And to clown things up even further, the IBA announced they are giving the Italian boxer a bonus of $50k. So you get nothing for winning, $50k for quitting. They must owe me $100k for not even trying.3 points

For the guy telling people to kill themselves - lead by example and jump first we promise we ll follow you also the women in question was born with both sets of genitals(outside woman , inside man) and both set of chromosomes, she is female by definition (of Algeria standards atleast ) but has male organs internally that produce way higher levels of testosterone then the average female ..i personally don’t have an issue with her being a called a woman but if the extra testosterone is giving her an advantage then it’s pretty obvious she shouldn’t be in the Olympics , this may not be fair to the Algerian who worked hard to get here but that’s just life also agree with the poster who mentioned how members of society are paid to sow division in any opportunities that present themselves and they ve been working overtime with this situation now back to that punk ass bitch calling people hitler , sir you need help , please talk to a psychiatrist or a religious figure bc you have some real serious things going on in your head .. you should reflect on the fact you have extreme hatred and wish death on strangers and people you ve never met .. that’s honestly more hate and anger then any run of the mill “racist” or “bigot” even has2 points

Rivera and Sacultan are the 2 seeded guys there, with 2 to be drawn in, realistically they have no real chance of placing (I know Rivera upset Tevanyan before with a miracle but lets not forget they wrestled again) but man..... Whoever gets drawn into that quarter, talk about a gift. If its a top guy (Zain, Kiyooka, Akmataliev, heck even Tobier-Valdes) only having to pull off one "Difficult" win to be an Olympic Finalist... Nice. Hopefully it's Zain and he gets the winner of Gomez/Rivera second match. Wrestling for Bronze from there would be no cakewalk against Ochir/Tevanyan or random top notch draw-in but still. Drawing into the top half at all is a real gift. Sometimes I dislike that it's not more realistically seeded, but I do like the idea of encouraging athletes to be more active at ranking series events. Wish brackets were out already.2 points
-
It was not a miracle or a decking. Rivera wrestled a whole match. Tevanyan let up and just let himself get repeatedly get punched in the mouth. Keep in mind Rivera's run was insane and he has victories and competitive matches against a slew of gents with high level senior results. The American gents seem to always steamroll him, though.2 points

Hmmm...how do I put this.... I'm not an advocate for Ferrari by any means.... but you have a team that self funds, few scholarships, low attendance and literally hanging on by a thread. Dare I say, could this be a shot in the arm for this program? I mean, it's not like they have major companies pulling their sponsorship if it turns into a circus. Whether you like or not, people are going to tune in to Bakersfield.2 points

I’m guessing everyone that says Bo Bassett is just a kid building his social media and isn’t narcissistic- you old folk just don’t understand. These young people are embracing social media, leave them alone old person!2 points

What did I say that was factually wrong? You don't say. You just say I am scared. I am scared because I typed out facts? So telling truth is now being scared? That's just crazy. No matter how hard a person that has XY chromosomes wants to, that person just can't get pregnant. Is that me wanting people not to be people? Telling the scientific truth is no longer acceptable apparently. What a ridiculous world this is when that is the case. mspart2 points

I like Abakarov, I really like that he's on Micic's side. That is all. Lee is a landmine, the top 10 can all upset each other in any given match. It's anyone's guess.2 points

Came across this: https://www.mmafighting.com/2024/8/1/24210841/olympic-gold-medalist-david-taylor-explains-decision-retire-competition-after-missing-out-2024-games From the article: “I’ve always said I would compete as long as I had the fire,” Taylor told MMA Fighting. “This year, that fire started to just kind of go away. I’ve achieved everything I wanted to achieve in my career. You start off and you want to be a good wrestler, then you set your goals — and I had the highest goal of being an Olympic gold medalist. Being a national champion, being a world champion, being an Olympic gold medalist, it’s hard to continue to recreate that fire every single year. I was 33 years old. I had achieved everything I wanted to achieve. I got a young family, so this year was a challenge to find that fire everyday.”2 points

Lol. Let's remember that there are groups dedicated to sowing social discord in the American population by creating and promoting divisive content that may or may not be based in any kind of truth. It's literally their job to push our buttons and make us argue, y'all. There's questionable validity to this story and as such there's no reason to get worked up about it.2 points

