I've seen bumper/window stickers on lifted pickups with 8" exhaust pipes sticking vertically out of the bed, spewing black smoke that indicate some conservatives feel that way. They aren't the type with the mental capacity to make arguments re the environmental impact or benefits of electric vs petroleum, however.3 points

Thoughts from Frost arena on the dual 125 - Quick pin for Cronin. He looked healthy and shot off a cannon. Slick cradle. He looked like an AA contender today. Pin Cronin 133- Dryden is loooonngg. Neither guy did much. Cardinal did not really threaten Boo. Dec Dryden (4-1 I believe) 141- Coin flip match. Hardy got riding time by 1 or 2 seconds to push the match to OT and had a nice Td in OT. 141 has parity from 4-19 ranked guys. Dec Hardy 7-5 OT 149- Dominant performance by Martin. Neither guys was very high level but Martin is coming along nicely. Maj Dec Martin 8-0 157- Robb is just so tough. Wish he would have kept his original commitment to SDSU went Bono left. Swenson hung in and wrestled him as tough as you could have hoped for. Dec Robb 8-2 I believe 165- Mr. Gator Bacon Tanner Cook does it again with a 30 second pin. Guys know it’s coming and just can’t stop it. Pin Cook 174- Labs controlled the match. Very dominate 4-0 finish. Devos was in deep in a single but that’s only half the battle with Labs who passes the leg better than anyone, ask Mekhi Lewis. Dec Labbs 4-0 184- Another coin flip match. Pinto is going to be very solid for the Huskers the coming years. Maj Dec Pinto 11-2 (was 5-2 and King tried throw with 10 seconds left) 197- The version of Sloan that wrestled today can win an NCAA title. Allred has a ways to go to end up on the podium. Dec Sloan 12-0 HWT- Nebraska kid hung in there much better than anticipated and almost stole one from Nevills. Nevills gets it done in OT. Dec Nevills 5-3 OT Nebraska 22- SDSU 17 Atmosphere in Frost was great today. A decent amount of Huskers fans made the trip to watch the dual. If you have never been to a dual at Frost Arena, it’s worth the trip. Go Jacks!2 points

Hulu has the regular Paramount channel but search around for season 1, it actually changed a few times, think a couple seasons were on Prime. BTW: spoiler alert, they shoot all the rodents in season 3.2 points

A legitimate concern appears to have turned into a farce, once all the information could be pieced together. I believe the continued calls for Bono to sign is simply trolling. I also believe this thread has served its purpose and should be allowed to die in peace. Apparently that's the strategy. That would be showing real support for Kyle. Alas, Wisconsin won't do it, so we'll see Kyle in a Nebraska singlet in 2023-24, assuming he doesn't enter the portal again.2 points

Holy hell man. Coaches match up athletes with similar abilities all the time. Especially if they trust the other coach to be honest about how good the kid is… I did it the other week. A coach I respect asked me to match up guys with similar experience and I had the Dual already when won on forfeits. He’s having a down year and almost every team in our area is devastated by kids getting sick. Throwing out my best guys to run over first year wrestlers in their first competition would have served no one… it seems pretty clear brooks isn’t hurt. Are you being deliberately obtuse2 points
-
Munoz is injured.... Coaches agree to wrestle back ups .... Brooks agrees to let backup Ball wrestle.... PSU back-up wins... PSU backup gets to wrestle in front of huge home crowd... fans loved it... announcers loved it and applauded the coaches for doing it and you say Brooks was ducking Jackson Mckinney. Gotcha.2 points

Nope, Verizon. I got the 50% off deal on Paramount+ just now. Looks like I’ll hope 1883 and 1923 are ok to watch prior to Yellowstone.1 point

Just give it a try, the first season is pretty good and it doesn't take long to forget its Costner, you'll soon just think its John Dutton.1 point

10 min, gonna watch Ystone then the first 1923, yep got the +, at least E1 also on regular Paramount.1 point

That is such a poignant song. I remember people were using the term, "Bushgore" during that election. That song slaps you in the face with it. They're going to be another one of my "late to the party" bands, like so many bands before in my life.1 point

Overall, I'd agree with this, but truly in the case of Deuce, it would be asking a lot of many to expect that they would have anything positive to say. We all heard from insiders how incompetent that he was, and anything good that came from him was in spite of him. As one of many military people who left his regime said, " he's the most flawed individual I've ever met." That statement alone makes many have nothing good to say about him. As I did, I found a couple of policy issues I liked, but his criminality and cruelty overshadowed all of that for me. I do truly wish the worst for him, and I never say that.1 point

