    The amount of bickering on this forum is incredible. Stevenson wasn't exonerated. Don't know why you are so sensitive about it or why you care what i personally think. I have no issues mentioning him in the context of this stupid hypothetical thread.

    I'm not dancing around anything; I don't know what happened and never claimed I did. I do know he was arrested for a potentially serious offense and that makes him a candidate for a controversial team.

    Huh? I didn't say anything about rape. I pointed out that there was an incident with Stevenson and he has a nickname in the MMA community because of it. I don't really care if you are impressed with my evasion or whatever you are getting at.

    Doesn't matter if I endorse it or not. He was arrested for the incident. Compared with some of the examples in here, his mention is warranted. I personally don't know much about a "loophole" other than the woman assaulted was drunk at the time.

    No, the point is that most high school student athletes can take a gap year, elite D1 true freshmen or otherwise. If that is obtuse you, so be it.

    To his peers in high school....... What percentage of DI wrestlers were held back? It is a small percentage, certainly nowhere near even half.

    James isn't "so young". How old were you when you entered your senior year of high school? If you were 17, as most are, you could take a gap year. I turned 18 in May of my senior year of high school, and there was nothing special about me. I was the same age as all my peers.
