My 0.02... i don't think they lose any recruits specifically b/c of the Ferrari thing/s but i do think they've lost recruits in the past b/c of shenanigans/antics/behavior and the Ferrari thing/s do nothing but continue it4 points

I don't like him. My unsolicited clinical opinion he is a sociopath who never learned a single consequence in his life. He is a scandalous, attention-seeking bully. He is bad for the NCAA, Iowa and college wrestling. Sadly, there is a growing culture of nimrods who support his conduct. People like this perish by their own sword.4 points

Chael, is that you? If not you should expect to hear from Sonnen's lawyer for stealing his bit.4 points

Seems like we have another poster that needs their eyes checked. What Fartard did was not your regular face mush. He aggressively shoved Glazier twice - he got up, pushed against his back, then came around and tried to shove/push against his head. That's when Glazier retaliated. And even if it had been more of a run of the mill face/back mush, do we really want to encourage more post match extracurriculars? The open hand strike, the flipping off of a teammate and crowd, is that cool by you too? "more blame should be put on the opponent". What an unbelievably low IQ take.4 points

It was actually a non-NCAA school. Oak Hills Christian College, a member of something called the Association of Christian College Athletics. Enrollment 100. What is it about the religious schools that makes them want to be martyrs?3 points

Its particulary despicable because a lot of the personal growth in wrestling is based on the idea that as emotional and physical and intense and competitive as a wrestling match is neither guy is willing to endanger the others health to win, its a small miracle really. Being oblivious to it just means you shouldn't be wrestling.3 points

I haven't seen a single post from you where you actually talked wrestling though.3 points

There has got to be divide on the Iowa team over this, especially at 149 and 197. I would think the majority of the athlete's parents are not fans of the Ferraris. With or without the Ferraris, Iowa is not going to beat Penn State in the forseeable future. The fan base can't be supportive of them and their antics. I have a hard time believing the AD and the coaching staff would risk alienating their fans, parents and athletes over a couple of athletes. It doesn't make any sense. You don't jeopardize the overall health and well-being of a legendary program for the unchecked impulses of two kids.3 points

As a Penn State fan I couldn't be more ecstatic about the Ferraris going to Iowa.3 points

I don't know about current recruits, but I could see the current team rebel against them if the Ferrari's end up on the roster.3 points

