It is unlikely that any of the other "big 3" had two guys who could beat NCAA champs while in high school, but it also wasn't a thing back then. We have had high school kids who could wrestle competitively with top college (and beyond) guys, but they weren't trying to. There are more elite kids like that today and those kids are challenging our open level guys. (I have heard both Yianni and Spencer say that they were competitive with high level guys while in high school)

That’s a little different in that they retired and probably not receiving compensation. (Or maybe a little because I still see Warner and Marinelli training with hwc guys). Spencer going to another club might be a little different. I like Spencer and I like the brands, but if a change of scenery was able to get him over the top, I’d be all for it.
