Certified did the thing juuust enough in high school to certified do the thing with great mediocrity in college.

Highlights include scoring a whopping 1 point across Enid and Fargo the only time I went.

Weight cutting in college was a huge problem for me.  The cut to 174 was pretty bad, but I was nowhere big enough to have a real go at 184.

Does mange a world team count??

Did you mean manage a world team

 That counts in my book.

I wrestled four years for a mid-level Big Ten school in the 1990s.  My biggest claim to fame is that I only lost two varsity Big Ten matches in my entire career.

Cough.

Career varsity Big Ten record:  0-2

For voluntarily coming to an anonymous online message board, you sure seem damn upset about people being anonymous. Isn't there a Greco board somewhere? 😑

My accomplishments. Hmmm. I I set out to do what seemed improbable.

Killed that goal in a year or so with aplomb. Then tried to for the impossible.

A year or so later I came within a whisker of it.

Decided to extend my adventure for another four years... best decision I ever made.

Success really does breed success.

I ran a 5:42 beer mile last summer. By the far most impressive thing I've accomplished athletically.

Never made it to state.  I came close in 10th grade, 11 grade got Russian flu, and 12 grade hyper extended my elbow.  The good thing that came out of that was I did get Eagle Scout as a result because I had time.

I did not wrestle in college.   Really, I was not good enough.   I did wrestle Veterans for 3 years 2000-2002 and lost every match.   But I had a great time and do not regret any of it.   The third year I hurt my shoulder and am still working that out.

After college and getting married, I was an asst coach at HS's where ever we lived.   I did that until 5 years ago or so, maybe more.   I love wrestling and think it is the greatest sport and love watching it and follwoign it.   But I was never really that good at it,  at least on a high level.   I think my senior year I would have placed at state but for the elbow, but that's the best I can say.

Wrestled in high school varsity all 4 years back when NYS had one state tournament. Made sectional finals 3 years, placed 4th as freshman. Lost in state qualifier to eventual state champ in sudden victory.’ He went on to destroy everyone in states winning his 2nd state title . Was AAU All American in folkstyle, wrested a couple years and ran track at Cortland state.  Was also an All American and still hold the New York state record in the 800m run  for 13 year olds.  Placed 7th in the USA Track & Field Hershey Youth Nationals 😂.
