  1. I've always thought MM would need to clean up his game as he got to the highest levels. His high rate of attack and constant movement helps him get away with a lot of out of position wrestling. As he enters the senior level his high stance and hand placement will be exploited unless he tightens up.

  2. Why is it a woman’s right to get an abortion, but not her right to do drugs while pregnant?

  3. Damn. I guess I won't be selling him one of these.

  4. Yep. He wrestles like a madman, nonstop the whole match, which overwhelms most opponents pretty quickly. But he is very sloppy, and that won't transition well at the senior level. I would expect him to improve on the in the next few years, though.

  5. What a joke. They are only 4 years late on their investigation. Had these types of investigations taken place 4 years ago there might have been a different outcome. You have paid canvassers that make money ( 10 dollar incentive) on every registry form they turn in. What could possibly go wrong? If you are trying to make money and you can get 10 dollars per registration you can make some good money. Let's say you get 50 legitimate ones and 50 fake ones that's 1000 tax free dollars. That's not a bad weeks pay. What could possibly go wrong? Did this happen in the 2020 election? Great question. You might call it the Sergeant Schultz syndrome. I see nothing, I hear nothing, I know nothing.

That and the twinkle toes dude that’s supposed to get the Midwest manly male vote. That’s another good idea lol. Shotgun loading much and jazz hands….. tends to work with bears and packers and Vikings fans lol. That one guy with the 50 alt handles on here must be crying in his parents basement right now. i expect better memes this time if kamamalalal the kackler loses.

  13. The factual comment highlights inconsistencies in how society prioritizes the protection of children. If protecting child lives is a strong reason for gun control, then the high number of abortions logically deserve greater focus. FACTS Guttmacher.org research indicates 9 STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA DO NOT RESTRICT ABORTION BASED ON GESTATIONAL DURATION. While its rare (~1%) to have later abortions, it is legal and does occur annually (~10K instances) for mostly the same reasons as the first trimester (e.g. elective) per this fact check by the Washington Post (see also: congressional research). Most women seeking later abortion fit at least one of five profiles: They were raising children alone They were depressed or using illicit substances They were in conflict with a male partner or experiencing domestic violence They had trouble deciding and then had access problems (location and finance) They were young and nulliparous. Florida and Utah provide women’s reasons for having an abortion by gestational time periods in their annual state abortion reports. The table below (source) for Utah in 2021 shows that 56% (9 out of 16) reported reasons for abortions past 21 weeks are for economic reasons (e.g. elective). Note that ** means 5 or fewer in the chart. Florida doesn’t separate abortion reasons specifically for cases over ~20 weeks; instead, it groups the entire second trimester (13-26 weeks) with the following breakdown: Elective: 85% Baby’s health: 10% Mother, non-life-threatening issues (physical/emotional): 4.2% Mother’s physical life at risk: 0.4% Rape/incest: 0.4% Doctors like Warren Hern, described by The Atlantic as an “abortion absolutist,” hold strong views on abortion. According to Hern: A fetus remains a fetus until it is “born alive.” In Hern’s view, a woman’s life, humanity, and wishes outweigh the fetus’s, often to the point of being the only consideration. Hern once shared that a patient sought an abortion solely because she didn’t want a girl; he did not refuse her request. When asked what he would do if a healthy woman sought an abortion at 30 weeks, Hern’s response underscored his stance: “Every pregnancy is a health issue. There’s a certifiable risk of death from being pregnant, period.”

  22. I thought about getting a doctorate in engineering, but decided I didn't want to do research the rest of my life. So I didn't. I did a Master's and did that research and gathered data and it was fun. Then I met my wife. Good decision I say. Married 36 years now. Getting a PHD is a huge effort, WR is correct there. The guy I did my Masters with (he was on another project) later got his Phd and taught in Mississippi at U of M or M ST. I can't remember now. mspart

  23. It's a budget shortfall problem for the most part. CU was budgeting for enrollment growth, instead they have had enrollment declines for the past few years. A lot of capital expenditures for new buildings expecting growth that did not happen. It has been said the goal is to SOMEDAY more fully fund wrestling, but that is not possible at this time. A group of passionate people are working hard to raise funds to keep Campbell competitive at rollhumps.org. Donating and spreading the word is all that can be done for now. Campbell will have everyone wrestling this year as these cuts do not take effect until the 25-26 season. Roll Humps!

