  1. I'm confused here. Are you saying that you don't like President Trump?
  2. It is an NCAA champs list, but they intentionally didn't mention whether freestyle results were included as a criteria. They said they were going to leave it up to the individual to determine if they wanted to include freestyle. They also did not specify if it were a "best version of this wrestler" or "best career" team. Members of the Flo staff said they were definitely considering "best version" in some comes over "best career." So the criteria were intentionally ambiguous, except you needed to win a title b/w 01 and 25.
  3. I'm actually somewhat amazed that Flo realized the quarter century starts in 2001.
  4. I think they said "fan votes 75%, Flo staff 25%"
  5. Has Basch spoken or created a graphic yet?
  6. Also a lot of sanitization and antibiotics, which don't always get the worst stuff. The stuff that survives the antibiotics/sterilization levels up. My understanding is that "hospital MRSA" is way worse than "wrestling MRSA" in general.
  7. Basically. But it was a Cornell fan basically talking about how anyone who gets into Cornell could easily get into West Point. Which is clearly not accurate. I also wouldn't say I'm combative. I'm having a discussion, which is basically the point here. But the Cape/Cabo thing needed to be ready in context... another member talked down to someone who said "Cape" and said they were two different things. I was just telling him that he was actually in the wrong. Then he doubled down and I showed him again. I wouldn't have cared otherwise.
  8. Here we are on page 4 and rapidly growing! Funny how a large percentage of early posts were by people saying the issue is overblown... as they were overblowing the size of the thread about how overblown it is!
  9. It's the testes that concerns me more. That's where the testosterone comes from and many/all of the athletic benefits of being male.
  10. I do recall Mack having the opportunity to wrestle in the boys division at pre-season nationals and choosing to wrestle girls instead. That does seem to go against Mack's story. I am definitely not in favor of juiced up athletes wrestling in any division, but that is what we had in this case. Tough situation.
  11. Because he was clearly talking about Penn State in a Penn State forum. He came right out and said "Penn State."
  12. My understanding that even a rib (or other injury) can give staph an environment to grow and propagate. A guy I used to train with had a rib/lower back injury. Staph made its way through a cut and found the injured site which gave it everything it needed to grow.
  13. Right. I'm not saying otherwise; there are just different qualifications for a service academy: medical, physical, congressional, etc. I'm just saying that it is completely different than any other type of admissions process. So, yeah, I don't believe that any wrestler who verbally commits to Cornell can also get into any service academy.
  14. I think he may actually be a bot.
  15. So next years recruits will be the first class in some time to take standardized tests and then enter school in 2026.
  16. I'm pretty sure @red viking has uttered a similar sentiment.
  17. The physical requirements go beyond a basketball throw, a shuttle run, and some pull ups. There are also medical requirements, not to mention the congressional nomination. Then there's the whole SAT/ACT thing, which some Ivies no longer require. (I also know a NQ for an Ivy, a current wrestler, whom was not going to able to get into West Point)
  18. Oh come on! You know how Vega is going to perform on hearing and eyesight tests? Does he have any dental conditions? Also, unlike Cornell, the Academies require SAT/ACT. Cornell does not, correct? The point is: even though a kid verbally committed to an Ivy, it doesn't mean they'd easily get into a service academy. Actually, a pretty embarrassing statement to make.
  19. That could be read multiple ways. But nice save. Cornell requiring a Congressional or Vice Presidential nomination now? Candidate Fitness Assessment? DoDMERB exam?
  20. Not even slightly true. Very different requirements. Could he have probably passed those requirements? Yes. However, unlikely he went to that trouble. And was he accepted at Cornell? Cornell takes juniors in December of their junior year? Or was it that he committed to Cornell, similar how Christian Carroll committed to Penn? (or AJ and UNC)