I had this dual circled since the Tiger schedule had been released. This dual has been competitive and entertaining and with the possibility of a lineup bump, Otoole vs Lewis, and Mauller vs Andonian "dog fight", it was a no brainer to jump in the car and do the 2+ hour drive from BFE Missouri on a week night. I have a "12 hour rule", learned via school of hard knocks, about making comments before adjusting perspective, minus emotion, and definitely sober. I've earned all my grey hair. When I arrived for the dual, Mizzou was giving away foam hands with 3 fingers held up indicating 3 pt takedowns, and this was part of the theme for the night. I got a chuckle when a Tiger fan commented that AJ Ferrari would need 2 of em! I would find my self commenting during earlier matches that I'm not sure I'd send my kid to a Tiger Style Camp to learn offensive takedowns, as V. Tech was hitting some textbook singles and scoring the initial 3. This is where I have to be a little selective in my interpretation, and maybe my view is skewed. Over the years, the Tigers have infused more "funk" into their repertoire, and that style leads to defensive strategies. Great when it works, not so in the current 3 pt takedown scenario and it could be the difference in finding the podium at season end. Anyhow, your getting my take so here we go: Noah going all out with the lateral attempt in OT, I'll call that a "growing opportunity." I'm not a mouse in the Tiger wrestling room so I don't have privy to how they approach OT strategy. Moore-that stick was electric. Going to be fun watching this kid continue to develop. Absolutely love his fire. Edmond-that was a head scratcher. I was excited about seeing him at 141, and when he was a frosh he was exciting to watch with his explosive speed. I certainly don't want to short change VT'S Tom Crook, as he is tough kid, but Edmond seemed to be in control until the crash out a bounds and then it was like he switch got flipped off. Don't know if it was conditioning or what. Now I question how much he is improving. Gioffre-gave up the first takedown but hung in tough with #2 Henson, with funky style. Another wrestler that might surprise. Mauller-I can't hide my frustration I have with Brock and his defensive/control style of wrestling. I always thought that Brock and J. Jacques must have been practice partners as their styles are so much alike. Brock is a beast physically. Gotta think if he would open up more with leg attacks, with his strength, he can score. Mauller and Andonian are not new to each other and styles totally conflicting. You can flip a coin between these two any time they wrestle, and with their experience, I think it would be disappointing and a lack of achieving potential if they don't finish in the top 3. Coaches gotta coach. Break score Miz-6, VT-12. What's the plan Stan? Are we going to see the Otoole-Lewis showdown. Who's doing the math? I was wondering if we might see Steed in the lineup at 165, but I also know he was injured wrestling in a previous tournament and may not be available. Speculation came to an end when Otoole reported to the mat and proceeded to do KO stuff for the tech. Conway-took one for the team. Tough draw for anyone not named KO or Starocci. It was coming down to NCT "nutt cutting time" and Whiting is the project that we all wondered about, and finally arrived. Another exciting, aggressive wrestling style and the guy moves like he is a middle weight. Whiting didn't disappoint with the major. Elam 1-Speculation flying. Why has Rocky been out of the line up? Hell if I know, but whatever it was, he's back. I was pretty sure the match was in the bag after Whitting's match, Rockys major adding the first layer of frosting. Elam 2-and by the way, I'm so old I watched their dad Bryan wrestle in HS. We knew Zach would be a monster as he continued to fill out his frame. Now it's a matter of continuing the positioning and technique improvements and having Dom Bradley as a coach/training partner is certainly a plus. Decision Elam. Victory and dual current streak alive fir the season. A dual win always makes that damn drive home much easier.3 points

Why do you keep saying this? Surely you know it isn't true: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/72431 If you are going to try to intimidate people with accusations of defamation, you might want to make sure your own posts are truthful. You also may want to educate your client on Youtube's Community Guidelines policy against sexualization of minors: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2801999 Note that, per the first link, thumbnail selections must conform to these Community Guidelines as well. To all: I would encourage you to likewise review the above Community Guidelines on Youtube regarding the prohibition of sexualization of minors and, if you believe in good faith that a given Youtube video crosses the line as articulated in these standards, irrespective of who posted it, report it here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802027 I would encourage you to use discretion in reporting. Obviously it needs to be more than a kid in a singlet in wrestling match. IMO, casting too broad a net or penalizing high-end videography is not good for the sport. Step back, be objective, be fair, and don't report it unless it is "sexually suggestive" within the meaning of the published policy. But if it is: do your part and report it. Per Youtube guidelines, if they agree, the video will be removed and the Youtuber will get a "strike." The policy also says: "If you get 3 strikes within 90 days, your channel will be terminated." It also says that violations will be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.3 points

then why were they all changed (for a while) after i asked him about it? and why are they all now back to suggestive images? @BobDole consider zapping this dude.3 points

If all he did were goofy antics on the mat, sure I'd agree. But given the past accusations and the actions he's documented to have done (with his driving and guns), I don't think he should be on a college campus. There could be a number of people negatively impacted by his presence there... and for whose gain? Our entertainment?3 points

Likely the biggest shit show in the history of shit shows in College Wrestling. In Iowa, An Iowa wrestler attempting to abuse an Iowa teammate, then flipping off Iowa fans. From the OP, Is it really that bad? -- YES, it is really that bad. It's even worse.3 points

Not sure I got it exactly right, as the list I started with was a couple of years old. But here is my list of schools with more than 2 alumni as head coaches. For coaches that transferred when competing, I gave credit to both schools. I was surprised to see that Michigan & Oklahoma only had one each.2 points