  26. As you know we live in the same area and I have two neighbors with "Harris Walz Obviously" signs. Is that not about the dumbest sign they could come up with? Half tempted to ask them what exactly is so obvious but they are both newer to the neighborhood. Ironically one is from Minneapolis so they know exactly the horseshit that Walz is about but still think they need to publicly announce their candidate.

  28. Apparently, 80% of the electorate want voter ID and citizenship requirements on registering to vote: https://jonathanturley.org/2024/10/25/gallop-80-percent-of-americans-support-voter-id-and-proof-of-citizenship-laws/. This week, I wrote about polls that show the public is not buying the apocalyptic predictions of the imminent death of democracy unless Kamala Harris is elected president. Now, a new poll shatters another main talking point of pundits and the press. Democratic candidates, including Vice President Harris, have denounced voter identification laws as “Jim Crow 2.0” attacks on voters. A majority of voters have long supported these laws. According to a new Gallup poll, that majority is now a supermajority. Despite unrelenting attacks on these laws in the media, eight in ten Americans now support both laws: With less than two weeks to go in the presidential campaign and voting already underway in many states, 76% of U.S. adults favor the concept of early voting. Two other election law policies are supported by even more Americans — requiring photo identification to vote (84%) and providing proof of citizenship when registering to vote for the first time (83%). … Majorities of Americans favor a range of election law policies that expand voters’ access to the ballot box, including early voting, automatic voter registration, and sending absentee ballot applications to all eligible voters. They also broadly support measures to limit fraud and ensure election integrity, including requiring photo identification to vote and providing proof of citizenship when first registering to vote. There are few major political issues today that could show this type of overwhelming support, including from Democrats. Yet, both the Democratic politicians and pundits continue to denounce these laws. Indeed, the campaign against Georgia resulted in their losing the All-Star Game and its economic benefits. Yet, under these laws, Georgia is setting records in the turnout of voters. In the meantime, the Biden Administration is continuing to oppose and legally challenge efforts of states like Virginia to remove alleged non-citizens from their voting rolls. mspart

  29. Takedown - and escape. Score is 3-1 Takedown - reversal and escape - score is 4-2 Both situations end up with both on feet. 2 pt differential. I can see the OP’s point. Or wrestler B starts on bottom. - Reversal then escape … net 1 pt improvement - Simply just escape … net 1 pt improvement Again, can see OP’s point. I’d suggest the reversal deserves more reward.

  30. The bottom wrestler did not achieve a takedown. The people who make the rules are looking to emphasize takedowns.

  35. Eh. You’re only half wrong. Zahid is going to be in far better shape just being in the OSU room/wrestling DT because he’ll actually have guys better than him in the room. ultimately it will come down to lifestyle. Because the dude never tired in high school - and his dad was pretty damn strict. le what? please tell me a match Zahid had EVER lost due to handfighting, engaging and/or wrestling through positions. all of his losses are between the ears or in his lungs. Or he was just outclassed (DT)

  37. If you’re trolling, you’re doing an excellent job. If you hold Zeke accountable for the first handful of years, I don’t know what to tell you. He is far from perfect, but downplaying a non traditional power that’s finished in the top 10 five out of the last six tournaments is the elitist bullshit that holds this sport back.

  38. Do away with leg laces and trapped arm guts. They're match-ending and boring. Exposure points are only awarded if control is shown. Instead of standing them up after 10 seconds give the top man a minute or two to do his stuff. If the bottom wrestler gets away reward him with points. There's more improvements but these are a good start.

  40. I thought the first takedown should be the only one worth 3, or a reversal should be 3 or 4 since it's harder to get than a takedown.
