Absolutely! Good chance of 10 aas!  4-5 title contenders

Still not the #2 team. OSU beats them.

and “good chance” at 10 AA’s? Maybe “a chance” but unlikely.

Better seeding…Nebraska faces the B1G while Ok State wrestlers go through the motions to NCAAs. Nebraska takes some bumps, gets seeded slightly lower and the path becomes a little more daunting.

Nebraska I think is now firmly a trophy team but h2h and in the tournament its hard to see Nebraska winning/out placing Oklahoma state in more than 4 weights

125 (toss up slight edge v-rob unless zinkin goes gimme zinkin!!)

157 (toss up slight edge to Robideau)

174 (clear edge Minto)

184 (gimme Cochran for the time being)

285 (slight edge Ross)

feels like Oklahoma state wins the other ones so I guess if you give Nebraska every 50/50

Nebraska vs Tech for third interests me slightly more.

It's ironic Echemendia called out Swiderski for leaving Iowa, and he turned around and did the same thing a year later.

1000%. I am telling you, Echemendia crapped all over Iowa State, Dresser was there when the "woman beater" signs were all over the place. I said this on an earlier thread, Echemendia had his fat brother living on campus, he was everywhere and there for free. Guys would go to the sauna; his brother was in there. They were at the duals, security was trying to get the brother out of the tunnel, he is giving security all kinds of heck. Money changes a lot of lives, I get it, he has nothing. With that being said, ISU was paying him a pretty good penny.

Failing at attempting to murder someone means you are bad at murdering people.  It still means you want to murder.

Huskers also signed Lucas Cochran today to fill the 184 spot.  They have to be considered the #2 team at this point...

Cochran is nice add but he hasn't done anything yet to make me think he will win more than a match or two at NCAAs at 184.

You are SURE he is a good guy? That’s absolutely wild to me.

Oh cmon there is two weeks from the end of the season to conference championships for most. and two weeks tell nationals

and even seatings at this point in time because guys take so much time off a lot of the better guys are not even getting the good seeds that they normally would get so someone’s path doesn’t always reflect their seating. I would say in most cases in every bracket you can find someone with the lower seed that has a tougher path.

125 Nebraska

133 ok state

141 ok state

149 Nebraska

157 toss up

165 toss up

174 Nebraska

184 Nebraska

197 Nebraska

Heavy Nebraska

Looks like Nebraska favored in that dual

There is something about this. Alot of it is your draw more so than seeds

Nebraska isnt offering more than a handful of schools. He will fall into a good culture and room. Nebraska was able to handle aj for the most part...

Is it true that Nebraska wrestling gets a million of the school's profit sharing?  If so, that would put them among the elite programs budget wise.

I find that hard to believe.  I am sure the recent additions are not there solely for the "culture". At the end of the day, we are all victims of economics.  We all want to do what we want to do, but we all need to find ways to fund that.

Dude the bias you bring to the table is so thick.  Just own it and say you're excited NU is doing what they are.  No one craps on honesty, so stop fighting reality

I’m referencing the benefits, or detriment, of wrestling a significantly stronger or weaker season long schedule. There’s a huge difference between wrestling in the B1G or wrestling in the ACC or Big 12 etc.

I’m assuming the scenario you’re referencing is with injuries…which happen and in certain cases you can only be seeded so high. Thats a separate issue. Lower seeded guys should have the harder path in every bracket…my issue is with who is placed in those lower seeds based on another wrestlers record/how they’ve looked against lower competition.
