White Conservatives are the biggest threat
mspart replied to Scouts Honor's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
That is a good honest question. I would say, they could for cause at any time. Is this porper cause? If this guy is defined to be a terrorist, then I suppose they could have their visas revoked (as they have been) as being family of a terrorist, which as has been pointed out is not per the law. So if he is deemed to be a terrorist, the family could have their visas revoked (which has happened) and they could be deported. But I think first he needs to be deemed a terrorist for all of this to follow. I don't know if that has happened. mspart -
I don't disagree with most of your post UB. However, what is bolded is wrong. It is the spending that blows up the deficit. The government should not be trying to spend as much as possible, they should be spending as little as possible to comply with the requirements they have. That is not what has happened in any budget discussion or bill in the last 25 years. mspart

JB is right on in his assertion. Mad respect for that train of thought. We need more of it. mspart

The subject is the comment Ernst made regarding the medicaid aspects of the bill. But the implication is that the changes to medicaid will kill lots of people. That R's are blood thirsty. Medicaid was not designed for illegal aliens nor for people who refuse to work. So it is just getting back to where it was supposed to be in the first place. That is what this topic is ultimately about. mspart

Yah , maybe, if the greater Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto areas have half the Canadian population. mspart -
I see that as no different than applying for insurance or a passport or renting an apartment or house or anything else. The paperwork should not be onerous but should at least be able to show that you are eligible for the benefit. I think this is a red herring. If you are eligible for the benefit, you should be able to fill out the paperwork. If not, there are programs that help those that can't that are eligible. Glad to see you agree illegals and those that can but won't work should not be on the program. mspart

Downsizing.....thoughts from empty nesters
mspart replied to WrestlingRasta's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
For our kids to get a house, they have to pony up the down payment for a 500k house around here. It is really cost prohibitive for the youngins in these parts. mspart -
So what to do the medicaid cuts actually entail? My understanding is that the cuts are to illegal aliens and those who can work but choose not to and choose not to even do 20 hours a week in volunteer work. These people do not deserve to be paid anything so they should be off anyway. I don't think this should be controversial. Can we agree this is not controversial? Are there others being removed that might be more controversial? mspart

Downsizing.....thoughts from empty nesters
mspart replied to WrestlingRasta's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
We are now there. We have a fairly large house but are not ready to move because everything is so expensive and why sell for x only to buy a smaller place with less maintenance for x with no room for kids to visit or have big family dinners. That doesn't make sense when we have the room now. We also have grand chitlins 7 minutes from us so my wife really doesn't want to relocate. We both are beginning to hate living in WA as it is expensive ( gas in my neighborhood is 4.29/gal but just down the road it is 5.09/gal. We just had my wife's cousin and husband from the east coast and they couldn't believe how expensive WA is. So we are not really happy here but we have family here (3 kids, 2 grandkids) and family away (3 kids, no grandkids). So we stay put for now. We will probably stay for the duration. mspart -

He didn't kill anyone that I know of. If one of them dies from their injuries, that story may be different. mspart -

One of the Boulder victims is reportedly a Holocaust survivor. Reportedly the perp is an illegal alien from Egypt. Reportedly the perp also had a homemade flame thrower as well as molotov cocktails. Reportedly, he said he planned this for a year and would do it again if given the chance. mspart -

I thought you were having a hard time getting to the survey. A google search gave an AI blurb that said While it's difficult to definitively confirm 96% as the exact figure, there is a significant perception that employers are hesitant to hire Gen Z individuals, especially recent graduates. Surveys and reports indicate a trend where hiring managers and employers express concerns about Gen Z's work ethic, professionalism, and preparedness for the workforce. Many cite perceived lack of soft skills, communication difficulties, and challenges in adapting to traditional workplace expectations. This may answer your question. mspart

https://www.intelligent.com/1-in-4-hiring-managers-say-recent-grads-are-unprepared-for-the-workforce-many-plan-to-avoid-hiring-them-in-2025/ The original link says the following at the beginning: A troubling new reality is unfolding for Gen Z graduates as they face a stark challenge in the job market. According to a new survey conducted by Intelligent.com, 1 in 8 hiring managers plan to bypass recent graduates in 2025, with a third citing poor work ethic as the primary concern. The underlined are the links to the survey and the outfit that did it. I found this in 15 seconds. The link to the second survey doesn't work for me. mspart

What’s the Best Piece of Advice You’ve Ever Received?

The sales leader took ownership because he could. The lower level folks can't spend $600 without authorization in most companies. If they do, they risk getting fired for fiscal negligence or impropriety, spending money without prior authorization. That's how it works where I am employed anyway. I assume that is the way it works most places. Gotta get signatures. But the top guy can because he/she is the top guy. mspart -

Only have to come across 31.1K dead people to get an ounce of gold. $3300/ounce right now. That would be a lot of work to extract. mspart -

https://komonews.com/news/local/religious-group-protest-seattle-mayor-harrell-comments-at-city-hall-rally-mayday-usa-event-seattle-rally-counter-protest-cal-anderson-park-arrests-police# 8 arrested at counterprotest, religious group rally outside Seattle City Hall by KOMO News Staff Tue, May 27th 2025 at 5:28 AM Updated Wed, May 28th 2025 at 6:24 PM SEATTLE — Eight people were arrested during what police described as “dueling demonstrations” in downtown Seattle on Tuesday. A religious group protested outside Seattle City Hall on Tuesday following a weekend of unrest at Cal Anderson Park. The group spoke out against what they describe as religious bigotry, specifically targeting comments made by Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell. The protest comes after a clash at the park on Saturday, where 23 protesters were arrested. The incident began when LGBTQ protesters attempted to disrupt a rally held by the Christian pro-life group Mayday USA. The situation escalated, prompting Seattle police to call for assistance from the Washington State Patrol. Some of the protesters who were arrested -- all accused of assaulting police officers -- have since been released. Seattle police said eight people were arrested for assault at the "First Amendment event" outside City Hall. No major injuries were reported. "Two opposing groups gathered along 4th Avenue," wrote the SPD in a media release. "Streets around the dueling demonstrations were shut down for several hours but reopened just before 8 p.m." Counter-protesters said they believed the messaging at the religious rally on Saturday and on the steps of City Hall on Tuesday was hateful. "It has nothing to do with religion," Plymouth Church Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Kelle Brown said. "It has everything to do with bigotry and discrimination and bias and hate, and they have subverted it in the name of God." Lead Pastor Russell Johnson, who was behind Tuesday’s rally and was present at Saturday’s protest, said he expected hundreds of people from all walks of life to gather to demand an apology from the mayor. "This is a group that loves the Lord and all people," one evangelical man told KOMO News about the large counter-protest. "We might not support what people do, but we love all people," another man told KOMO News. Harrell referred to Mayday USA as "a right-wing organization" that "intended to provoke a reaction" by promoting its beliefs in the city's prominent LGBTQ neighborhood. Both Mayday USA and the counter-protesters have criticized the city's handling of the protest. "We had attempted to do the event at another place, and they rejected that and directed us to Cal Anderson," said Johnson. No word on charges yet. Some have been released, but not sure if that is on their own recognizance or let go and not charged. mspart

The best way to protest these situations is to ignore the rally. The church goers stayed in the bounds of their permit. Just ignore them like they are not there. Then they go away. Antifa has a lot to learn. However, what I think they have learned is that there will be very little justice served to them. I doubt that they will be charged with anything of note. mspart
