  1. So is fingerprinting not done anymore? It can't be that difficult unless all the hundreds of people who had access to that area of the WH all touched it and render that method inconclusive. I'm not saying it was Hunter's, but if it was and that was made public, his sweet deal would go away. That was one of the conditions placed on him. mspart

  2. Let me guess, it came from a bat. Seriously, mspart is correct, this should be considered a major issue, a compound felony, and entirely unacceptable. The decadence of this administration should not be dismissed.

  3. Given this country’s proximity to war in Eastern Europe and the Pacific, when the reason for supplying cluster bombs is because we’re out of everything else, and Weimar level inflation at the loss of Global Reserve Currency status, I cannot fathom the envy or jealousy that would require to vote for the man who single-handedly put us in this position because he is beholden to both China and Ukraine.

  4. I'll admit I could have worded it better...should have said COULD have someone in jail within an hour. The bigger point is how people on here downplay it just because of who is currently in office. And even more ridiculous is some on here speak like they know the inner workings of the secret service and where all the security cameras are....it's actually laughable on some on here think they are so much smarter than everyone else, but really aren't smart at all. I guess I'll take more stock in what my buddy has told me as he is an FBI agent and has been to the white house many times on official business...they knew who's coke it was very shortly after it was found. But because like everything else in our society right now, it is political and thus it will be swept under the rug because of who is currently in office.

  5. As an SIUE alum, and a coach of this kid, very excited about Porter Matecki (Whitfield School, MO) to SIUE. 3x MO Class 3 Champ. Made the round of 12 at Super 32 last year @ #120. Beat Gauge Botero (2022 Fargo 3rd), Ashton Jackson (C/o 2023 Purdue signee), and Nikade Zinkin (Cali state medalist; top 20 by MatScouts). Both losses came to Jax Forrest (12-4 in Round of 32 & 9-6 in bloodround). Kid is a gamer. Very excited about/for him.

  6. uhh, i don't think so. The Elon hatefest occurred exactly at the time he was talking about buying Twitter b/c it was a corrupt leftist mouthpiece and they blocked and censored legit science and information. Elon: I believe in free speech The Left: this can't happen! twitter will become a haven for hate speech and misinformation Two months later: The White House is guilty of pushing and pulling messaging on Twitter don't get it twisted. The schadenfreud for Elon's Twitter had its genesis b/c the left wet their panties over a guy trying to make something less political and more open.

  7. So there was thread on the appropriate board (MMA) but not enough comments for your liking so a new thread was created here? Makes sense.

  8. I don’t disagree with this, however I personally just feel Trump and Maga are far more dangerous to what the United States is (or at least was written to be). My feeling is, as I said before, policies are changed at the stroke of a pen. Once someone takes hold of an authoritarian government….that’s it. It’s all over. This is where you lose me. As I see this mindset of “you are certifiably insane if you vote against the way I think you should vote”, a mindset that has spread like wildfire and to the extremes of both sides of the aisle, is a bigger problem to the United States than anything. This is why anyone iI vote for in the future is going to be a moderate from either side.

  9. My brain hurts to think about anyone voting for four more years of this policy and culture... and it hurts to think about voting for any deep-state nut case. If this becomes a Biden v Trump election... folks are certifiably insane to vote for Biden. Forget the stupid policies on immigration, crime, etc. The open hypocrisy with how the government agencies are blind to the leftist errors and strongly convicting the right... and censoring information... is unacceptable. This current cycle is atrocious. Replace Biden and Democrats have a chance for my vote.

  13. Wrestlestat updated Rutgers to reflect what some rumors on the Scarlet Knights board had suggested earlier this summer. Anthony Clark will not be taking a redshirt after all - and will be starting at 157, while Tony White will bump up from 149 to 165. Final lineup for Rutgers: 125: Dean Peterson 133: Dylan Shawver 141: Mitch Moore 149: Jacob Butler 157: Andrew Clark 165: Tony White 174: Jackson Turley 184: Brian Soldano 197: John Poznanski 285: Yaraslau Slavikouski Very solid

  14. While we have you here (an SIUE alum) - I have to say I'm a big fan of Saul Ervin My dad doesn't actively follow wrestling, but I was spending time with him last year during Midlands and we kept getting to see Saul Ervin matches and he was upsetting guys left and right. Gritty, calculated, and under the radar - fun wrestler. Will be keeping an eye out for him this year

  15. Well, that is your opinion Bob. I have to say I don't subscribe to it. Your opinion is nothing more than a caricature. But you are welcome to it. Live in your little bubble. At least you know I answered your question directly, unlike the press secretary. But even with my answer, you disregarded it much like you judge of me. Projection seems a logical conclusion. mspart

  16. Well, Bob, at least that would be a direct answer to the question. By not answering the question, the question remains. Would I have believed her? Probably, until proven otherwise. Would I believe her now, no. To handle this better, she could have said, "No, this is not the Biden family's cocaine. What an irresponsible line of questioning. blah blah blah..." She could have gotten her licks in while actually answering the question. By not answering it, that leaves a question for everyone to ask themselves - why did she not answer the question? Probably because it does belong to one of the Bidens and she doesn't want to overtly lie. mspart

  18. It may not be rare, but it is still illegal by Federal Law. And having it on Federal property such as the WH makes the possession of it even worse. I am not saying that it is Hunter's. I was only pointing out the consequences for him if it were found to be his. It is interesting when the WH Press Secretary was asked if it belonged to the Biden Family, she said that was an irresponsible question to ask. As for the question, she never directly answered it Yes or No. So even the WH press corps are keeping the speculation alive. mspart

  19. the more i think about it, i doubt it would be hunter's. 1) he wouldn't be that stupid and why wouldn't he just keep it on him? there's a clip of him literally doing a zoot while on the white house balcony. so he obviously did have it on him. 2) let's not act like coke use is rare. there was probably numerous people on the sauce that day.

