph Smith the name was to be "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". Then a couple decades later Brigham Young decided Jesus did not understand English properly and the name was changed to "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". Must take some gall to correct Jesus... But, you will notice how important capitalizing "The" is for them. Did they beat Ohio State University to that one?

  18. The IRS is already fully funded. The 80 billion came from the Reconciliation Bill .WE have added a little over 2 TRILLION DOLLARS to the National Debt in 2023. We still have 2 months to go. We are at 33 TRILLION Dollars in debt right now. Would it be fair to say we could easily cut back 500 billion dollars in spending. Then you have 100's of Billions of dollars in waste and fraud that never gets resolved. Then you have old Joe wanting to forgive 500 billion dollars of student loan debt. I have no problem if Joe and all of his buddies want to dig into their own pockets and payoff student loans but don't take my money to pay off the loans of others. Myself and my 5 children have all paid off their student loans. Its called personal responsibility. You signed for the loan ,you got the degree. You owe the money

  19. This is what was said in the 1992 USA wrestling yearbook in the BB write up - "He enters the Olympic year after a rare non-medal performance at the 1991 World Championships, where he placed seventh. Closer Inspection shows that Baumgartner was a victim of bad breaks. In the 1st round he lost to the tough 1989 WC Ali Reza Soliemani of Iran. His other loss was to Turkey's Mahmut Demir , who poked Baumgartner in the eye to score the winning points in overtime." After that book was published prior to the 1992 Olympic trials BB went on to have some of his greatest years. He went Gold, Gold, Silver Gold, & Bronze over the next 5 years that included 2 Olympics.

  25. Having coached at Midlands for one of those smaller schools, I can tell you that Cyzewski, and Kraft before him, limit the amount of non-D1 entrants/programs to the tournament. The most we ever had was two. As you may know, student-athletes don't dictate team schedules. For the smaller programs, as you call them, that is an added expense to take one to two guys and coaches to said tournaments that can be 700-plus miles away, in some of the cases we are talking about here. Good luck getting your administration to sign off on something like that. As someone who has been in charge of scheduling and budget for one of those smaller schools, I can tell you personally that those conversations do not go far and end pretty quickly.
