Over the last 12 tournaments Nebraska has wrestled at or above their seed 55% of the time (50 of 91) and Iowa has wrestled at or above their seed 56% of the time (63 of 112). Nebraska's worst years were 2014 (1 of 6) and 2021 (2 of 9). Iowa's worst years were 2015 and 2022 (3 of 7). If you narrow it down to just the past three tournaments (the seed to 33 era) Nebraska has wrestled at or above their seed 48% of the time (12 of 25) and Iowa has wrestled at or above their seed 48% of the time (14 of 29). There really is no difference between the two.4 points

Here is the deal though, if you don't like their product don't use it. If you feel their dealings are unfair and biased don't use their product. I don't like CNN or Fox News' product, thus do not watch either channel. I also do not like Oprah's channel, hence I don't watch it. You wanting the government to force a private company to "show their work" is kind of scary. Would you also like the government to tell Willie(or a former presidential candidate) to divulge posts that were deleted and users that were censored or banned? This fairness that you seek will never be there no matter who is running Twitter. It seems as if Musk is right leaning, do you think that if a politician he supports asks for something to be censored or promoted he won't do it? I'd guess he would. It is the same as if Cael would call Willie(and he answers) and says hey this poo poo head is saying I'm involved with some illegal activity on your board please take it off. I'm guessing he takes it down, but just a hunch. Unfortunately our political parties have driven a stake between Americans and made use pawns in their game. They thrive on divisiveness. They have made it so that we are forced to pick a side when 95% of us are in the middle. When they do that people who have power in media(social and print) have the ability to promote or suppress things they do not like. Asking for fair, unbiased, proportional enforcement will not happen, what you think should be removed may not be what I think should be removed. Unfortunately for right leaning people they are the heavy minority in the tech world and thus they think the nerds are picking on them. Maybe it's revenge for the high school bullying.4 points

Again, I'm glad that you think that... but WKN's data shows that Iowa wrestles to seed as a team at NCAA's.3 points

I brought it up because it’s relevant to her treatment in Russia. While I’m guessing she’d have been convicted* all the same if she were straight and white, I’m guessing her treatment, by an administration that is virulently homophobic, is probably worse than a straight, white American woman would receive. Sorry that the President of the American Federation of Teachers comments triggers you. I don’t think anyone on this thread is “white hot, insane, MAGA” or hates anyone. I’m just tired of being embarrassed by the current administration. I’ve been democrat, republican and independent. My God what must the rest of the world think of our decision process and leadership?2 points

Huh? B1G sets conference schedule. PSU and Iowa don't even meet every year. That's probably a higher priority for PSU/Iowa to try and mutually arrange than PSU/Nebraska.2 points

I don't know enough about any of it to have any kind of informed view, but I have always wondered how Greiner could have been so foolish as to even mess with trying to bring weed into Russia, of all places. Kind of invited that problem, due to recklessness.2 points

You are acting like a child with their hand an inch in front of the entire forums face screaming "I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you!". If it weren't so funny, it would be very sad. Act like an adult and people would leave you alone.2 points

Just so you know you are arguing with a Nebraska super fan. This guy thinks that Nebraska is going to outpace Iowa at NCAA's this year... he is not going to see your points from a rational view.2 points

I'm guessing you mean Hawks - yeah, we've known the family a long time and I think there is a few things there. I know he has a few surgeries since he senior year. I really thought once he focused solely on wrestling he would make some huge leaps, and those times off the mat have not helped. I am not sure they "know" him well enough to coach the best out of him. He's always been a pretty stoic kid who was hard to read, but would really dig deep for those he believed had his back. The grass isn't always green elsewhere, but I do know there's been a few coaches asking about him. I'd hate to see him go, especially since he is a Missouri kid.2 points

