I’ll always remember the play he took a handoff, ran over two defenders, and ran a 92 yard touchdown. They clocked the time from the second he got the ball (which of course would have been behind the 8 yard line, to the time he crossed the goal line, in 7.6 seconds. 95 yards, full pads, running over two people, edging toward the sideline……in 7.6 seconds. He also hit monster home runs, climbed walls to steal home runs, throw runners out with laser beam accurate throws, and broke bats over his head. Best athlete of all time. I did here a comment about how wrestling fans need to get over being interested in more than #1 v #2. That's a problem almost every individual sport has. Team sports in theory represent more than the individual, as in a school, neighborhood, village/town/city, region, or nation (yes that's a farce a lot of the time with these differently colored logos pulling and trading among the same pool of vagrant athletes, but the pretense is still there). So yeah people will watch even if it's not the best of the best, because they gave the something else in common. A big part of college wrestling's appeal, over generic senior level freestyle, is the shared identify of going to the same school.

What's very disheartening, and this is a both sides thing not at all isolated to left or right, is that when these mass shootings happen, the first and most important thing everyone wants to talk about is race and/or political leanings. There are hundreds of millions of people in this country, of all races and political views, the large vast majority of which are good people who would never think of doing anything like this. So maybe there are bigger issues with these situations to discuss, maybe the core fundamental problem with these people is not race and politics?

Probably trying to decide if he should be deported. ICE is only focused on identifying and deporting those from south of the border (weird, right?) Apparently, for now, Trump's Project 2025 people only seek to deport Mexicans and Central/South Americans. What about violent gangs and criminals who are white, black, asian, or middle eastern, etc? Why are they being ignored with this ICE effort? None of it makes any sense at all. If they wanted to deport criminals, why only from certain countries? Plenty of criminals from other countries, and plenty of white criminals born and raised in the US. Why cherry pick certain folks and ignore certain other folks? (It's to try to justify his 'border' politics.) A large percentage of those currently being deported aren't actually criminals at all. Again, it's not about criminal behavior, it's about the 'border' politics. And the fact that the wall that was promised to be built in 2014 was never built and it was a gigantic, miserable failure. This isn't law enforcement in any way, shape, or form. This is a diversion to keep people from realizing how big of a failure Trump has been with his border promises.
