Is Robinson confirmed to Nebraska?  Heard there was an Iowa visit scheduled.

Not confirmed yet, but heavily rumored.

Healthy Vito was incredible…hands down has to be one of the fastest guys I’ve seen on the mat

And healthy Vito got wrecked by Ono.

The way he made RBY look regular at NCAAs still baffles me.  RBY was easily, to me, the fastest guy I had ever seen wrestle. Then Arujau making him look like concrete-feet?  Wow.

RBY had a bit of a boo-boo of his own that impacted his mobility.

Excuses for RBY, but not going to acknowledge that the Vito that faced Ono was not the same guy that won gold? Typical

Isn't Wolbert a 141lber?  Wasn't he just a 142lbs?  Give him a year to redshirt behind Lemley and blossom in to a NQ/AA contender at 141lbs.

I hoped it would be Mendoza at 133 at least for a year or two, and Wolbert at 141, Lemley Cat Gilcher/Portal Mantanona x2 Walters/Portal, Sahakian, but the weights for Wolbert have ranged between 141 and being bigger than 149 (149 easily in cut range, though).

Every kid is different, and freestyle aspirations obviously push these kids to some weight classes, but body shapes change and some kids are talented enough to bump weight without adding the mass. I’d hate to lose Wolbert, personally, but I don’t like the idea of turning anyone away that can improve the room and push others to get better. I like Zepeda’s future, and I think if you can make it work with Mendoza at 133, Wolbert at 141/149 and Zepeda at 149 along with Lemley, that’s a really solid group to work with, and redshirts are available.

I like Sergio Lemley, but I felt like he almost took a step back in year 2, and then took a redshirt and will be up at 149…I just don’t know if he ever reaches the podium in the post season, which we all know is crucial for scoring team points and trying to elevate the program and the spotlight etc

Would be shocked if Vance went anywhere. His little brother is committed to MN.

RBY competed in June and July after getting picked apart by Vito in March.   No one is 100% at NCAAs.  I am not saying RBY was perfect but it was shocking to see how slow Vito made him look and whatever boo-boo it was, it didn't prevent him from competing in submission matches and Freestyle months later.

Sometimes you have to give credit to victor and not make excuses for the loss.

He beat Vito twice (and Vito went on to win Bronze that summer). I agree though, even if he had managed to stay healthy and continue to progress, I think he would still be behind this year's top 4

How quickly you went from "he's going to law school" to "he's not that good"

I never said he’s not that good ever. I said 4 out of the last 5 seasons he couldn’t finish bc of injury and when healthy for a part of last season he didn’t look close to the level of the 4 freshman at 133. That isn’t saying he’s not good those 4 freshman passed up Byrd and Ayala too they are all elite. I’d expect Crookham to AA as long as he’s still wrestling in march but he isn’t beating Jax or Seidel

If it is Echemendia does he go back to Ohio State? I personally think he needs to go to Northern Colorado for the player to be named later in the Zerban/Poulin swap. Or Mizzou as apart of the Elam to Iowa State, Hawks/Castillo to Arizona State trade.

Seeing the trend and CLEAR biases in your comments…this is why Penn State is seen as the Patriots/Chiefs fan bases of college wrestling. 90% of you weren’t even around before Cael came and now we can’t compliment other wrestlers/teams…youre right he didn’t have elite speed because he lost to Ono and Penn State is the best ever…🙄
