There’s nothing not to love about Dieringer, and probably the best to never make a world team being in a log jam of all time legends. Cheers to retirement for him.4 points

Yes. He will get bigger and probably settle into 65kg. Adding muscle to that technique and defense and he will be very good3 points

so far biggest take away that Pat downey had the rotten luck AGAIN of running into a guy who cheated by getting in shape for the tournament.2 points

Let the refs award points however they see fit. Exposure, control, favorite haircut, maybe dole some points before the match starts.2 points

Pretty sure 18 by time of vote. Would think you'd know but maybe you were asleep during passage of 26th?1 point

It depends on what you consider offensive points. You're saying Burroughs scored only on counter exposure and points. Interesting.1 point

Blaze attacking at the end... going off, THEY GIVE BLAZE ONE. Challenge brick thrown for Fix. NOPE! Blaze takes it w/ a point added for Fix's failed challenge. 3-2 Blaze. Double Secret Probation, D31 point

Methinks there might be too many semifinal matches on one single mat. Let's get back to freestyle. And quick. The sun might burn out soon.1 point

A liberal's view of investing = taking money that is not theirs and giving to people who did not earn it (i.e. expensing it and not actually INVESTING it to build assets which create money/value). Investing means building roads, ports, etc. The Kam-eleon wants to "invest" in ambitions. I think my hippy aunt still has dream catchers for sale that we can rebrand as aspiration accumulators and sell to Kammy for a tidy little ambitious profits.1 point

could downey be bigger stain. Show up out of shape, loses, defaults out, apparently doesn't bother telling anyone he's gonna default out.1 point

Just imagine if he had no legs at all. 35 + 35 = a SEVENTY pound advantage! And no legs to shoot at! Now THAT is unfair. Don't even get me started on how unfair it'd be if he didn't have a head either.1 point

Classic Downey. Looks superior the first minute and a half, works in a nice throw, gets a nice lead, gets winded, takes a lung timeout, staggers to the 30 second break, catches a quick smoke, returns for second period, gives up 15 straight points for the tech, walks off during the hand raise while the ref calls after him.1 point

If he makes it to the 22nd who does he flip off: A) CSUB fans, B) opposing fans, C) opposing coaches, D) CSUB coaches, E) B&C, F) A&D, G) all of the above. O/U on number of siglets ripped from the splits?1 point

The crux of this entire thread. Hill says he didn't do anything. Except clearly he was not doing what he should have done. This set up a course of events that shouldn't have happened. And - he has openly admitted this on TV multiple times. He has admitted over and over that he should have done better.1 point

I agree Fargo is no longer as important to the top wrestlers it once was. Many of the top wrestlers focus on world events rather than Fargo. Fargo is still an outstanding tourney, but many of the elite turn their attention to their college teams or world teams.1 point

He was not complying with the order to exit the vehicle. He delayed as much as reasonably possible while talking on a cell phone. He was non-compliant for that duration. When the doors were opened, he put his leg out of the door. But made no effort to get out in any way. None. Watch the video again. He wasn't using his leg to stand up, he was using it as leverage to remain in the vehicle. (Ask any wrestler, without the leg as a point of support, it would have been easy for the police to pull him out.) One officer decided enough was enough, and yanked him out despite his non-compliance. That was not a easy task, this was a fit top NFL player... who then responded, in shock, "Damn..." Watch it again. It's not difficult to see. Hill was not voluntarily exiting the vehicle. He was trying his best to stay in the vehicle and delay.1 point

Except you'd be changing the facts about what actually occurred. The seatbelt violation was reported as being observed prior to the stop.1 point

Get over this one. A crime is committed when someone breaks the law. Those that do so are criminals. Try to use your lawyer schmawyer bullshit to try to misdirect the simple words of the english language into lawyer speak. Doesn't change a single thing when we aren't in court.1 point

You don't know (neither do I.) Which is why I had posted that we can't comment on it... but it may have been more clear to have posted that "we can't intelligently comment on it." So, sure anyone can comment. Intelligence be damned. That is the bulk of the internet. But I prefer intelligent posting.1 point

Nobody took it easy on Robles. Not in high school, and definitely not in D1. The guy was absolutely built when he competed. I have no doubt he'd have been just as successful with two legs, possibly even better. If having one leg is such a huge advantage, we would see way more people missing legs able to compete in D1. Yes, there are fewer athletes competing with one leg, but I've seen a number of athletes compete missing legs, and none were to the level of Robles.1 point

DT is one of our all time greats. Even after some time off if he is in decent shape he will roll through this bracket.1 point

Excited to watch it. I think there are lots of cool moments in wrestling that would make great films and i hope this one inspires more. (Personally i want a movie about shane griffith and how he saved the stanford wrestling progamand several other sports in 2021) Also an ASU fan this will be extra sweet.1 point

The reason Win/Win is the best wrestling movie made is because they got a state champ wrestler to play the lead...if the lead actor in this hasnt ever wrestled its just gonna look like every other wrestling movie ever made1 point
