correct. It's funny to see people upset at the Brands and automatically taking the side of Endene.

If this is just related to his injury, do people honestly think the University of Iowa doesn't have a trainer or medical team that Brands is getting constant updates from about Endene. "Hey trainer/doc, what's up with Endene? How serious is this? Do we need to shut him down for the year and apply for a medical redshirt, or is this more of a comfort thing?" And when the trainer/doc tells Brands it's a comfort thing, yes, they SHOULD be upset he's not practicing, even a modified practice, or competing.

These are not just "student-athletes" anymore. They are being paid 6 or sometimes 7 figures to compete & win. You don't get to collect a free check and hang out...unless you're a "learing center" in Minneapolis.

Please tell me who is getting paid 7 figures in WRESTLING.

You're more naive than I thought if you believe NIL is actually monetizing the value of their name, image, and likeness. It's payouts by wealthy donors to ensure that said athlete comes to your school and helps your team win. If they don't have any intent on doing that, they don't get paid.

I would point out athletes like Livvy Dunne or... a few others if I wanted to play Devils Advocate, but of course you're right. And... then I'd point out that @ionelincluded the "rolled eyes" emoji, clearly indicating... he knew what he was being facetious.

Stop it with the Lee narrative. Lee made the decision to come back when he did. The rest of the post is decent

Seems like he was talking about perception more than reality.

There is the PERCEPTION that Iowa breaks down and... pushes it's guys to Wrestle through injury. I don't think any particular Wrestler is a valid argument. Not Kemerer when he was all banged up or whoever, just in general.

IF this was because he wasn't coming back from a neck injury, then...it would reflect very poorly on Iowa.

But, since we don't actually know, this is just going to be speculation for the next few months until the reason invariably does come out... and then we'll talk about that for a few months.

"superstar?"

What else about that post is exaggeration or fabrication?

You read the post and the thing you took exception with is Endene being called a "Superstar"

I don't think he said feces.  Pretty sure he said feceses

Volume! Volume! Volume! 🤣

I don't doubt there is some truth to it, but I'm sure that the "wrestling insider" who is likely some dude posting from his mother's basement is just looking for engagement and to make a name for himself.

I'm still trying to figure out who "Harvery" is.  And Mo isn't married, and Mo is NOT a superstar.  Do you think there may be another issue or two with the vaery amateurish post?

Ask yourself some simple things: for instance, do you think the Brands want to kick the #4 guy off the team?

Is it possible that Mo wanted to shut it down for the season and trying to get a second year of NIL from the Hawks?  Maybe rightfully so, but the Brands probably felt like if he received treatment that he would be ok and that he was trying to shake them down for another year of pay?  And what happened with Mo at Wisconsin?  :classic_ohmy:

Bad situation overall, but we may never know the whole story.  I wish it worked out, but it didn't.

One thing is for sure: I am not blindly believing Minnow or "Wrestling insider"

The nil investors must drive these coaches crazy.

Good I hope they go crazy and the current nil system burns itself out - then starts all over again, this time with guardrails.

Well said!

I read these threads, mostly for the laughs, as there are some genuinely clever individuals.  I have also purposefully stayed away from posting on this topic until now.  However, this is a great post and points out what seems to have been largely missed...there are two sides.

I had supper with "My Man" John Stutzman awhile back and the rigors of college coaching these days are surreal!  NIL, poaching, mental health days, etc.  Despite how you may feel about TnT, does not change the fact that he needs to run/manage a highly successful program.  The unfortunate reality is that "cancers" in a program do exist (not saying Mo was, I don't know) and they have to be excised as quickly as possible.   You rightly point out, maybe TnT had a valid reason for dropping their #4.  Now, I don't know but neither do most that post here.

If, by chance, Mo was trying to achieve an out, for a multiple of personal reasons, that has to be stopped immediately or the next NIL kid with a bad toe will be at the negotiating table as well.

Again, I don't know.  The speculation is funny to me but I have been around long enough to know yours may be spot on.

You put out quite a hypothesis. I'm not speculating anything. Point is, of all the things written in the post taking exception to Mo being called a superstar is mind boggling to me. Hey at the D3 level he certainly was so its not like it was all false.

He's like 6'4"...that'd be a mighty skinny 184 lber.  Even if he could, I'd be surprised if he was more effective.