Keep in mind, I'm really just a liberal and not part of parties. As you know, I don't even vote for partisan offices. With that said, three things I liked about Deuce. 1. I liked his trade STANCE. Actual policy, as I'd like it, never really happened, but it was refreshing to hear someone say free trade is a joke. 2. I liked that he was a critic of our wars, and initially set the tone for the Afghan pull out. 3. He didn't try to federally criminalize weed, as he hinted he would. He allowed States to run their own shows. Bad things about Biden 1. Too damned old for the job. Not in a "dementia way" that people falsely claim, but people his age retire and don't ruin big operations. 2. Hasn't kept a friendly tone, as he initially did when he took office. However, with the poison that he works with, you have to fight fire with fire. 3. Hasn't put his foot down with energy companies and has allowed them to hold us hostage to their rigging of the market.1 point

Lee had both knees done, and has had one done before. Using Yianni as any kind of baseline for Lee's recovery and what his season should look like competition-wise this year would be ridiculous.1 point

Don't think I've mentioned, but Weir's wife, Tasha (I'm one who refuses to call her Natasha, which came into being when they got married), is an old friend of mine. We grew up together in Rochester, MN and we all hung out in one big group together. I missed by one person being included in an old picture that was shown in the documentary, The Other One.1 point

Looks like some really good wrestling, too bad there's not an easy way for all to watch like ESPN or +. If there were a simply easy one off price & sign-up for the full event with guaranteed working coverage I might consider but not likely to sign up for the StoneFlipper just for this.1 point

When I wrestled in the App State open as a freshman. We were car pooling and we were driving through the windy mountain road and were all kinda wondering if we were going the right way. Then it opened up to the gorgeous campus and town.. and we started wondering if we should have gone there instead lol1 point

I can’t believe people are still defending Bono/Wisconsin in this. “I cannot believe Bono really cares whether Burwick is in Nebraska's line up” ”They might do so in the interest of their own integrity” You’re failing to take into account that in addition to Bono being the biggest narcissist & most petty coach in the country, he also has the least integrity.1 point

Things Flo could do to make their product a bunch better: Fix the streaming stability (it's 2022 for Christ's sake) Test the webpages on multiple browser/operating system combinations and make it work everywhere Stop serving ads to paying customers Make the FloArena brackets work like TrackWrestling's (they own both properties) Get rid of Christian Pyles or at least never let him announce another wrestling match1 point

Munoz wasn't going and Ball vs Mckinney was scheduled to be an extra bout. So instead of Brooks going and putting on a showcase on McKinney he sat it out and let Ball wrestle his scheduled match during the official dual. A whole lot of arguing over nothing.1 point
-
Agreed...didn't say it was. But he wasn't... he was wearing black and orange and was a back-up who was supposed to wrestle an extra match. No it's not. So.... there's always an exception...doesn't change anything. Are they wrestling another school's backups the rest of the year? This is what I actually said "A duck is when someone avoids wrestling someone who is in the same realm of ability and ranking that could upset you and therefore affect your seeding at conference or NCAA. " What is the real purpose of a duck? It's to avoid a potential upset in order to preserve your seed.... not avoiding a 2nd string wrestler. This does not qualify as a duck, especially when it was arranged and agreed upon by coaches and wrestlers.1 point

This is not the way to build wrestling. If he is healthy, he should wrestle. If he had another color singlet on, the PSU fans would be saying "duck." This is a fact. PSU wrestlers have been doing quite a bit of ducking this year tbh. Is Cael using 1980s training techniques that are resulting in injury to these guys, or are they afraid to risk a monumental upset? That is 100% what a duck is. Crazy stuff happens. I remember a U23 champ getting pinned by a backup in a match that a team didn't need him for. So basically: Brooks, RBY, Starocci, Dean so not need to wrestle the rest of the year because they have already proven themselves to be champs? Absurd. Put it on the line. If there is a match, wrestle it.1 point

I'm not sure if maybe some of the events later in the season may be included in the actual subscription. Hopefully so. This is another case of wrestling not getting out of its own way. Floreani behind the business model for Flo and Rokfin - no surprise lol. That mentality is bad for growing a sport.1 point
