  1. I think these protests are supported by the FAR FAR left. That is a subset of the those that say they are democrats and who usually vote democrat. But most I's, middle of the road Ds, and Rs, are repulsed by these and do not have their support. Especially when these feckless protest warriors complain that Columbia is not feeding them. The camping is illegal. The taking over of buildings is illegal. The destruction of property is illegal. Yet these law breakers want their vegan meals and non lactose milk. There are not many in the public that support these snowflakes. These warriors are all about their cause until they get a little hungry. They are so weak and they project that. Supposedly, these are university students, but they are completely stupid and don't understand how to advocate for their cause. How they got accepted to these schools is undecipherable. They are idiots, don't know history, and don't want to know history. They completely reject that Hamas did anything wrong in raping, burning, and taking hostages. They reject that this even happened. I believe they have support from a small minority of US citizens. It will not play well for Ds that support this in Congress etc. That's my prediction. mspart

  2. I’ll take a shot at NDSU 125 Ryan Henningson, last years starter, non-qualifier 133 Michael Olson, true freshman from MN 141 Gavin Drexler, returning starter 149 Max Petersen, returning starter 157 Kellyn March, (NDSU could benefit a lot bumping up here) 165 Landon Johnson, returning starter 157 174 Brendan Howes, returning starter OR true freshman Magayna 184 Adam Cherne, returning starter 197 ??? Macray Klohs redshirt freshman maybe? 285 Northern Colorado transfer All things considered, most of their starters return. They can be okay at 141-174 if things go right and guys develop. VERY young team last year. Obviously losing Sax was a huge blow. I think Olson at 133 is promising but won’t be an impact guy right out of the gate, same with Magayna. If they can redshirt, they should. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. As would expect...this all sounds good...in theory...but you painting a picture of what the protesting should be and what the people are saying is NOT what is happening everywhere. You can blame the media (that you support when it fits your need/rhetoric) but as people have said, setting up encampments is NOT peaceful protest, blocking access to anything is NOT peaceful protest, causing damage is NOT peaceful protest, taking over buildings is NOT peaceful protest, handing out anti-American and ant-Israel material is NOT peaceful protest, etc. And you saying "most people involved will strongly decry the murder of civilians on 10/7" doesn't make it true...that is NOT what most people are chanting and saying at these "peaceful protests". I have to believe if you and "most people" at these protests were strongly against the "bad opinions" (nice try trying to downplay someone calling for death to America and Israel), you and your "protesters" wouldn't allow them to chant right next to you, destroy property, take over buildings, etc. So keep on with the lies and get back to your tent otherwise you won't get your free kale sandwich.

  4. Ok, I have been fairly strong on here saying term limits would take an amendment to the Constitution. But my opinion on the subject is that I agree with term limits for Senators and Reps. I don't know what that would be, but I think for them to be in there as a career is wrong. mspart

  8. Did I say you said that? I'm not familiar with the details just read the big picture view. How did they prey on teens, did they use their private emails to overwhelm them with deals and offers? IMO many of the soft degrees (art, English, liesure studies, etc., look at what many athletes major in) at major public Us could be considered fraud given the cost versus potential employment/income stream. Again did they learn more or less than the average student, where were the parents, what about the high school guidance counselors?

  10. The book "The Trials" by James Moffatt quotes Mike Farlina who beat Weaver for the FS spot. He also won the GR spot and was a senior in HS at the time. He said he lost to Bill Rosado (who was the favorite) by a 9-8 score in the 1st round. Weaver pinned Rosado in like 20 seconds. He wrestled Weaver in the final round and won 13-7 to take the spot. After the trials he went back to finish his senior year at York HS in Elmhurst Ill. He only won his State once as a senior in 1976. The book is great for any wrestling fan - full of info about all the Olympic trials from 1960 to 1988

  13. Agreed. Many of those protesting on campuses are not students. That is proven. So who are they. Pro agitators? I don't know but they should be prosecuted for being on campus illegally in my opinion. You will notice that those encampments that are illegal and were dispersed by police have not grown. Those that were allowed to stay have gone much further in taking over buildings and destroying university property. You get more of what you tolerate. mspart

  22. Even if that’s the case I still would think Cam would just go 174 next year since Michigan doesn’t really have a clear starter there. A lot of ppl were already penciling him in at that weight.

  25. Presumably he'd have to do some amount of work to earn it, so it could be viewed as him declining to do the job for half the pay. Or if he waited until the second semester of his junior year to do the job he would get 2x the money. I think the excellent aid packages at the Ivy's had been a selling point for many student athletes. It guarantees any potential athlete an affordable education and presumably a high value one. Now if a potential athlete of modest means has an athletic scholarship offer at a non-Ivy and is weighing that against a generous aid package at Cornell that meets 100% of his need via grants it might not be as close. In the past the decision might have came down to free school at a non-Ivy school vs nearly free school at Cornell. Now that NIL earnings are a thing at the scholarship school the student athlete can keep 100% of his after tax NIL income, meanwhile at Cornell he would be sending half of the first $130-$180k or so in earnings back to the school.

  26. Starocci rarely dominates high level competitors, but he never loses to them (aside from Kemerer his freshman year). He beat Shane Griffith (same Shane Griffith that lost to both KOT and DC by 1 point in back-to-back NCAA tournaments) 2-0 and was never in danger of getting scored on. He also beat Mekhi Lewis (National Champ; 2x finalist) by 4-0 and nearly by tech (again, never in danger of getting scored on in either match). To think KOT would come up a weight class and beat him would be naive. I'm not say it would be domination. But Starocci is the clear pick there.

  27. Thanks for this @uncle bernard. On #2 - can you clarify? Anti Zionism is the core but a two state solution is ok? Also, ‘from the river to the sea’ is clearly about the state of Israel not existing. It seems you are trying to push a different meaning. Are you? For #3 - fair answer. It does seem that there is evidence of a fair number of protestors supporting Hamas. Glad to hear you feel that the large large majority do not.

  30. Larkin was so much taller/skinnier than his opponents at OTTs, hard to believe he can make 141 consistently. It's only the eye test admittedly, but I'd expect him at 149.

  31. Pretty accurate. Keep in mind that nearly half the arrested had no connection to the schools. There is an element of the protesters who are not working for America’s interest.

  37. No group think here... Everyone has independently thought a wrestling room is terrible if it doesn't have natural light and the same facility would be better if it had windows. Always the number one thing you hear when talking about a facility, "whats the window situation" Thank goodness Cael, JB, John Smith, etc. all lifted and trained in naturally lit buildings that led to their gold medals success....

  38. Facundo is absolutely an AA threat and possibly a title threat. If memory serves, He was the #1 recruit in 2021. He had a dismal post season in 2023, but he was right there with the best. On any other team he would be a marqee guy.

  40. I see lots of posters are drinking tonight. Carr did not dominate Mesenbrink. He won 9-8 and would likely have lost if MM knew the score or the match continued. MM teched Monday, which was something Nolf came nowhere to doing. Monday is also probably better at freestyle than Carr, who only beat MM on a riding point in, yes, folkstyle. Mesenbrink is a U 20 World champ and also a U20 silver medalist. Better credentials than Nolf at that age. But let me be clear: I'm not saying MM is better than Nolf right now.. He's about 7 years younger. Get off the juice. I bet you have a hangover in the morning. Alluseeistheroomspinning
