I regret to admit, but I dug in a bit on the comments and he's buying into some psuedo-physio guy that claims you should never break 90 for power lifts. So whether accurate or not, he is subscribing to someone's method of not going beyond 90 degrees.

I assumed, I knew he wasn't that dumb, especially for a guy who probably lives in the comments.

To be honest, it's actually genius  for social media . Every time someone b*tches  about his lack of full ROM , his account gets higher priority in the algorithm and he gains visibility  and more ad money , helping the man with Italian genetics  secure the bag.

I think there is a pretty decent push right now for athletes to train strictly at the top range of movement for explosivity. I can see some benefit to it because you get no recoil although that can be mitigated by pausing at the bottom, but you risk more load to the joint then. To each their own I suppose not my cup of tea, but neither is complaining in a comment section about someone not using full ROM.

Certainly not me. There may well be a strategy at work, we'll see if it can be continued into tournament time. How does he get seeded at Pac 12  -- #1 or #2 ?

I think he goes #2 - Little is 3-0 in conference - AJ 2-0 and Munoz 1-0.

I'm just catching up on the news myself since the reporting is a little scattered, but it looks like there's been a lot of misconduct: basketball coach arrested and charged with human trafficking/pimping, possession of illegal assault weapon, possession of meth for purposes of sale, multiple counts of possession of child pornography; softball assistant coach accused of SAing a player in the locker room; the softball head coach (wife of the accused assistant) knowing about it; the assaulted player allegedly in a relationship with the arrested basketball coach; AD out; CSUB president catching heat for not keeping his house in order... just a ton of drama.

AJ was very well-behaved, considering the other stuff going on at CSUB.

How stupid is his aesthetic gonna get. It used to be actually pretty well contained, even tasteful in an overstated way, now he's going sides shorter, top taller (not longer), mullet (in case that wasn't clichéd and cringe 10 years ago) and complimented with a rotation of cringe facial hair.....he'd have died it blue if it wasn't a political statement at this point.

FLO just posted a video of AJ demoing his fast twitch technique at the gym via Facebook about an hour ago.  The short video is tough to stomach yet he does add excitement to the heavyweights imo.

Heavyweight is the perfect weight class for him. Boring 4-1 matches where nothing happens for 6:57 is right up his alley. He could legitimately go for the Hodge this year at a weak 285 if he actually pressed the gas pedal, but that would require him to not drop to his knees and back up every possible moment in neutral and we all know he can ride harder than a tijuana donkey show but he doesn't turn anyone. I don't see either changing. He is going to be the most jacked dancing bear of all time.
