  2. https://www.declassified.live/p/judge-cannon-puts-jack-smith-on-trial?utm_source=profile&utm_medium=reader2 A few excerpts. I highly recommend reading this. In officially vacating the existing May 20 trial date—an impossibility considering the defendant will be in a Manhattan courtroom for the foreseeable future—Cannon declined to set another date, calling it “imprudent” at this stage of the process. She noted a “myriad” of unresolved matters in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s 42-count indictment against the former president and his two co-defendants, Mar-a-Lago employees Waltine Nauta and Carlos De Olivera, for willfully retaining national defense information and attempting to impede the government’s investigation. Cannon, however, did schedule a number of proceedings that could be considered a way to put the Department of Justice on trial. In a stunning turn of events, Cannon, appointed by Donald Trump in 2020, is poised to make Smith a defendant of sorts. Over the next several weeks, prosecutors will be forced to publicly counter defense motions that accuse the DOJ of selective and vindictive prosecution; insist the appointment of Smith is illegal; and claim that several parties, including Joe Biden’s White House, colluded behind the scenes as early as May 2021 to concoct the unprecedented case. ...In other words, the government officials prosecuting Trump with mishandling top-secret files--mishandled top-secret files. Finally someone, the judge in this case, is taking seriously the weaponization of the DOJ in this effort. I have never heard this before and like I said above, this is very interesting reading and I highly recommend people read up on this. The defense has uncovered things that the judge wants clarified by DOJ. DOJ will have a very hard time justifying what it has done in targeting Trump in this case. They may be successful but it is an uphill battle. No wonder Jack Smith, the special prosecutor, wanted to rush this to court. In my opinion, he knows he has a very weak case based on the defense findings and didn't want that to come out. It looks like at the very least, the judge is interested in getting all of this out in the open, even if the news media and D's don't want it to and don't want to acknowledge this is happening. https://reason.com/volokh/2024/05/11/judge-aileen-cannon-is-a-heroine/ https://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/whats-holding-up-trumps-florida-case These are two articles that seems to say similar things as the above. So not wholly unsubstantiated. mspart

  4. The folks would be killed in Saudi, Iran, Afghanistand, and most certainly in Palestine for their views on sexuality, gender fluidity, and marxist views. They don't realize it. These are college educated (doesn't mean much anymore does it?) adults that have no idea about the world around them. They are oblivious to the reality that they live and the fact it would not be tolerated in Muslim countries. Fools and idiots indeed. mspart

  5. Polls are done by asking real people their opinion. Ballots are a different thing. Biden's ballots are going to be up in those battleground states. Biden's ballots will show he is a more popular democrat than Barack Obama. By A LOT because that is how many ballots it will take to beat Trump. All the polls are doing is showing the DNC how many ballots they will need to generate.

  10. Minnow maybe deals too much into rumors and is wrong as often as he is right, but I also appreciate his presence in the sport. If he hadn't broke the story I wonder if we would have ever heard about it. It might come up years later like when Chael mentioned Kurt Angle's HGH test, which I'm not sure if is true or nonsense. I get the feeling if the Flo crew had caught the same information as Minnow and even confirmed it with a source at PSU and/or the Brooks family if they would have not run the story. CP clearly did not want to discuss it when Sonnen roped him into it and I suspect they'd kill the story at the request of PSU/Brooks. Flo is 50% news outlet 50% PR at times.

  12. The House just passed a bill to detain and deport illegal aliens who assault police officers. Why did the House not pass a bill to detain and deport illegal aliens who assault humans? With a rider to detain and deport illegal aliens who are aliens here illegally? Why do police officers get special protections? They are armed anyway. Maybe this is a way to chip away at the problem: Pass laws incrementally to detain and deport illegal aliens who commit violence against protected groups (i.e. women, lesbians, gays, blacks, asians, hispanics, indians, non-christians, transes, furries, children, leftists, democrats, elderly, etc.) in addition to police officers. Then the only people illegal aliens can assault with impunity becomes straight, white, adult, conservative, males which account for about 20% of our population. Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and all of its close relative acts: [VALA, VAGA, VABA, VAAA, VAHA, VANCA, VATA, VAFA, VACA, VALeA, VADA, VAEA, and the VAPA (Violence against Police Act)] I think could all pass with a hate crime rider on them. VASWACMA (Violence against Straight, White, Adult, Conservative, Males Act) will, of course, fail.

  16. He's getting healthier! Less College Wrestling, less torque on the knees(still a bit, but less). I don't see why he wouldn't have a shot at not just one, two, but possibly THREE cycles. He's 25. 4 years, 29, his 2nd cycle, and 33...he could make a run for 3 Olympics. He doesn't have to wrestle as often, less knee injuries hopefully. I think his career may just be starting. He's so good when he's healthy and he can move. He's not the slickest, but he's a legit 57, he has preternatural strength with his turns...like starting a Kia. His "weakness," is on his feet and his gas tank(which has been filling up as his knee's been getting healthy). I think he wants to do unique things after the way his Prep and Collegiate careers ended.

  28. Those Hamas people break all the rules of war that the pro hamas and pro Palestinian naysayers demand Israel follow. What a crock. Israel is a country so must abide. Hamas is not a country, Gaza is not a country, and those Palestinians have no country, so they don't need to abide. Hamas takes no responsibility for the Gazans. They use them as shields, kill them when they try to get the food aid being sent, and demand the UN take care of them. Hamas needs to go away and Israel is intent on seeing that happen. mspart

  33. Na just done with the grind of competing ,he even mentioned his senior yr of college he might not wrestle freestyle at all and just jump into coaching as that’s his long term goal , I think it was more others pushing him to keep competing for a few years and he gave it a cycle and now it’s time to move on to admin stuff

  38. Heart condition or no, does anyone seriously think there is any chance that Steveson is ever going to play a down in a regular season NFL game? This is all part of the show -- not his strong suit. His strong suit is in being the best heavyweight wrestler on the planet, a true, can't-take-your-eyes-off-him, force of nature on a wrestling mat. All that's left is for him to decide if that's what he wants to do. If not, then he can go be mediocre at best at whatever else he wants to try next. Everything else is just noise, noise that not as many are as interested in as there used to be.

  39. He may not be a HC, but he is the poster boy for what a full lifecycle at PSU/NLWC can look like, he is the OG core of Cael’s brand. He’s one of maybe 5 people who know the process front to back. The only one who is more vintage Cael brand is Varner.