  20. Pretty excited to see what the trio of Heethus (Princeton), Davis (Penn State), and Horwath (Michigan) do. They kind of fly under the radar when it comes to lighter weights, but I believe all three can be a factor at the weight as soon as this season (hopefully no injuries happen to the gents in front of them to be clear).

  22. can you tell us what topics you think there is in-fighting regarding among citizens? and you think the problem is 'dopes like me' making a joke on a message board about Ketanji Brown not knowing what a woman is, but not the fact that we just put a Supreme Court Justice on the court that refuses to accept science. I'll say that again - a Supreme Court Justice, whose only job is to follow science and the law, refuses to accept a very basic concept because of the current cultural climate. it's the definition of politicizing a court. but yeah, dopes like me are the problem

  23. Let's hope not. I lived in MN and was happy with Ventura as governor for a few years, then he went nutty as he really is. I did not vote for him but I wasn't unhappy that he won. He was ok for a little while but became a nut case. I really don't want Trump in there as he has a self destruct mode few others have. He has good policy positions but can't get out of his own way. But I'd probably vote for BerniePragle. Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie!!! mspart

  25. Nickal had the lowest odds in UFC history so finding any action that would give a decent return was hard to find or too crazy for my risk appetite. But I'm a degenerate and thought he would want to show off his hands to earn a title fight soon so I took the juice. And I was correct... I just didn't think Nickal had strong hands for a standing KO, tomato can or not - I figured it would be a few punches + kicks darting in and out -> takedown -> ground & pound for 20+ strikes total.

  27. i'm not gonna keep going round and round with you. if you want to think Fox News is the cause behind the left and right fighting, go ahead. i think it's abundantly clear the fighting is the product of utterly idiotic policy of this administration and anti-science narratives by just about every MSM source that time and time again gets proven wrong and/or counter productive.

  29. And yet, so many people will say this, and in the next chat parrot what they hear from the media they listen to, while calling everyone idiots who listens to the media they don't listen to. The hypocrisy and idiocy is filled to the brim, on both sides.

  31. I’ve always proposed a 10 question quiz on ballots… a mix of common sense, civics and current affairs questions… nothing too difficult… if you get all 10 correct, you get a full vote, 9 right and you get a .9 vote, and so on down to zero. I suspect the number of votes would go from 160 million down to about 30 million total votes when adjusted by the multiplier.

  32. I don’t believe education and common sense are at all related. And I can’t tell you how many incompetent people I have seen holding good jobs, many unrelated to nepotism. But in Washington DC, it might help to follow the money. “I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University.” William F. Buckley, Jr.

  37. 2024 tickets have not gone on sale yet. When they do a large portion are allocated to schools who allocate them in turn to athlete families, and boosters. Sometimes you can find teams that did not qualify a wrestler (or very few) and get access to their tickets. Though you may have to join their booster club and make a contribution. Alternatively, tickets will be made available by the NCAA via ticket services. These can be a little pricey, but there is always something available. Finally, there will be people selling tickets on a variety of message boards like the On3 and Rivals boards for various teams. Along with this board. But beware of scammers in these unvarified waters.

  38. Get guys in the room and the cream rises to the top. None are surefire AA's. Mauger is still wrestling 113 so remains to be seen if he will grow into 125. Seltzer has promise for sure but his best win during redshirt was Jace Koelzer.

  39. Ever since the Olympics decreased the number of weight classes down to six for freestyle, I have pointed out the insanity of having Olympic weights that coincide with weights that are wrestled the other 3 years. It is awful for the sport as it makes the World Championships in non-Olympic years an also ran in too many weight classes and screws up the division of talent weakening the product as a whole. If your were to put the Olympic weights between the weight classes that exist 3/4 of the time, the distribution of talent in non-Olympic years would be far more equitable. It would also be fairer to the competitors as every one of them would have to move up or down to make the Olympic weights unlike currently where some are forced to gain or lose 12-15 lbs in order to vie for the spot. Lastly, it would be far more representative of the bell curve of human males. The 10 weight classes in non-Olympic years far better represent that curve. Thinking it is good business to keep certain weights intact while delegitimizing 40% of your product line 75% of the time is just plain dumb.

  43. How was Outstanding Wrestler decided? Bouzakis wrestled well, for sure, but he put himself in a hole in two matches. There was a guy who won all his matches 11-0 or 10-0 with first-period tech falls and, as you can see, gave up no points in any of his matches. This short video is from his final against a strong fellow who has already spent a year in the University of Guelph's wrestling room:

  44. He was a 2X small class state champ, moved to 6A (Bixby) and won it. He will end up a 4X state champ, and I project him to be 125/133. Tough as hell, not flashy, but stingy. Lost to Jax Forrest this year in a barn burner, lost by one. He has some big wins nationally....Oklahoma could have had him but Lou F'd all of that up. This OU staff is doing a good job, because Lou had most kids headed out of state

  45. This and there is no close second. The de-industrialization of the United States will be (or is already) our undoing. We can handle all of the graft inherent to centralized government, as unseemly as it may be, if the vast majority of working class people could productively contribute to the economy.

  46. I hope that it’s an open contest, and the winners are chosen via an internet poll. It will be a glorious shitshow. A better plan would be to return federal land to the states and allow them to do as they see fit with it.
