It sounds like a high security place with no chance of escape. Miserable heat and humidity, it might make one think getting eaten would be preferable. mspart

How much does Jake Paul pay his opponents?
mspart replied to Tripnsweep's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
When Tyson came out in the 1st round, you could see the surprise and terror in Jake's eyes after he got tagged a few times. He ran away and Tyson couldn't or wouldn't really pursue. When I saw that I thought Jake was in real trouble. But Tyson, backed way off. He came hard the first few seconds of each round but then backed off. mspart -

I hate to hear this stuff. Biden's admin, as far as that girl is concerned, was evil. They had chance after chance after chance to make it right by this girl, but instead allowed the rape of this girl and did not prosecute afterwards. This is the equity they wanted to bring? I'll forego that equity thank you very much. mspart

https://www.canada.ca/en/department-finance/news/2025/06/canada-rescinds-digital-services-tax-to-advance-broader-trade-negotiations-with-the-united-states.html June 29, 2025 - Ottawa, Ontario - Department of Finance Canada Canada’s new government is engaged in complex negotiations on a new economic and security partnership with the United States, focused on getting the best deal for Canadian workers and businesses. Prime Minister Carney has been clear that Canada will take as long as necessary, but no longer, to achieve that deal. To support those negotiations, the Minister of Finance and National Revenue, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, announced today that Canada would rescind the Digital Services Tax (DST) in anticipation of a mutually beneficial comprehensive trade arrangement with the United States. Consistent with this action, Prime Minister Carney and President Trump have agreed that parties will resume negotiations with a view towards agreeing on a deal by July 21, 2025. This is from the government of Canada. Truly a caving if ever there was one. Looks like the mighty and much vaunted Canada blinked!! mspart

This is great news. His body just needs to not reject the new lungs. Great news for Ben. Best wishes for his recovery. It is an amazing thing that lungs can be transplanted. This was not possible just a few decades ago. mspart

Hey Chrome, I like this post of yours. It makes sense to me. Well said. Regarding my DT comment, I was wondering if he would be getting caught up in all that Starocci stuff, not knowing they didn't like each other. If DT knew about all these shenanigans (if they are true) and kept quiet, then you have to wonder what he will do at OSU. That was my thought anyway. I was thinking there could be direct link made. I know it is different for athletes and coaches, but he was an athlete that went straight to head coach. So I wondered. mspart

Carter Starocci faces allegations of sexual assault and theft

Everyone has their faults. But it does seem incongruous to repeatedly invoke your attachment to Christianity and not really adhere to its basic fundamentals. But we all struggle to live as we know we should live. Hopefully they will get this figured out. mspart -

J Rob got run out for less than this. mspart -
Nobody should get a 5th season in college sports. You get four. Is there a new grade level in college I am unaware of? freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, and then what? There is no other "then what". There are 4 years of eligibility. Starocci should not have been allowed to compete last year in my humble opinion. You guys can't make me believe it should be otherwise. You can criticize me for my position but you can't make me believe that for a very short period of time, people deserved a 5th year when no one else does outside of that time frame. It's a ridiculous concept. mspart

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/live/trump-tariffs-live-updates-trump-says-he-is-terminating-trade-talks-with-canada-us-china-clinch-truce-200619062.html Trump tariffs live updates: Trump says he is terminating trade talks with Canada; US, China clinch truce What's this about Trump caving to everyone? He has secured deals with China and EU and other countries. Canada won't play ball so Trump says ok, if that's the way you want to do this. mspart

Look for car theft in Denver to increase dramatically

Here's another from U of Washington's Cliff Mass https://cliffmass.blogspot.com/ Below-Normal Wildfire Year so Far Even with a relatively dry spring, cumulative wildfire acreage in Washington State is currently below normal. You read that right, below normal. Interestingly, the dry condition may have even contributed to the modest wildfire totals so far this year. To start, consider the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) acres burned statistics for Washington State (below). This year is very low...the second lowest since 2015. The whole article is good. Dr. Mass believes global warming exists. He does not buy into the hysteria surrounding it. mspart

Yeah, in RVs world, ND is exempt from all global warming. Global doesn't mean everywhere, only where they think they can make a case. mspart

https://jonathanturley.org/2025/06/27/ice-ice-baby-denver-city-council-ends-car-theft-tracking-system-to-protect-illegal-immigrants/#more-233209 I hope the whole city council gets their cars stolen. I hope all the city cars and trucks get stolen. This is eggregious. The voting public will hopefully right this wrong headed decision. The Denver City Council has voted unanimously to shutter a highly successful anti-theft auto license plate tracking system. The system was not closed due to concerns about privacy or finances. It was shut down because Democratic members believed that ICE could use the data to deport illegals. In May, the council refused to renew the $666,000 contract with Flock for camera monitors around 70 Denver intersections to screen for car theft. That system resulted in the recovery of 170 stolen cars and 300 arrests. It is also credited with key evidence in the investigation of hit-and-run and murder cases. However, it could also be used to assist ICE, and that is all that matters. Councilman Kevin Flynn explained it is all about Trump’s election: “We know that it can help solve crime. But I think since maybe Jan. 20 of this year, those concerns are greatly heightened and have a new reality about them.” Ridiculous. mspart

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/supreme-court-rules-nationwide-injunctions-trump-birthright-citizenship/story?id=123034189 Supreme Court, in birthright citizenship case, limits judges' power to block Trump's policies nationwide The Supreme Court on Friday granted a partial stay of nationwide injunctions issued by district judges against President Donald Trump's executive order to effectively end birthright citizenship. The 6-3 opinion came from Justice Amy Coney Barrett. The court's three liberal justices dissented. The court, however, said it was not deciding whether the executive order from Trump was constitutional, rather focusing on whether a single judge has the authority to issue universal injunctions. "Government’s applications for partial stays of the preliminary injunctions are granted, but only to the extent that the injunctions are broader than necessary to provide complete relief to each plaintiff with standing to sue," the opinion read. Federal district court judges just got Nancy Kerrigan'ed. This doesn't stop legal challenges, but district courts cannot wholesale stop executive action on a nationwide scale. mspart R-GFE7-ECS-25-039.docx

The Federal government is already involved via title IX. So they have to right to say this cannot be done. And why does that have to be? Because there are many out there that proclaim that trans women are women and should be able to do and go anywhere all women can do and go. Will it only be important when a major injury happens? No it is important now and needs to be addressed. mspart
