particularly while he is in a singlet of a program of a somewhat low level program and that "gimmick" is what kept him  out of Iowa

Who would give him a singlet after he does that?

I’m guessing everyone that says Bo Bassett is just a kid building his social media and isn’t narcissistic- you old folk just don’t understand.  These young people are embracing social media, leave them alone old person!

Dude was just IT, on top of the world, 665 Deadlift baby....... I mean he really had the college wrestling world by the horns.... Now it's just a joke. As a fan, its starting to be a little pathetic/thirsty, it went from "Feed me content you're so entertaining" to "Alright you're doing the splits in (insert state) and talking about your genetics, why were you relevant ever?".....
As a human, it guts me every-time I see an athlete, especially a wrestler squander opportunities. This dude could've been just one of the greats ever. A few bad choices, probably some bad advice, we remember a dominant freshman champ turned laughing stock and its sad man.

Wish him nothing but the best, but even if he wins 3 more somehow, it's beyond tainted and somehow wont garner the praise it deserves. He's just somehow a drain (And no I dont think he wins 3 more, 1 more complete season would genuinely shock me)

Hmmm...how do I put this.... I'm not an advocate for Ferrari by any means.... but you have a team that self funds, few scholarships,  low attendance and literally hanging on by a thread. Dare I say, could this be a shot in the arm for this program? I mean, it's not like they have major companies pulling their sponsorship if it turns into a circus. Whether you like or not, people are going to tune in to Bakersfield.

Why are you trying to dunk on a child?  What does it gain you?

Well, there are lots of reasons.  My cousin has a son who is 14 and already 6' 3".  He loved basketball since he was five.  Played one on one with him over the years and ran up the score knowing one day I'd be lucky to get a few buckets on him.

Both cringe but one is “I’m really excited about the future” cringe and the other is “remember those things I did? Please?” cringe lol

Yeah. Dude was it indeed. As an OSU fan I watched it all starting with recruiting. And I really have to wonder what the heck happened. Did the car wreck or admiration change his brain chemistry? Did OSU coaches and admin not have the ability to rein him in? Because he really was a fun spectacle to follow, it was cheesy but well meaning cheesy. Then it turned dark and sad (harassing people, missing camps, getting kicked out of OSU, accused of sexual assault in that order) and has kind of stayed that way. He’s chosen to lean into everything instead of of putting social media away, putting his head down, and trying to repair his reputation. It just seems like he lost some hold on reality somewhere in there and unfortunately doesn’t have anyone in his life to help him be more normal. Maybe it’ll work out for him who knows.

no offense, you must not be much of an OSU fan. I know 4 kids that took recruiting visits to OSU and he was the host, one ended up going there.  There was a lot of stuff that went on, that was never reported. Sexual, Drunk, wrecking a different car, etc.  Look at Anthony, he was not in a car wreck, he is just as messed up if not worse. The crazy part to me, I get a long with his dad very well, and Angelo SEEMS to be different. Not perfect, but he seems to control his stuff better. I think it is time to just say, OSU sold their soul to get ferrari, they knew EXACTLY what they were getting.

If he wins 3 more, that likely means beating Starocci next season.  That might garner a lot of praise…

It totally would, again I don't think he will make it a season anywhere, heck I don't think he wants to.
but yeah.
I guess I was just speaking on the fact that his talent/accomplishments are now being overshadowed by the personality.

He's just too far removed from ruling the world to act like he rules the world.......Whoever was comparing it to Bassett above.... I mean one is a wholesome kid who competes as much as possible and is humble in victory and defeat...... and the other is a trash talking flexer, who's been chaotic everywhere he goes and hasn't completed a season in 3 years. What will he be a 23/24 year old Sophomore?

Its' just not the same in any capacity. I mean if he doesn't compete this season can we stop entertaining it. I swear he'll be 43 posting videos about taking his talents to McKendree, flexing and double birding all us doubters, while teasing his jump to UFC as he beats up some waiter from Red Robin he paid 20bucks to throw on a headgear and spar with him.

He simply needs to compete and show people what he can do, and the videos will feel more "Normal" or "Appropriate"

A Starocci going for 5 against Ferrari final would be epic.

Starocci should not be allowed to go for 5 and Ferrari should not be a 23 year old sophomore. I cannot wait for all these Covid year kids to clear out and get back to some type of normalcy.

I would still pay for that ticket!

I see it playing it out this way.

Cstar wrestles a more limited schedule than any other competitor at psu….. defaults out of big 10s again.  Gets penalized by the seeding committee and Nabs the 7 seed.   He doesn’t take a photo with the team or stay for the finals.

Ferrari goes 5-0 on the season. Wins the pac 12 and somehow nabs the 23 seed…. Pisses off everyone.

they have to wrestle in the r16 bout on Thursday night…. This forum has a post that is 891 pages long and Kentucky mudflap comes out of retirement.

He would sell tickets for home duals, that's for sure!

Luke can't find a decent HWT or upper weight for that matter, it could help them.

The Dallas Mavericks did it when they picked up Dennis Rodman. They needed to sell tickets and Neiman Marcus needed to sell dresses. 💥

100%. He was doing some crazy stuff too. He would invite girls over or to go out with and say, hey I am going to have "big recruit name" over let's hang out, the recruits I know, would say, man don't put my name on that. They knew what was up.
