Just listened to his Bader show interview, he addressed several things that have been brought up here or other things that I thought were interesting: 1. Said Ramos was one of the first people to call him when Coleman Scott said he was leaving. So maybe he won’t be too upset about not getting the job… 2. Commented on the high cost of living in Palo Alto. The Stanford housing discount or whatever is only available to faculty, and is still expensive. Called out people online thinking they know everything, maybe he reads here? Said he lived in a 1,000 square foot townhouse. Later mentioned the RTC paid $175K per year for housing for the coaches 3. Sounds like he plans to bring some of the Stanford coaches to UNC, but also mentioned he seemed to recommend Enock Francois to be the HC at Stanford 4. Said harder to get kids admitted to Stanford than Cornell. Thinks UNC is best of all worlds in terms of being a good academic school but still being favorable to getting athletes accepted 5. Nope. You have to have 16 teams to stay at the D1 FBS level. Oregon state has 16. They cannot drop a sport. They have a large endowment and the university is very supportive of the program. It’s not going anywhere. if a team drops it will be Bakersfield which would be terrible.2 points

I don't think KMF ever made it here. Tbar was here briefly after the old board ended, but hasn't been around for awhile.1 point

I was raised Lutheran as well. I believe that all of these denominations still believe in salvation they just have different ways in which they think they will be saved. Some think you need to repent and be baptized for the remission of sins (baptist), some believe that it is all predetermined (reformed and assembly of his type churches) while others believe a mixture of things.1 point

Sure but there's a chance as some of their fans are consuming more than their fair share of the ice-cream. If the Creamery starts running short of ice-cream put your money on Iowa or an OSU.1 point

My dad, my daughter, and my money all went to Villanova. I made Jay Wright laugh with that one. I can die a happy man.1 point

Iowa could get the best non-PSU wrestler to transfer in at every weight and still might lose to Penn State1 point

Does Oregan St need a 174, this would be a good spot, where is @potato?1 point

Didn't you say you were a researcher Ban?? Yet, you make this wild claim about Iowa and their guns yet clearly didn't do any sort of research to back it up. But keep on keeping on. Here's a hint...Iowa is way down the latter in terms of gun deaths...and of those that die from guns, over 3/4 of those deaths are from suicide. Sure sounds like the wild wild west to me.1 point

I like Hoffman. I also want the Geog era to start. It makes me wish Hoffman would Grad transfer on out, were he eligible.1 point

He has a "do not contact" designation in the portal, so seems like he has already made up his mind where he is going. Iowa does seem logical. And an 80% transfer starting lineup would be wild. Even more wild is it still may not be enough to crack the podium. This post is brought to you by DraftKings.1 point

The original poster is purely speculating lol. He’d be a good target for most teams. What are we doing here? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Everyone here must hate Basketball to some degree. For me it's when I miss the 125 match and half of 133. Makes me wanna smash my TV watching these clowns foul each other to extend the clock!1 point

Frozen yogurt is a weak substitute for what they serve at the PSU Creamery. I went back three days in a row, and finished my wife's all three days, as well.1 point

It's almost a six page story to describe the evolution of my name, so I'll keep it as short as possible. I wrestled up until 8th grade and actually coverted to being a basketball player, which I then played in high school. Yes, I was a center, but also because of my stature. I could "hold my own" under the glass. When my nephews got heavily involved with wrestling, it re-ignited my love for the sport. Noticing that wrestling always got backseat coverage to basketball-yes, even living here in Iowa-I grew a little embittered by it, so when wrestling message boards began around 2000, that's the name I chose and have kept for recognition purposes ever since. I'm back to liking and appreciating basketball again, so the name doesn't exactly fit today. I follow UNI basketball and whoever beats the Sqwawkers regularly. That's it!1 point

Page 5 of 5. Weasel words are the true victors. There was no inferring even being attempted or insinuating until BB lost the bet. Then he weaseled out of it. Under technicality, @jrossis correct. It was clear that BB weaseled out of having to pay by saying he inferred a different set of dates. There was no reason for anybody to believe otherwise aside for himself which was a deliberate attempted at being a turdbiscuit (you know what I am saying here, gents). I must applaud his tenacity in claiming he won that exchange. He lost. Everybody lost and left the thread even more stupid than before they entered it as a direct result of his (BB) poor attempt at being a turdbiscuit. For that and that alone he should have to donate $2k to CKWC for having wasted my time twice now. The first time in 2012 and the second time just now.1 point

That would definitely be a better option than dropping altogether. The people at Bakersfield seem like hard working good people.... I am sure they are working twice as hard with the conference stuff that's going on. It's good to see Stephen Neal still working to support that program.1 point

I think it will be very difficult to hire a big name coach I'm worried about Oregon State and to a lesser extent Stanford. They're both going to get millions less in TV revenue per year with the realignment. Cuts will have to be made somewhere, and it is too often wrestling that is the casualty.1 point
