It won't happen, and would result in cries of "Duck!", but it would be funny to see Penn State bump Starocci and Brooks up to 184 and 197, respectively.

It would be pretty funny, although I don't see the utility nor do I think any reasonable person should claim ducking. Yeah, Dean would probably sit out in this scenario but Brooks vs Yonger is still an intriguing match-up. Possibly more so than Dean vs Yonger since Brooks might not be able to capitalize on Bastida's par terre weakness as much as I think Dean would.

I considered both matches as basically tossups.  Happel has been on a roll in particular.

We'll see. Toss-ups is a good way to put it.

A bunch of us avoiding work today?

Pros know that if the company doesn't shut down for 2 weeks over the holidays then you don't burn your vacation. It's an easy time where everyone is "heads down working on those side projects that never get touched." Examples of those projects include: starting late, grocery shopping, long lunches with old friends who just got in town, getting a haircut, procrastinating your OKRs and annual eval until the last day, and signing off early.

I would say 149 is a toss up also.

You're probably right.

I'm afraid to ask because I'm sure someone has said, but there's no cross duals between the red and blue pools, right?

Rumor is that ISU's heavyweight may be out for the rest of this event. My apologies if this has already been said.

Change my prediction from MAJ to FALL.

Does Bastida bump up to face Kerk?

I’ll start making my popcorn now.

If Kerk got on top, it’s over. 2-on-1 tilts for the tech.