Can you describe Kamala’s platform she is running on? Give me her top 3 policy ideas.1 point
-
false. the reason you think that's the #1 'attack' is bc the msm talks about it incessantly. and it's not really about her race; it's about the grift - changing identity according to the audience. Biden did the same every time he said he 'was raised around (insert minority group)'. the bottom line is this: Kamala can't articulate a sentence. you're stanning for someone who doesn't even have a policy platform. tell me, what's her platform? tell me.1 point

Which brings up a good point. Were there any Secret Service agents on that jet? If not, for 2 minutes the POTUS had wondered onto an unknown aircraft with no protection while the agents and VP just watched? This must be a cheap fake cause that'd never happen in this day and age. It'd be like allowing a shooter to wonder around on a roof top with a clear view 150 yd away from a protected subject.1 point

A left leaning tech company. But whoever used the term hallucinations is the correct term. Some large language models try to guard against it… some don’t. There are a gagillion of them now so it’s hard to keep up with which one hallucinates a lot vs not.1 point

Here father has a PhD in economics and was a professor at Stanford now emeritus, what do you think he feels like watching that? But as said in another thread inflation and prices go up just like stairs to a plane and if we can make them go up high enough then the can come back down just like we saw in the markets last two days. Also as said by the great @mspart we should be "unburdened by what has been."1 point

C'mon Off, this is a cheap fake. Kamala explained it: stairs go up and down, the President went up the stairs and he later came back down the stairs, he went up the stairs to accend to higher spot and came back down the stairs to decend to a lower spot. While going up the stairs he did not fall and while going down the stairs he did not fall. Stairs help one go up and down without falling. Consider stairs like the President's inflation policy, he made inflation go up so he could bring inflation down. It is understandable that that some might misunderstood why he went up and down the stairs but still it has been and we should be unburdened by what has been. The President had a shorter explanation: Corn Pop was flying the jet with Mouse as his co-pilot.1 point

Like the normal and united we have under Biden? Perhaps we need something else. Regarding Trump, I agree, and said, Trump initiates the chaos. But the media and the Ds fan those flames into wildfires. They take much out of context and proportion and fan those flames. But the fact that the policies during Trump were way better for the country than Biden's policies is evident to anyone looking at it objectively. This seems to elude you. mspart1 point

Fair point. People, especially young people, often are woefully ignorant of the responsibilities that come with adulthood. That includes being a parent. Its a difficult needle to thread trying to get children ready for a cruel and unforgiving world and still allowing them to remain 'children' for as long as possible. The wording of the second sentence is curious. Do you mean start a pregnancy or end one? Because either way, could be the case and there are discussions to be had for why to start or why to end. Everyone has their own reasons for either/both. Neglected and abused children are protected by the state and alternative arrangements are found if necessary. Plenty of problems with that system. Topic for other discussions, who is fit to foster or adopt. Some states have pretty bigoted ideas on that topic. Divorce is up to the parents. Why ask these questions? What is your point? Certification and licensing to have a child? That's pretty bleak. Can we try education first?1 point

DEI hires are meant to increase diversity with a focus on race, gender, sexual orientation, and underrepresented groups. Pence is a white, cis, straight man that belongs to a well represented group. DEI was not it. Find a video or article where Trump said he would select a White Man for VP.1 point

Condalezza Rice would be better than Kamala, Hillary, or Michelle. And no one could accuse her of being a DEI hire. She's as smart and capable as they come. And she proves that by staying out of the public debate. I would not say Kamala is a DEI hire. But she was chosen because she is a WOMAN of COLOR. That is why she was chosen. Her campaign failed miserably in 2020 so you cannot say she was chosen on her merits. Biden wanted a woman of color and he chose a woman of color as inept as she is. mspart1 point

