Well sure but were there any UFOs sighted in the area.  AJ's high priced Texas attorneys need only provide a plausible alternative correct? What if an alien spaceship was trying to suck the corvette thru a time vortex and thus AJ wasn't "driving" but successful escaped on foot?  Surely no jury of his peers would convict under such circumstances.

It only needs to convince 1 of 12.

You don’t know if he ran because of booze or drugs

Pretty sure you get tested when you get arrested and if he wasn't sober it would mean more charges, so yes, I can say with near certainty that he wasn't high or drunk. Try again.

My recollection he has said he doesn't drink.

PS:  of course most folks could honestly say they didn't before the first time they did

He was arrested the next morning. Can't tell if he was high or drunk during the actual chases.

How much they get will in part depend on how much effort they want to put into this.  At the end of the day it isn't the most serious crime.  It wasn't a murder, it wasn't a violent crime, no one was hurt, and there wasn't even any property damage.

It was a high-speed chase that resulted in him crashing his car. He could have hit somebody else driving that reckless. It definitely is a serious crime.

Did he crash his car?  I saw that in a post on instagram but that detail was not present in any of the reporting I saw by local new agencies.

"During the course of the trooper’s attempt to stop the Corvette, the car began travelling west on Highway 30. After several miles, Ferrari stopped the vehicle and fled on foot."

https://www.1011now.com/2026/06/27/former-nebraska-wrestler-aj-ferrari-arrested-multiple-charges-lincoln-county/

"During an attempted traffic stop, Ferrari refused to stop and fled westbound, leading to a pursuit. After several miles, Ferrari stopped his car and fled on foot."

https://okcfox.com/news/local/former-osu-nebraska-wrestler-aj-ferrari-arrested-after-police-pursuit-in-nebraska

"After the chase covered several miles, Ferrari stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. "

https://pokesreport.com/s/9015/the-demise-of-aj-ferrari-continues-with-multiple-charges-in-nebraska

"He continued fleeing by turning northbound on Highway 83 before ultimately stopping the vehicle and fled on foot."

https://nebraska.tv/news/local/former-husker-booked-on-multiple-charges

I don't think he crashed his car, which is why I said no property damage. The local news wouldn't leave that detail out.  Sure it's a serious crime, that could have ended much worse than it did, but are they going to devote the time and resources to this case?  There are others more serious for sure.

One could imagine a multitude of ways to prove he was in the car to varying degrees of certainty.  As I mentioned earlier his car could rat him out.  Modern cars have lots of sensors including cameras and microphones.   It may have recorded his voice or video of him in the car shortly before or during the pursuit.  If his car has Bluetooth they might be able to use that to learn which devices were connected to it at the time of the pursuit, what phone calls were made, audio, etc.  If that phone was AJs and if he was in possession of it when they found him that would be strong evidence.

His phone could rat him out too.  His could have been storing location/speed data during the chase which matches the position speed of the car.  Even if they don't find his phone, he may have been sharing location data with apps that have the data stored in the cloud.  Even if none of that exists cell tower information could correlate him with the chase.  Even if none of that location date is useful he may have texted or called people after leaving on foot which could be helpful.

The location itself is somewhat interesting.  This took place in North Platte, NE.  Does Ferrari live in North Platte?  I would have thought if he was living in NE it would be near the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which is about a three hour drive away from North Platte, NE, but maybe only 1hr at the speed AJ drives.  If he lives in Lincoln, NE or Texas and was arrested in North Platte, NE that is circumstantial evidence he drove the car there.  Even if he lives in North Platte an 11 minute high speed chase at 100+mph could have put him 10-20+ miles away from his destination.  He might have had to travel a large distance after ditching.  His phone records could show if he called/texted someone to pick him up.  He phone records could also show if he called an uber/lyft/taxi.  If he decided to hike/run 20mi instead of contacting someone or took a bus then he may well have passed dozens of cameras en route or encountered other people who could identify him as being in the vicinity.

How much they get will in part depend on how much effort they want to put into this.  At the end of the day it isn't the most serious crime.  It wasn't a murder, it wasn't a violent crime, no one was hurt, and there wasn't even any property damage.

I would think his phone locations would be strong evidence.  And how about fingerprints on the steering wheel?

He parked his car on the shoulder/ditch and went for a run.  He's trying to get down to 197 what's wrong with going for a run?

Did the police report say anything about a No Parking sign in the area?

With how much certainty.  Wasn’t it established he fled the scene… they found his registration in the car …. Got a warrant … and arrested him the next day?

How desperate would a program have to be to bring this train wreck into their room. We're about to see who the most pathetic programs and coaches are. Just the fact that he is so boring is enough for me to not be a fan. The rest is just bonus material for Dbag of the decade.

its fun to think about how much the decision to fake an injury and skip saturday at NCAAs hurt him in this process.

How much are you gonna pay a guy who's gonna quit on you if he has to wrestle back? Especially sense the only justification for taking the guy is wanting a big team result.

If he finds a roster spot next year, which is looking less likely by the second, then I think he won't quit again at NCAAs. He's too vain to go out on a loss and he's not going to 1) put in the work to qualify for, and 2) actually show up to OTTs since he is pretty blargh the limited time we saw him on the free senior circuit and I see literally no way he has improved... likely regressed tbh. So next NCAA season is the end of the road for Albert James Focus, and like I said, he won't be able to just quit because that means his last match would be a loss.

Or who knows... maybe he pulls a PD3 and blew his last shot at NCAAs, floats around until our world champ rep tears a knee and won't tell anyone not even his teammates, randomly makes a world team, then craps the bed so hard he gets kicked out of Jersey and gets his lights knocked out on national tv one day.

i am an idiot on the internet

I'm not convinced. Get 3 more sources and I will believe it.

He tore his knee and had surgery on it… even Mr manning confirmed it in this video

Manning did NOT confirm that AJ had surgery. He said that AJ was going to have surgery. Future tense.

We don't know that AJ has had surgery at this point.

Based on his proposal video, either the surgery was quite minor or it didn't happen at all.
