The discussion was regarding deporting illegal aliens. When the question of the constitution came up this is the context and why he responded that if they had to do millions of jury hearings, that would be too expensive. KRISTEN WELKER: Your secretary of state says everyone who’s here, citizens and non-citizens, deserve due process. Do you agree, Mr. President? PRES. DONALD TRUMP: I don’t know. I’m not, I’m not a lawyer. I don’t know. KRISTEN WELKER: Well, the Fifth Amendment says as much. PRES. DONALD TRUMP: I don’t know. It seems — it might say that, but if you’re talking about that, then we’d have to have a million or 2 million or 3 million trials. We have thousands of people that are some murderers and some drug dealers and some of the worst people on Earth. KRISTEN WELKER: But is — PRES. DONALD TRUMP: Some of the worst, most dangerous people on Earth. And I was elected to get them the hell out of here and the courts are holding me from doing it. KRISTEN WELKER: But even given those numbers that you’re talking about, don’t you need to uphold the Constitution of the United States as president? PRES. DONALD TRUMP: I don’t know. I have to respond by saying, again, I have brilliant lawyers that work for me, and they are going to obviously follow what the Supreme Court said. What you said is not what I heard the Supreme Court said. They have a different interpretation. The question was about due process and the constitutional guarantee of due process. Due process does not mean a jury trial in the case of immigration. An immigration judge stating the illegal needs to be deported is due process. It's best to understand things based on context. The context is due process in deporting illegals. The context is not the Constitution which everyone is trying to make this. The next question is why is the press and the left willing to die on the Abrego hill? If he does come back, he will just be deported again. The conditions of his "stay in the US for free card" are not the same as they were in 2019 and he could easily be deported with those details brought before an immigration judge. The man was transporting illegals using his boss's car with no license to drive. And the boss is in jail for transporting illegals. Put 2 and 2 together folks on Abrego. But the questioning that has everyone all jittery was all about the treatment of illegal aliens. You'll notice that no one is talking about the child citizens who were deported anymore. Because it was a non story. Mom was being deported and wanted her children to come with her. Period, end of story. No apologies for not investigating more and figuring that out on their own, the press is completely out of control on their non investigative approach to reporting news. This is very much the case. Take a quote out of context and run with it to show the Pres does not feel he has to follow the Constitution in any case whatsoever. mspart3 points

With regard to supporting wrestlers (former or college ), If Nickal isn't going to support wrestlers doing different ventures, like JB doing commentary for ESPN, then I don't know why he should expect the entire wrestling community to support him in his non wrestling ventures.3 points

KOT should stay at Mizzou. He should be their next coach (as soon as he get a little more seasoning). He's got great name recognition among the HS kids nationally, plus I bet he's a superhero to the kids who are fans of Mizzou.3 points

Aaron actually recently signed with the UFC other than dislocating his shoulder against Jeremey Kennedy he has been on a tear, and I think he has a good shot of winning a belt. He is truly a complete fighter just may have chin issues and sort of got throw to the wolves when he was too green. My gauge on Bo which could probably be completely off base is that he is not pushing himself in training. He spends most of his time in happy valley likely training with the same guys that probably are not as good as him and then does the last few weeks of camp in florida which at that point I doubt they are giving him guys that can beat him so that his confidence is not shot. I know he trains with Johnny eblen which is great but thats a style that is probably fairly comfortable for him and who's to say how hard Eblen goes. As for RDR he held two belts in one for a reason he is very good and had a great gameplan he was constantly moving forward and throwing knees up the middle which probably made Bo apprehensive about lowering his level. The two most concerning things were seeing Bo get stuck underneath and have terrible body language to getting hit. You can be as good as you want but if you can't take getting hit you are not going to make it very far.3 points

My brain is truly dead this morning because I cannot think of anything else to say beyond it's funny that Bo lost and Mineo spent an entire day crashing out on Iowa fans for the sake of someone who probably wouldn't look his way in public.3 points

Biden's initial loan forgiveness plan was deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court for exceeding executive authority without clear congressional backing. Of course he never engaged in a conversation with the media because it wasn’t really him behind the plan.2 points

This got me thinking about the ways that Gary Hall Jr. and I are complete opposites. Hall Jr.'s father and grandfather were world class swimmers, too. I do not every recall seeing my father in a pool, and my grandfather was a coal miner. While he passed before I was born, I just can't imagine him in a pool either. Hall Jr. was a drop dead sprinter. World class at 100m and under. Never saw a 101st meter. I was a distance swimmer's distance swimmer. It took me 500m just to get going. Hall Jr. medaled in three Olympics. I once qualified for a lone Olympic Trials. So, I'm real close on this one. At 218 lbs. Hall Jr. needed 6'6" to carry that weight. Very inefficient. I get within a biscuit of that while only using 5'10".2 points

