For the most recent Oly Trials, despite being in State College all week Suriano was the last wrestler by far to pick up his credential/athlete packet etc. He didn't show up until 5 minutes before weigh ins and as best as I could tell he took an Uber to the venue in just his singlet and slides, had the Uber wait while he came in, got his credential, weighed in and then went right back out the door to his Uber. Doesn't help answer the question but that's my Suriano story and seemed as good a time as any to share it.

I'm at Cadet Worlds and J'den Cox went to the rules meeting where they emphasized new edge interpretations. I've been to a bunch of these and they often emphasize something at Cadets as a test case. Whether or not that gets widely adopted is another matter. While the charges may not appear that bad, I doubt Lehigh gives him a second chance. Administrators prefer coaches don't get arrested and they are not going to take the risk on a non revenue sport.

Will read the article when I am on my home laptop and logged in but is this in regard to getting the warning after intentionally grounding yourself once and the next being a caution and 1? If so, I think it's a great addition it allows for you to strategically use your grounding while at the same time not allowing people to abuse it.

Pretty sure he had a gap year doing the EAP. He does have a year of eligibility left but he may very well be the oldest wrestler this year so wouldn't be surprised if he has decided to move on.

Truzz- Wohlbert is a monster with the chest wrap stuff, like he is elite there and so if you are going to beat him you are going to have to win those exchanges, which obviously Dean did not. They had a match at PNL 10-10 (KW won as well) but was goofy with one man mechanics and no review. KW was better at Fargo and had a hell of a tournament, hats off to him. We flew home Thursday and Dean was back in the room that night working out with the Larkin boys on his own accord. Wrestling is hard and he embraces everything that comes with it. Appreciate the kind words. Kinda goofy he placed at U20's but not Fargo but it is what is, wrestling is hard all the time....FWIW I think his best wrestling is still very much in front of him.

Truzz- if we are talking Bachman and Fargo, the reason I think he was not there is because he wrestles for PR which I dont think would allow him to compete there. Kind of part of the rules that have come out with country transfers etc. I think if a kid represents another country they are not allowed to wrestle in Fargo. I am pretty sure this is the case now when an athlete transfers to represent another country.

Mixed bag on three competing entities. I think the competition is outstanding and should push one to the top, however I wonder if wrestling is too niche and that they will cannibalize each other a bit especially since media seems to pick one or the other to promote rather than promoting all of them.

there are no weight classes in tennis. there's 10 ish headliners in tennis. you get them, and you got yourself an event. in wrestling you get 10 headliners against bums you still aint got nothing.
