  1. We wouldn't need a Woke translator if people left when Trump was elected.

  2. Well, it is not the WC now is it. Not everyone is going to show up. But a ranking tourney is for those wanting seeds in the WCs so it will be tough than the Spanish Gran Prix lets say. Anyway, We should have had 5 golds if Dake and Taylor were there. The other World Team members did well medalling. mspart

  3. The one that gets me is “forgiving” student loans is an investment that benefits everyone. If someone isn’t able to pay their student loans with their chosen college degree, it seems like it was a poor investment on their part, but somehow it is a good investment for everyone else?

  4. Most left-leaning individuals in the cycling sphere are fine with this. Particularly women (those impacted most), from what I've observed. This is the correct course of action. I have no problem with transgender participants taking part in bike races, but it needs to be in the men's category. Why? Because even if they are on substantial testosterone suppression/reduction medications, they've had the physiological development of a man for a significant portion of their life. That's no small thing.

  5. International refs consider mat control when it comes to activity clock violations. They have done this for years while the US does whatever TF they want to do. I am not excusing it or faulting Arujau (or his coaching/prep). I wish the refs here would just simply ref the same way. I believe Arujau will still medal at the very worst come Worlds. He beats that guy next time and doesn't leave it to the clock.

  6. To be fair, all those idiots who owe $130k for their Performance Art History degrees were going to vote for Biden, anyhow. There certainly is a large difference between the student loan promise and other campaign promises. The promise of cancelling student loans targets a very specific voting block. If you want to compare it to running on tax reform, it would be like promising Californians that the federal government would pay their state income taxes for them.

  7. I have a question for you. In the upcoming election I decide to pay 1 million voters 1000 dollars each to vote for a certain candidate in order to win the election. We have the election and the candidate wins. Did I do anything improper? If so what is it. As for your question about taxes. Taxes are derived from money I EARNED from WORKING. If the government wants to lower my taxes and give me back some of MY MONEY I'm fine with that. I have paid in Taxes for 54 years. Forgiveness of student loans is taking my tax money to pay for someone else's debt. I paid back my student debt. All of My 5 children have paid back their student debt.

  8. I don't think it really is at a ranking series tournament like this... How many returning Worlds medalists were in the entire field, not including the USA? Less than ten?

  18. im glad you brought that up. im not a trumper. I knew in 1986 he was a fraud. "We got the NFL right where we want them." I didn't vote for trump. he is an idiot. I wish they would just ditch him. DeSantis seems like the way .. but at this point, im not sure either side can fix what we have. I am glad however, to see you at least admit hillary is a crook.

  19. i wasn't worried about any of this... until the drag hours in schools for kids started happening. you have to read the alinsky rules... and perhaps reread 1984 1984 is a warning. not an instruction manual. denying these things are happening is the problem. Once we can talk on common ground we have a chance to discuss solutions. but some people WONT see that some unsavory things are actually happening. and fox? no. not sure why that was brought up. I dont watch news at all.. .except for the weather once in awhile.

  25. Abakarov was trailing 1-0 thru into the 2nd period when the ref put Narmandakh the Mongolian on the shot clock... Narmandakh took a shot, Abakarov spun around and proceeded to ankle lace the Mongolian to the moon. TF and a place in the SF for the Albanian world champ. (Arujau still alive... ) D3

  28. Vito loses 2-0? Surprising score. He has been prone to give up points. And is known for scoring them. Will be curious to see this one. I will say that he has improved his defense in past year it seems. Nahshon matches are a counterpoint to that. Still, only giving up 2 to a defending 57kg world champ is a good thing. Will be curious to see if Vito was on the attack.

  29. He did. The default came the match before that when the Iranian who beat Zahid in round 1 defaulted to Finesilver because Iranians will not wrestle Israelis.

  30. 'birthing people' for what used to be known as 'women'... is not even remotely pervasive. But you're 100% right, that would be ridiculous. It isn't really happening. Just another fictitious boogie monster that fraudsters want people to worry about without any basis. Remember when a politician used to say that D's were going to take Christmas away? And take the suburbs away? Just another con. (Except jross - I heard he was giving away his Christmas tree just yesterday. Hope he didn't go to the dark side.) None of these things was or is being taken away from us. Just more fraudster BS made up to try to scare people. Good news is that almost nobody is scared by this stupidity. The general public has gotten too educated for these fraud scams to work.

  31. The answers are on both Hillary's email server and Hunter's laptop. Don't laugh - I heard it during a seance led by Madame Cure-A in Chicago. She doesn't use the internet, she's too legit for that. She laid it out square. She thinks we need to defund the FBI, Secret Service, and all of law enforcement. They're all the same, all in on the Q. You can't trust those people. She is secretly on the Dark Web, so nobody knows where she is. But I do. I can hook you up. Just PM me your Venmo ID to start the process - no money needed, not trying to profit from this. We just use that to verify who you really are. No law dogs are allowed, we make sure of that. You can trust us.

