The vaccines have been proven not to prevent Covid nor the spread of covid. The best that they can say is they are like a flu shot, the symptoms shouldn't be as bad if you do get it. But we have been through this. Covid is life threatening (original covid that is) for older people with bad immune systems and those with comorbidities. It is not life threatening on the population ages 0-50. Please don't make me drag out those old statistics, we all know them. No mandates for a vaccine that may, may possibly, be effective for a few months. No mask mandates as the masks are useless against a virus so small. No lockdowns, we have seen what that has done to our children. The reaction to covid is a lot more dangerous to everyone on the whole than getting covid. Remember all the layoffs due to businesses not being critical? Remember all the forced terminations due to not getting the vaccine? In WA, we are still dealing with that issue as the Governor still will not hire those people back at the level that they were at. This has wrecked the Ferry system and that is a vivid reminder of dangerous covid policy. Also as disease mutates, it generally gets less deadly while being more prevalent. That has been the case with covid, and the less deadly variants as time went on. Also, people died of lots of things, but if they had covid, they died of covid. In the beginning, it was new and no one knew anything about it and we all panicked. Now we know and there is no need to panic. mspart4 points

"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." The articles I found making claims like yours (https://www.thirdway.org/report/the-red-state-murder-problem) use data at the State level. They inadequately filter at the county level, don't show their data, etc., to support their misleading statements. Fact left out: 27 of the 30 cities with the highest murder rates in 2022 had Democratic mayors. For specificity, we need the city block areas where the bulk of violent crime occurs. Logically most of these dangerous blocks will fall into the above cities. I knew this was bullshit from the headline. There are a few blocks that are dangerous in urban areas. There is nowhere that I fear for my safety in rural areas. After you read https://www.heritage.org/crime-and-justice/report/the-blue-city-murder-problem, let us know what sources support your statement.4 points

No...because unlike Covid, these things do have serious implications to kids. Oh, and those vaccines have been tested and tried for years and shown to be safe.3 points

I live in a small rural town of about 3000 population and I can tell you crime is rampant here. Why just a few weeks ago a neighbor’s bird dog escaped the backyard and ran loose through the neighborhood for several hours.3 points

Adhering to the rule of law is not inclusive nor equitable because there is a diversity in the ways laws are respected. Equity mandates that although diversity of obeying laws may cause diversity in punishment for breaking the laws then instead of changing the diverse behavior the laws and punishments must be changed until Asian females are incarcerated at the same rate as law breaking individuals. We can either thug up the Asian females or stop punishing law breaking. Either is acceptable to the Equity crowd. It is easier to stop punishing law breakers than it is to induce Asian females to break laws. This is the decisive action that has been taken by the Equity police. Chicago declares a zero crime rate now that nothing there is illegal. Equity achieved. Now, on to that pesky global warming issue . . .2 points

Who knows what the actual situation would be, but from an outsider's view: If I were Ramos and given the opportunity, I would be thrilled to spend a couple of years being an assistant with Koll as it would be a tremendous learning opportunity and absolutely raise my value when the time came to take over my own program.2 points

Yeah, proven that it is not effective - particularly for young people. The risk/reward for those under 50 (and even more so under 35) is lopsided in the favor of no vaccine.2 points

Another anecdote, my son has worked in Target three times. The last as a security guy. He was not allowed to stop shop lifters and they were constant. Great security force there. He quit because it was extremely boring. Now looking for a new job. mspart2 points

Lurked for a while but this is my first post here, as a Tar Heel this would be a home run hire for us, would be interesting to see of he would bring one of his more recent former wrestlers along for the staff, maybe someone like Dake might be thinking of going into coaching after this olympic cycle2 points

Then why do the urban, blue-leaning politicians and wokesters worry about Bubba and Cletus going to jail? No need to have bail reform and let-all-the-criminals-out-of-jail plans if pasty skinned rednecks are the ones going there. Shouldn't incarcerating the rednecks put the prison populations into the proper equity balance? (An ancilliary question: shouldn't we demand criminal equity across the man/woman divide also be requiring a woman go to jail for every man who goes to jail. Incarceration is inclusion = a new Incluceration Program!) Maybe the term "violent crime" and the associated statistics do not align with what people experience. Riots in multiple cities with billions of dollars in damage and many people killed = mostly peaceful protest and no violent crime statistics. Yet it is scaring people and businesses who have choices out of the area. Bubba shoots Cletus over the moonshine jug. Several statistical violent crimes yet no one outside of the Hatfields and McCoys knows nor in any way feels unsafe or threatened. Keep your stats and try to buy a loaf of bread at Luis Vuitton with it. We'll keep our bodies and families and businesses safe by going elsewhere.2 points

Disagree. Howard losses: McKee (AA), Lamont (AA), DeAugustino (AA), Barnett (AA), Heinselman x2 (4x NQ) who he also beat Howard quality wins: Ragusin (R12), Shawver (R16), Medley (R16), Heinselman, Gutierrez (3x NQ) McHenry's losses last season: Figueroa (AA), Cronin (AA), Gonzales (DNQ), Mauger (DNQ) McHenry quality wins: Babin (R16), Medley (R16), Ferri (NQ) They both have limited resumes for sure, but it's not that arguable that Howard's is better. Howard has a bit better wins, but much better losses. 4 of 6 losses are to AA's and the other 2 are to a 4x NQ that he also beat.2 points

Giving up ten plus pounds at 125, is a much bigger disadvantage than doing the same at 197. Kyle freaking Snyder is a high bar for measurement and heavyweight has bigger variations in size (and fewer eligible participants) than other weights where the depth of competitive wrestlers goes much further.2 points

Now that would be using common sense. We are not allowed to use common sense when it applies to accurately determining the real numbers. Someone on here told me that. Over and over again.2 points

Letting people: steal X amount per day come across the border with records (including those on terror watch lists) letting violent criminals walk low prosecution rate ...are all liberal policy measures. you can't separate the party from the policy when one side enacted them and the other side rails against it. throw your hands up all you want and say 'we can't jail everyone!' but the above policy changes are nothing but nonsensical. there's zero chance you say with a straight face that these measures are good for society. and yet you vote for the party that institutes them. it's ok. just say what we all already know...the above policies, which exist in about all major cities rn, are stupid as hell.2 points

Depending on what you want to find, you might also compare by county to eliminate the skew of democrat run cities in majority republican states. Or the rate of solved crimes and sentencing. Or the rate of unreported crimes due to perceived waste of time.2 points

Oh yeah, the original was on the top 100 charts for over 700 consecutive months. Lots of people bought that album. Me included. I agree, one listen and forgotten. I don't care for the vocal either. He's not much of a vocalist anyway. But he is trying to erase the contributions of David Gilmour and Rick Wright. They were integral to making the Pink Floyd sound. And he has taken those away. The music is similar but not nearly as well done as the original. It is different, but not in a good way. He's just a mean old man trying to get his last licks in. Thanks WR and MP for responding. mspart1 point

Apparently he was not yet granted another year, and I don't see how he would. It seems he's trying to get the 2021 "free year," as he didn't wrestle at all that season. But he wrestled in 4 conference tournaments and 3 NCAA tournaments (just not the canceled one in 2020).1 point

Unfortunately, even if you remove urban areas from red states, they still have higher murder, SA, and other violent crime rates than blue states. Meaning, non-urban, red-leaning areas drive the violent crime rate up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point

Breathing is certainly a necessary aspect of competing. There were a few states that did that, I think it may be the stand all dumbest thing to come from Covid.1 point
