  1. Yes, since most seem to be held back a year.
  2. OK, got it figured out... Social media has him turning 18 this past August. That puts him at 19 his senior year and 20 before classes start Fall semester of his freshman year (at most schools).
  3. A horrible decision? He got on with his life. He is not enjoying wrestling as much as he used to, he has a growing family, and there is other things he wants to do with his life. Give me a break.
  4. That is unlikely, but possible. What is his date of birth? It is really weird with the conflicting DOB for him from multiple sources. My guess is that he is probably 18 and turns 19 in the spring.
  5. I was in attendance when he won 95 worlds at the age of 19. And he looked 19.
  6. Agreed. I'm just not sure this is the same DT. He gave up go behinds to Trent Hidlay. I love Trent, but he is no Ghasempour. I have concerns about 2024 DT. I hope I am wrong. I do know that DT knows how to wrestle Iranians, so fingers are crossed.
  7. He is great. But he wasn't REALLY 20.
  8. Actually, the question was "Does he have another entire cycle of him being the US rep left in him?" (my question) I am leaning toward "no" seeing he is increasingly injured, has weight cut issues, and his results seem to be trending in the wrong direction. (NCAA regular season, OTT, Worlds)
  9. I shaved my freshman or sophomore year in college and not often. Now I have a full beard. Took a bit.
  10. The "age cheating" thing, I'm not sure about... but he did have a fairly long career winning his last world medal (bronze) in '06, before retiring with neck issues in 2007. So a 13-14 year long career, regardless. FILA named him the third greatest wrestler of all time. I'm guessing Karelin and Medved the top two?
  11. Maybe... but Turkey had a 17 year old World Champ in 93 in Hamza Yeriklaya. Hamza went on to win two Olympics. I bet he was pretty good at 20 if he won at 17. (Also was 82 kg at 17, where he was wrestling full grown men)
  12. Both significantly heavier than Vito. The lighter guys tend to have shorter careers on top in most combat sports. That factors in as well. Look at Vito's injury history as of late... further compounding things.
  13. I guess he is "only" 24.
  14. Vito isn't that young! He is 25. Does he have another entire cycle of him being the US rep left in him?
  15. Didn't Hardy graduate from high school in 2018? I get the whole LDS mission thing. but am surprised he is only a junior. Any redshirts left for him to take?
  16. Well, DT did have a tech over the gold medalist
  17. I'm sure Oklahoma State has some fine programs, but since when is it viewed as an "elite academic school?" (Too soon?)
  18. Are you some sort of Buckeye insider and don't want to tip your hand because it will give away your identity?
  19. In this country. I supposed you could play some games regarding your location with a VPN.
  20. DT and Sad are much more credentialed now as a duo than Sad/Snyder were in their first two matchups. Maybe past prime, but better credentialed.