  32. "Bonus hole"... that's DAF. Some here think that "they" are changing our language on us. But you have got to wonder who "they" are. No evidence of ANY specific group in on this. Who do you suppose "they" are? Would seem possible that it is conservatives trying to stir up the pot. Or even more likely, just plain old internet goofballs. That "they" scapegoat does get a lot of press. Too bad it is mostly ignorant and meaningless. Easy word to use when the poster has no clue but still wants to lay blame.

  33. I have watched Yianni for many years now as I am from upstate NY. He simply was not the same wrestler this year. I can’t put my finger on what made me realize it but he seems to have lost the joy that propelled him throughout his youth. Maybe he is burnt or has other stuff going on in his life but he looks like he is just going through the motions. After the gomez loss, i said to a friend that he seemed listless and that continued through the entire season. Was glad to see him buck up at the end but he could have lost at any point in the tourney and i wouldnt have been surprised. Not sure what to say but he needs some time off to find that extra something to get him back on track.

  34. Good post. For me, the interesting thing here is that nobody commented on it. I suspect it is because both parties have been guilty of doing this exact thing for many years. And, since most here seem to post with a particular L or R bent in mind - they didn't have much ground to stand on. As a middle of the road guy, I see it as an insightful, useful perspective.

  35. Nope - all wrong. Adding things that others have said is great. But you have to make your OWN point. In other words, at least mention WHY you are posting the darn thing. Nice. You got it this time! Just adding a little personal commentary to know you're not a 'bot' and are an actual human with an actual opinion that the rest of us can reference. Well done.

  37. There are problems with your theory. The city data is portion of searches in that city, not portion of searches overall. So if DC had one search and that one search was "twitter" it would register as 100 even though that is a miniscule portion of all searches. The other problem is that the word twitter is popoular where population is high, which is also where field offices tend to be. Correlation is not causation. Of course, I know every word I just typed was wasted on you. Look out behind you, its the FCBIA.

  40. The WATCH PARTY starts in about an hour. Taking Mat A at approximately 4:30 am (Eastern) and 3:30 am (Central) is America's Zane Richards. He will be wrestling a tough Georgian. This fellow from Georgia looks like Liam Cronin's stronger and bigger Eastern Bloc uncle. I did a Moneyball look at Bujiashvili prior to the World Cup, but Zane didn't wrestle this guy, Suriano did. Anyway, here's that scouting report: In the first round of the ranking series tournament, Zane Richards will wrestle Beka Bujiashvili of Georgia. Certainly not the easiest possible draw, but also a guy the IRTC athlete can handle. We did a Moneyball look at this fellow before because he was a potential opponent for Zane at the World Cup. They did not wrestle. Instead, Suriano handled him 6-3. Here is video of a match between him and Suriano in a ranking series event, which Suriano won 2-1. (Requires FloWrestling sub). He looks like a bearded Liam Cronin here. THE GEORGIAN: BEKA BUJIASHVILI This fellow must see a lot of his fellow countryman and former gold and silver World Championship medalist Beka Lomtadze, who won his medals at 61kg and most recently competed at 65kg. Beka Bujiashvili has been less successful. He is still a very good and dangerous wrestler. In terms of height and weight, he looks like a Caucasus region brother of Zane Richards. He is well-muscled, though not as well-defined as Zane, not particularly tall and has quite a head of hair. He's been around forever, having first wrestled internationally in 2009. He won a bronze medal in 2013 in the Junior World Championships. Since then, he's won a weight class at the Henri Deglane tournament. The Georgian finished 12th in the 2022 World Championships beating an over-matched Spaniard, but then losing to Hasagawa of Japan. He had a fifth-place finish at Matteo Pellicone, but that entailed one win and two losses, though he seemed injured in at least two of his matches (lower back). He did finish third in this year's Russia-less European Championships, which entailed two wins and one loss. Finally, he finished second at Yasar Dogu with a four-and-one record. SPECIAL: Bujiashvili has used a head in leglace, which has been successful. At other times, even when he falls into them after a successful double, he just doesn't seem to know where to begin. He will lead with his right leg even when shaking hands. He will usually use his right leg to gain ground as well. On occasion, he will wrestle from one knee. His arm throw is fast and dangerous. One of the best I've ever seen. He'll roll into it without tying up first. Beka will take a two-on-one and sit through for a very interesting takedown attempt, kicking his opponent over him. He'll also go for a high crotch from the two-on-one. He will often shoot on the whistle. Be ready to defend his incredible arm throw and two-on-one, and you should have success against him. Here are his Moneyball stats:

  41. I thought Focus was going 285 as well. Also, I heard from a reputable source that Iowa was petitioning to allow up to three per weight. I naturally assumed this was because they were going for 1-2-3 at 285. Please lower your standards on reputable, source, petitioning, allow, three, per weight, and obviously the heard part.

  42. Pretty excited to see what the trio of Heethus (Princeton), Davis (Penn State), and Horwath (Michigan) do. They kind of fly under the radar when it comes to lighter weights, but I believe all three can be a factor at the weight as soon as this season (hopefully no injuries happen to the gents in front of them to be clear).

  45. Do be clear I think Kilkeary is better than McCrone right now. I think this squad should seriously consider just putting the best lineup out, regardless of redshirts. Save the redshirts in case of injury or down the line - if they are needed, for whatever reason(s).