TexRef, he's got my attention from what I saw last night. The kid is gritty and displayed a lot of fire. I've commented before about the Tigers sometimes seem a little "vanilla" in their wrestling psyche, and that includes the coaches and teammies in the bench area. Moore was locked in from the get go, and fired the arena up with that stick. I just like his competitive spirit. I'm definitely a fan now. It's easy to play the "if" game in any sporting contest, but Moore's upset was the flip to this match, and the Tigers have had some barn burners with Tech over the years. Nice to be on the W side this round. Lot's of respect for that program.2 points

133 | Kade Moore over (5) Sam Latona by fall (4:37) Love what Kade Moore is doing for the Tigers this season! When he first appeared in the line-up, thought it was a temporary appearance. He's looking more and more like a long term, great starter! Another great addition by Coach Smith!2 points

Absolutely disgusting and crazy that someone makes an account just to come on here and defend this! But on to the “what can we do about it” part… As others have mentioned, the singlet needs to go. We have given the option of fight shorts and compression shirt a long time ago. Problem is coaches cater to the elite. The serious wrestlers don’t care and take pride in the tradition of the sport so they all prefer singlets. Unfortunately that’s what the coaches order the team then. You say it doesn’t make a difference, but it is a fact that some kids don’t come out for the sport because they think they have to wear a singlet. If coaches cared more about the growing the sport as a whole rather than catering to the elite, the change would’ve happened a long time ago. Sadly, now we have another reason to move on from the singlet. I hope this is enough to get it to be a mandatory change across the board.2 points

Common sense says don't join a message board and jump into the conversation immediately and know everything about the situation. And then say you live with the Taliban hahaha. The MW wrestle guy in question happens to be Iranian. Many of the YouTube functions you've explained only a veteran YouTuber would know those things. Take a break and get on the HAM radio for a bit.2 points

Didn't read through all the comments...just the OP's post. Sadly, there are predators out there and the pictures that have been posted to date are on the internet...not much you can do about that other than petition the hosting sites to remove them. Problem is, they still exist because pedo's have downloaded them and will continue to share them with other pedo's. Once pictures are on the internet, they're there...these dirty pricks will circulate them 'til the end of time. IMO, the only solution is to protect future wrestlers by getting away from singlets and implementing the non-compression uniforms across the board. Advocating for that, and the reason why, is what will stop this in the future. There will still be issues with other sports (swimming, etc.) because of the uniforms, but we can try to do what we can for our sport.2 points

I get most coaches seems to be is looking for the smooth ride to the most finalists but 3 events (Midland included) over a weeks time is overkill and makes all the event hold little useful value. I can handle two but the addition of a third has made this time of year pretty meaningless.2 points

Disappointing to see Surtin, Edmond and Mauller lose. What a grind college wrestling is and especially tough coming off the holidays. Was sure looking forward to Mocco/Lewis, but it is what it is. Hats off to Whiting and R. Elam for getting the majors, and to Zach for closing it out. And of course, as always, KOT doing his thing. Glad he didn't bump up, although I know he would if asked...Lewis is a brick sh*thouse! We got lucky that Moore CAME TO WRESTLE! What a bad a** pin! That dude is funky as all get out. The Tigers have work to do, but solid performance coming off of the holiday and our leaders really stepped it up to bring this one home. Strong remaining schedule with Stanford, Cornell, OkST, NDSU, SDSU and Iowa State coming up. Hope we rest up and get in top form before Big 12's and down the stretch for natty's...2 points

Maybe I'm just old and stubborn, but he's an embarrassment to the sport. I have two sons who wrestled and I would hate to have any kids, who look up to college wrestlers, see this happen at a meet. He doesn't represent the sport or any team well. If he acts this way because of steroids, get him help. If he acts this way just because he's an ass, get him out of college sports!2 points

I have no clue if the videos can be defined as child porn, but as Minnow has shown they’re being posted on child porn sites. It’s not clear if the account owner is doing the posting, but being as how he’s threatened legal action, he’s aware of where his work is being shown and that other people take issue with it even though he apparently doesn’t. Maybe he’s not breaking any laws, but the fact that he not only hasn’t taken down most of the videos, but is posting “new” ones (from some random Christmas tournament in 2021, wtf?) to me proves he’s a creep at best, probably worse.2 points