There is no rationalization. Trump doesn't want to bring him back. He is listening to the attorneys with responsibility here. Again, the question revolved around jury trials for all deportations all illegal aliens and he wasn't sure that was a good or proper idea. That is where he wasn't sure. He said they will follow SCOTUS. Legally, what does facilitate mean? Due process was given Abrego in 2019. The conditions of that are now no longer a deal. So his protective order of release into the country is no longer valid. I really don't see an issue. If he comes back, he will be deported again. mspart2 points

same topic, he's posting videos making a spectacle of all the moisture caught up in his plastics, A) thats incredibly common, I've done it and seem probably a hundred other people in the same situation, B) posting it on social media to get gasps from soccer moms is cringe. Its cringe that I care but I've had to watch this guy relentlessly toot his own tuba for ten years and need to point out he's failing the test you need to pass if you're gonna act like that when things are going well.2 points

lets keep in mind that the other guy was visibly bigger than nickal....so he needs to toughen up or stop coping with tall tails about brutal weight cuts.2 points

Yeah a lot of successful wrestler/grapplers in MMA are very physical. They stay on the gas, pressure, mix in strikes during those exchanges, they're explosive, and they stay in the opponent's face from the beginning. Examples of this would include Khamzat, Khabib, Merab, and Oliveira. Even the wrestler/grapplers who don't pressure as much, like Islam, Evloev, and Aljo Sterling are still really physical in grappling exchanges. Nickal looked to be pretty relaxed, took his time, and just wasn't as physical in those exchanges just like he was in his previous couple fights. de Ridder was on the gas that whole fight whereas Bo seemed to just be reacting, which is exhausting.2 points

Where in the SCOTUS ruling did it say "return to the USA"?? It says help facilitate his release...which I believe he has been...in El Salvador. And yes he is never coming back here...period! It is laughable how people play mental gymnastics to what is clear language to somehow make it seem like the Trump administration is ignoring the SCOTUS ruling. Believe me, I'd be the first to condemn Trump and his administration if they in fact did ignore a SCOTUS ruling as that should never happen. You and the MSN are doing everything in your power to twist the situation and provide shade for an illegal alien who has committed many crimes while here and is a gang member...for what...because you hate the president of the USA...how sad is that?!2 points

Agreed. After watching the fight, Bo just got straight bullied. Wrestling in the MMA context is different than just wrestling (obvious statement, I know) because you can get punched, kicked, and kneed. Bo got whooped here, he can bounce back but it will require some humility in assessing what he needs to shore up.2 points

The unmitigated gall to demand that Iowa fans have to root for Bo Nickal in the UFC, lol. I don't personally care, I only check in on MMA these days when a high level wrestler is going, but Bo spends a lot of time, up into the most recent wrestling season, talking sh!t about the Iowa program. I wasn't rooting for him to lose (or win for that matter) but if a bunch of Iowa fans rooted against him...well he earned that. And apparently he's running a "I'm better than you" heel persona, which has (from my reading of the Tweets last night) not endeared him to the pure MMA fans, either.2 points

Oh nationality doesn't count in exhibitions lmao. What a doofus. The Olympics is a contest among nations. The UFC, and virtually every other professional league, is not. It's common for people to have their favorite fighter be from a different nation. There will be a lot of Americans cheering for Tom Aspinall against Jon Jones if that fight ever happens.2 points

I haven't seen or heard a word from Aaron Pico since he started fighting in Bellator. On the other hand, I can't get away from seeing Bo Nickal content. I am not going to root for an arrogant prick just because he comes from the same sport I like. He's a clown and maybe he'll be more tolerable now that he can't pretend like he'd beat anyone in the world if given the chance. The UFC has coddled him and selected opponents to help him build his reputation and anticipation of his future match-ups, and he got booed in his last fight for being so boring, and then just got embarrassed in this fight.2 points

Can you imagine anything more ridiculous than a court telling the President he should allow an illegal alien who has an order of removal to be facilitated to re-enter the country so he can be deported, again?1 point

No, he’s saying that he knows right from wrong; that he’s trying to do what’s right and he relies on his lawyers to determine constitutionality, but while judges don’t agree on what’s constitutional, he can’t say for sure. TDS has you making way more of this than is there.1 point

Oh. I misread. I thought he was posting the qualifiers with weights. Not actual listed entries. My bad.1 point

Actually, yes. They would be cheering for the PSU/NLWC dude over the American. As someone that has been to world's a few times, many USA "fans" go for their college team reps and not the USA rep. That's not to say they don't root for USA, but if it's USA vs Iowa or USA vs PSU, they would root for their team the majority of the time.1 point

I think as long as he's following the rules and isn't protesting anything, he is probably going to be ok? I know we're trying to steer away from politics but I just have to point out the absolute absurdity of this comment- "following the rules and isn't protecting..." is an unbelievable thing to say from someone that I assume is proud to be an American and would seemingly be a person in a crowd chanting "U-S-A, U-S-A! The right to free speech and ability to protest is one of the most quintessential American things to do. The fact this comment was so casually stated is frighteningly disappointing and disturbing. The unconscious brainwashing has really taken its toll to the point someone would claim protesting is not following the rules when it is a citizens constitutional right to do so.1 point

I'm going out on a limb, but I bet it's related to US government regulations somehow. They are actively deporting foreign students like crazy right now, for example, regardless of the status of their visas, passports, etc. To be honest I'm shocked that Ono would want to come to the USA right now, if I was a foreigner I'd be steering well clear of the USA.1 point
