It seems a good strategy for him to cut down to 197. Perry could eat all of the food in the house and starve Carol down to weight.4 points

You act as though Israel goes in targeting civilians rather than Hamas. That is the problem. Israel does not go in targeting civilians. They go in targeting Hamas. If civilians are killed it is because Hamas uses them as a shield. It is fully Hamas' responsibility that civilians are killed. Israel has a right to kill Hamas. They do not have the right to target civilians. If civilians are killed while targeting Hamas then that is on Hamas. I have said this numerous times as have others. But you want us to say it is ok for Israel to target civilians which is patently not what they do. That is what Hamas does. So you are still a shill for Hamas but try to deflect that by saying you are happy hostages were released. They were not released. They were rescued by brute force. You are one conflicted uncle there. mspart3 points

All the people doing mandates, subsidies, the climateers, and, everything getting 'lectrified think that the stupid drivers don't know what's good for them. It is apparent in their mandates and subsidies. If it was such a great thing, there would be no need for mandates or subsidies. It would just happen organically. The fact that you have to be somewhat rich to afford these contraptions furthers the divide between the know it alls and the stupid drivers who don't know what's good for them. mspart2 points

I always thought of this as an example of when taunting goes right. My wife is the quiet type who does not like to draw attention. I am...well, let's just say opposites attract. At my first job we had a monthly poker game for small stakes. When I told my wife that when I got up in the game the rest of the table was going to hear about it, she thought that was a bad idea because I might lose. I thought it was a good idea to get my licks in when I was winning, also because I might lose. Kyle Todrank is my people. He knew he was going to go down in flames, so when he scored a fluke takedown, he had to let everyone know about it.2 points

Todrank (who at best was below average for DI) knew he was going to get blasted, but he was wrestling up from 149, lasted longer than expected, and scored legitimate points against Nolf. It was stupid to taunt him, but he still had a better night than he expected. He fights MMA now. He said this about that match during an interview: “My whole wrestling career, I was a s***head,” Todrank laughed. “I talked s*** during matches, I did little antics here and there; I did this my whole career. It was [Nolf’s] senior night, so I had come to the decision that I wasn’t going to do my antics or talk mess. At a point, he shoved me and I kind of shoved him back, then the way I wrestle, I try to circle and create angles. He got frustrated trying to chase me down, so he double foot jumped at me and I heard a whole section of the audience laugh at me. When I heard them laugh at me I was like, ‘All right, f*** it, I’m turning it on now.’”2 points

Pro-Palestine supporters aren't necessarily stupid. Just very seriously misguided. They truly believe they are on the right side of what is happening - but haven't spent the time to dig deep enough to understand the complexity of what they're getting involved in. They suffer from oversimplifying something that isn't simple. No different the the pro-free college people, or anti-vax people, or defund the Police people, or the pro-Trump-even-as-a-felon people. Some simply take the easy route to follow rather than to think critically themselves. They don't need to understand it or have valid reasoning either way. If the majority of what they are hearing is one thing, that's the one they lazily pick. What is going on in Gaza is bad, but not nearly as bad as what is happening right now in the U.S. due to lazy thinking.2 points

I wonder what percent of takedowns in NCAA wrestling are scored by the guy initiating the shot vs. the counter/reattack scores? Are we at 70/30, 60/40?2 points

Huh? Yaz’s tank is amazing. He melts just about everyone. Keep in mind he’s also coming back from shoulder surgery so likely isn’t at full fitness. He only looks second class when he wrestles Taylor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Terrell Barraclough has transferred back home to UVU which makes sense since he's a Utah native. However, given that he's probably a AA threat this year I'm surprised no bigger programs tried to land him as a 157 or 165 pounder.1 point

i am bewildered by how any coach actually lets her play. she just throws the ball up. from anywhere. I know she wouldn't play for the team on hoosiers. that said. Im not saying anything about the olympics... not worried about that. but the wnba needs to get a handle on its players. most of those cheap shots would have caused suspensions/ explusions in the nfl.. maybe even nba... i have seen many against other players since hearing about clark being targeted. no wonder no one wants to watch1 point

Nope. When Hamas releases the hostages and surrenders unconditionally or has the common decency to die then the problem with Hamas should end. Unconditional surrender or death should be the only options for Hamas. Anything else just extends the problem. Even Hamas' surrender may not solve the problem if non-hamas Palestinians do not let go of the goal to exterminate all the Jews. But at least the Hamas problem should end.1 point

And that ladies and gentleman is what I have been saying all along. Hamas takes no responsibility for the safety of Gazans as is plain to see by their actions. Safety of Gazans are Israel's responsibility? What? NOT. mspart1 point

Just some thoughts (as a ref/coach/fan/parent) and not directed specifically at WKN, but wrestling fans as a whole: There has always been reaction time, just not from rear standing. It disappeared for about a decade from rear standing, but existed everywhere else. Kind of crazy, that we went from 2023 complaining about zero reaction time (rear standing) to complaining about too much reaction time in 2024. I am not sure anything changed, other than the rear standing rule. However, when a ref blows a call, more people are going to see it than 20 years ago. Youtube, flo, Big 10, ESPN+, UFC Fight Pass, etc. As an official, I always try to let positions play out and am very verbal about control. I'd rather be a little late on a takedown than early. Coaches don't always like it, but I am pretty up front with them. (and I did see some bad calls regarding reaction time this year, but refs are probably no worse than they ever have been)1 point

As a Pokes fan I agree. OSU wrestling style in my mind is still based in the 90s and early 2000s - fast paced, tough, and lots of attacks. Spratley is a good current example of this. Notsomuch the "defense first" strategy. From DT's press conference it sounds like he wants to encourage this style of scoring - it's okay to give up a takedown as long as you score more than your opponent! Seems so basic but I agree that in Perry's time as OSU coach we've seen less emphasis on this style. Who knows about Carroll. Waited until the last day so it's obviously a loaded decision. Maybe its the coaches, maybe its the transfers, maybe its a perceived equity thing. Shouldn't be the weight issue though since he was going down before the coaching change.1 point

Yaz IS known for his tank! (Except against Taylor.) Yaz has made a creer of absolutely melting guys. The Taylor matches are outliers.1 point

So Aaron Brooks is going to try to outscore you ?? No he is going to try to shut you down Taylor could outscore and outpace yaz. Brooks won't win a bullfight against the real bull. Marinellis is a poor man's bull. Yaz is the unstoppable bull1 point

Yazdani is great at a lot of things but I didn’t think he would win every single 50/50 position against a relatively high level American. I’m not convinced Brooks beats Yazdani (strong Yazdani lean until I see it) but I think Brooks scores on some of those positions and it’s a much closer match. But, but, but. GM is all in on EVs. CEO Mary Barra declared several years ago that GM would stop making engines. How is it possible that with all these mandates, subsidies, climateers cheering her on, and everything getting 'lectrified that they can delay EV motor output? Don't those stupid drivers know what's good for them?!?1 point

Folks conveniently forgetting how Brooks was gifted his match against Valencia, I see.1 point