Kamala was not elected by the people to the VP or to the Presidential nominee position, rather she was chosen by elites based on her identity as a multiracial woman. No matter how qualified (or non qualified) Kamala might be, Biden was clear with his decision to select a colored and/or woman VP. "I commit that I will in fact will pick a woman to be Vice President" https://www.politico.com/news/2020/03/15/biden-woman-vice-president-131309 “Whomever I pick, preferably it will be someone who was of color and/or a different gender" https://edition.cnn.com/2019/08/28/politics/joe-biden-potential-vp-pick/index.html He also reflected on what her VP nomination meant for “little Black and brown girls who so often feel overlooked and undervalued in their communities.” He makes no mention of selecting the best candidate based on strength of one's ability, character, ...merit. Kamala did extremely poor in 2020, as stated by her helpers that if she can't run a campaign, she can't run a country. She didn't win a single delegate... https://web.archive.org/web/20191129104131/https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/29/us/politics/kamala-harris-2020.html1 point

Yes, that is one way to interpret this. 1. Do you support ensuring everyone has the same outcomes? (Kamala does) This vides explains how we should treat people as unequal so they get the same outcomes 2. Do you support making all illegal aliens as American citizens? (Kamala does) Kamala supports an eight-year path to citizenship for the ~11 million people living in the U.S. without legal status. 3. Do you support elections that includes non citizen voting? (Kamala does) Isidewith.com says "yes" for Kamala. Looking into the reference, the quote does not directly support that her answer is yes. This raises doubt to how isidewith picks answers. It is possible that additional thought is from an inferrment of being anti Voter ID, pro immigration rights, along with the general Democrat responses of 'yes.' https://www.isidewith.com/candidates/kamala-harris/policies/electoral/right-of-foreigners-to-vote 4. Do you support freedom to choose abortion for the entire duration of the pregnancy? (Kamala does) She refuses to answer the question about viability. She does not support bills that define viability. https://justfacts.votesmart.org/candidate/key-votes/120012/kamala-harris/2/abortion For example, Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/3275 Other Democrats like RFK JR have been more clear with their late term support. Has done some backtracking but here it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofgEsYMapcA&t=226s 5. Do you support defunding police? (Kamala does) 6. Do you support foreign interference in other's affairs -- war, etc.? (Kamala does) "The United States will support Ukraine for as long as it takes." "Given the immense scale of suffering in Gaza, there must be an immediate cease-fire for at least the next six weeks." RFK JR on Kamala's track record. 7. Do you support higher taxes to increase subsidies for loan forgiveness and higher benefit payout for illegal aliens and citizens? (Kamala does) https://www.forbes.com/sites/adamminsky/2024/07/25/kamala-harris-touts-student-loan-forgiveness-for-5-million-borrowers-warns-of-threats-to-programs/ https://taxfoundation.org/blog/kamala-harris-tax-proposals-2024/ 8. Do you support teaching critical race theory in schools? (Kamala does) https://apnews.com/article/kamala-harris-florida-desantis-education-9ccbeac59d1f8289e1d8c9bccbff85a9 9. Do you support censoring speech? (Kamala does) Isidewith did not have a reference for Kamala and defaulted to her voters primary answer "No, freedom of speech laws should only protect you from criticizing the government." She has made statements that support censorship. 10. Do you support banning guns? (Kamala does) 11. Do you support biological males beating up females in boxing? (Kamala does) isidewith shows that Kamala supporters believe transgender athletes should be allowed to compete against athletes that differ from their assigned sex at birth. This is how isidewith marked Kamala as a 'yes.' In follow up research, Kalama is 100% for rainbow rights (no issue, people have rights)... but cannot find an direct statement for or against supporting XYs competing against XX in sports.1 point

I am concerned for non P5 wrestling. They will not increase the number of schollys, in fact, they may lose some. As it stands now schools can give wrestling 9.9 schollys with a 40-50 man roster. Meaning 30-40 non Scholly wrestlers, bringing in more students to the school. Limit the roster to 30 it cuts tuition collected by the schools making wrestling less attractive. Football increases by 20 schollys, baseball increases dramatically, and must be made up by other men's sports losing schollys. I feel like P5 schools will put a lot more distance between them and non P5 schools. Yeah, the big dogs will benefit, but at what cost? Who will they wrestle? They are currently well ahead of most all the others and it could become much more distance between them and the have nots. Why would they want to compete against programs their 3rd string could crush? What would be the benefit? Why bother with a weighin when the comp could not touch them with a ten foot pole?1 point