Incredible matchups all throughout: USA vs Georgia should be really competitive 65kg - Yianni vs Lomtadze (past 61kg world champ) 70kg - Pantaleo vs Iakobishvili (past 65kg world champ, 3X world bronze at 70kg) 79kg - Burroughs vs Gamkrelidze (2022 U23 world champ, beat the guy that beat Starocci) 92kg - Jackson vs Maisuradze (2022 senior world bronze, lost to Cardenas at u23s) 97kg - Snyder vs Matcharashvili (2022 senior world bronze) 125kg - Gwiz/Zillmer vs Manashvili (u23 world silver, teched Cassioppi) USA vs Iran potential gold 65kg - Yianni vs Amouzad (world finals rematch) 70kg - Pantaleo vs little Yazdani (65kg world silver in 2021) 74kg - Dake vs Firouzpour (2022 u23 world champ) 79kg - Burroughs vs Nokhodi/Savadkouhi (Nokhodi lost to JB in last to world finals, Savadkouhi just beat Sidakov and Nokhodi. Also Savadkouhi almost beat JB in February) 86kg - Zahid vs Karimi (3X world medalist) 92kg - Jackson vs Firouzpour (2022 U20/U23 world Champ and Iran's clear #2 at 92kg behind Ghasempour) 125kg - Gwiz/Zillmer vs Masoumi (only 18 years old, lost to Zare like 11-4 this year, 2022 U20/U23 world champ. Teched Nick Feldman at U20 worlds. Teched Manashvili who teched Cassioppi at U23 Worlds). Iran vs World All Star team will be really good too. I have Iran winning 65, 79, 92, and 125. Toss-ups at 70 and 86. World All-Stars favorites at 57, 61, 74, and 97. I think Iran will win one of the toss-ups and have a greater chance at bonus in the one's they're favored.2 points

Even Kyle Burwick doesn't think hes better. If he thought he was better than Lamont he would have stayed, competed, and outwrestled him. Also hard to hard Nebraskas lightweights vs Wisconsins. Nebraska has great coaching and is one of my favorite programs, but he has been wrestling with Barnett and Gross.2 points

Lamont was very good a couple years ago and by all accounts seems like a great guy.......unfortunately wins two years ago don't count now... but a loss to the #29 and #16 guy do. As long as we are playing the historical game...look at guys that Lamont used to beat that now beat him....If he was on trajectory he would have wrestled a close match with Vito... We will see how this plays out.... I would take 3 years of Burwick over 1 year of LaMont. Maybe you should put it to a poll and see how it would turn out... I would be interested to see. P.S. Thanks for pointing out that Burwick defeated Schwartz....who beat Lamont in their last meeting.... see how that historical thing works?2 points

Ban, go back and read your posts, you come off as a whiny 12 year old. Defending yourself us not the problem, imho, it is how you do it. Brings the intelligence and enjoyment of the board down a few notches.2 points

This is manifestly true. The trade was obviously one sided. Basket ball player found with hashish oil and a man known as the "merchant of death" that was caught trying to sell missiles to FARC to kill American's in Colombia. Seems a bit one sided to me. There is no equivalency to this, Biden got it handed to him for all the world to see. mspart1 point

Gotta say I loved watching that show. The full movie was way too much. But the show was pretty good, Great White North!! mspart1 point

In the interview he did with Olanowski he said he's going back home because he misses his family. Geno's also not listed on the current world cup rosters that were sent to me last night. Seems odd he wouldn't stay another few days to compete at an event like the World Cup. However, when you're a 3X world champ I guess you can do what you want1 point

Nice. I hope you appreciated my focus on a minor point.1 point

Ironic it only happens to you. The one that has been banned from numerous other boards, yet you are not the problem.1 point

You know you could be right eh. Only a hoser like you would say something like that eh. mspart1 point

Good wrestler, but his strategy seems to be to suck down to an unsafe weight, beat inferior wrestlers after weigh ins and be large enough at night to use his size to beat better competitors. Had interesting, unpredictable matches with Vito, whom was also a weight cutting machine. Not a huge fan of his or the way he has been managed. If Spencer Lee has two torn ACLs and is on a "pitch count," he is "ducking" when he doesn't take the mat against Glory. This included a match where it was clear that Iowa had no intention of using Lee. Glory also missed that very same match, missing weight against an Iowa backup whom he struggled with in the past. Take a look at Glory's struggles this year, including all the recent "ducking" he has been doing at 125. Pretty clear that he and Princeton have been abusing the weight certification system.1 point

Not sure if this will help your issue but, I always record the next event on BTN just to be sure.1 point

If Michael Beard can improve his gas tank he's a national contender. As for 197 it has maybe the most parity of all the weights this year. Dean could finish anywhere between 1st and 8th and it wouldn't be shocking. If they ran 197 10 times at NCAA's they could have 10 different champs1 point
