Sammy’s just a good dude. Always ready to drop a handshake, fist bump or a hug, even if you don’t know him super well. One of those guys it’s hard to root against. It’s refreshing we’ve got the whole sport (it seems) rallying around him.7 points

Imagine a final between Sasso and Robb being the last match of the tournament. I think the entire community would rally.5 points

Something kinda cool - I follow a lot of different college boards. Some more active than others. Among those that have daily activity, there was only one forum where the story was missing (Oklahoma State's 34 and counting), but I doubt it was from malice, and more likely to be with a preoccupation of their own major changes underway. Among all of the boards where it was mentioned, there wasn't a single antagonistic post against him - even behind the cloak of internet anonymity, where cowards usually hang around. Everyone who posted about Sammy was wishing him well and hoping for the best. I was taken aback by that in a good way.5 points

Isn't it grand to have the Riddler on these here forums, speaking in code or riddles, letting all know the source of "truth" in the universe. He is also able to tell when other posters are sad, happy, confused, angry etc. And he can do all these wonderful and unbelievable things by simply staring at his keyboard ... well and listening to AM all day.4 points

Updated again. Seven combined age and senior World Championships medals (six being gold) since 2019, and still only 19, which is just incredible. I must confess I thought her competition would start finding ways to at least slow her down, but it hasn't happened! Regarding her last loss, it was in the semis of the 2019 Cadet World Championships where she lost to her Japanese opponent 3-1. She was in the lead with :25 seconds remaining, but was then taken down. She took third that tournament.4 points

LOL. You assume that I am indoctrinated by Fox News and can't think for myself. That sounds like something a CNN guy would say. I'm sure you really miss Don Lemon. For the record I don't subscribe to any major news outlets and if there is a topic that interets me. I research it myself. Some of us is more smarter than you think we is. and calling people pigs is not nice like when you called me out for calling Dorkter Jill Biden a pig. So there.3 points

Never mind - I see he is part of Bono's incoming recruiting class for Wisconsin - I think he has a lot of potential.3 points

AOC got ridiculed for saying the following in response to a surge in shoplifting in 2020, (It's worse now with liberal policies in several cities.) AOC: “They are put in a position where they feel like they need to shoplift some bread or go hungry that night.” Flash mobs are cleaning out stores and the people are told to stand down. I've watched several videos lately showing mobs of thugs completely clearing out entire stores of Yves Saint Laurant, Louis Vitton, Gucci and even WalMart loading carts and walking out. Good times. I gotta run to the store.2 points

Never heard "tattletale" news used so often and then that person calls other people "stupid"...and claims to be a teacher...and tells other people their kids aren't teachers??? You can't make this stuff up...2 points

I don't think you are dumb. just indoctrinated and delusional. Don't be sohard on yourself.2 points

Would love for it to be Merrill, but my guess is Zepeda. Willie floated the possibility of him transferring to Valiant last week, so I assumed there was some link to ASU.2 points

He is typical of most (but not all) in academia this days. So conformed by their little world and only rubbing shoulders with like minded folks that they don't understand what is going on in the real world, the diversity of thought and that most folks are just too busy to worry about all these issues.2 points

It would be fun watch a well raised smart student take him on.2 points

‘Most dominant’ may very well be a title she has earned. I see others arguing P4P, sure. Ok. But this woman is destroying all comers at this point.2 points

Good stuff there. Did you come up with that yourself? It's common knowledge, I don't have to watch some program to tell me a group of 50 people looting a store in Los Angeles are perhaps part of a liberal area.2 points

So are you saying the people who watch CNN and MSNBC are informed. They are the smart people, right?2 points

This is just a guess on my part, but I believe that Elor wanted to test herself prior to the Senior World’s.2 points

I'm a fan, and she deserves all the praise she's getting. However, I think "trending" is accurate enough for now. 19 with only one senior title, and not a lot of senior level matches yet. She's only had one close match since age 15, her 3-2 win over the defending senior world champ in the semis last year. She controlled the match, and probably only conceded the takedown with 6 seconds left to manage the clock. It wasn't close in the sense that it could go either way. That said, a rematch would be interesting, and I'd be surprised if a senior-level Japanese opponent didn't come with a strategy that avoided ties. Anyway, "trending" is accurate, perhaps even generous, given how little we've seen from her outside of age group. Most dominant junior level woman, hands down. Right up there with Iran's Heavyweights.2 points

*Most dominant American, which is a damn great accomplishment. Gotta pay your dues to be considered global p4p. Sadulaev still holds that p4p crown until proven otherwise. The last time he gave up points was in an instagram practice match. Taylor, Dake, and Snyder can’t say the same. Elor is certainly trending in the p4p ladder though and September will see a big shakeup.2 points

No doubt, it seems like an obvious thing to rally around. Glad there was no side angle or anything this time around. Not even among the lowest common denominator.2 points

Another medal at non-only weight is a huge advantage. 1) Career bump 2) Weights will begin to clear out which increases likelihood of medaling 3) Didn’t need to bulk/ cut a full year early while still a young growing prodigal kid 4) Bye into OTT semis All are very good reasons to remain at 72 for another year2 points

Well its not like after hearing the compliance talk about not gambling he just forgot once or twice, he forgot 559 times. Might be like someone getting 559 speeding ticket for 5 mph over in an 18 mo period, something might happen.2 points
