Below are the schools with the longest active All-American drought:

And their odds of ending that drought this year based on Intermat rankings:

Drexel, Sacred Heart, UTC, Bloomsburg, Brown, and UCSB do not currently have a ranked wrestler.

Ohio, with Garrett Thompson at #9 in 165, and Army, with Ben Pasuik at #10 in 174, have the highest probability, but Navy has more rolls of the dice.

So, who ya got to break the streak this year?

Brayden Palmer is ranked 26 at 125 and is Chatt's best shot at AA in many many years. Will it happen? I'm guessing not. But here's to hoping.

I’d give F&M a semi-decent shot.  They actually have 3 guys ranked currently via Intermat which I thought was pretty impressive (although in the lower half, highest being James Conway #17 at 184.

When was Michigan State’s last AA? I also wonder about Maryland, but I think Jax Smith is pretty good and could get it done.

MSU - If you want to count 2020, Cam Caffey, if not, RayVon Foley in 2019.

Maryland - Yousiff Hemida in 2019.

Navy gets it done this year

I think Navy has a better chance of finishing undefeated in duals this year than getting an AA.  They might be a top 10 dual team without a top 10 wrestler on the team

According to intermat they are the #15 dual team and they only have two wrestlers in the top 20; 149 (20) and 285 (13).

With the schedule Columbia as put together this year I’ll pick them to break thru. It seems they certainly want their guys big time battle tested.

This ^. I wish everyone would run the beginning of their season like Columbia has. Schedule the toughest you can find, and duck nobody. Their guys don’t have very good records right now but I am rooting for them to outperform those records come March.

what about GMU? Last AA was in the 90s I think. And VMI too unless you count Richards COVID year AA.

Sorry, I missed those. My apologies.

all good, if you add them to the list I guess best chance is GMU's 157 DJ McGee. Pretty long shot this year though, but he's only a RS freshman, so one to keep an eye on in next few years.

Yeah, but the point of starting threads like this is to talk about something other than the usual suspects. So I am sorry to have missed some.

If you ask Bob nicely he might let you edit, but you have to ask him nicely.
