From a conference standpoint, the SoCon is getting pounded in the portal.  So far they have 38 outgoing and 1 incoming.  Which is even worse than the 11-0 from the Ivy.

Big 12 is doing the best so far with 20 incoming and 36 outgoing

Yes, but does it benefit you more to get to your next stop now-ish (most semesters just ended)? You can hit a summer course or two at the new place while also getting embedded in training throughout the summer. I have zero reference one way or the other, but it might benefit kids to get to the next stop sooner vs later. None of them fit into one tho, I’m sure plenty benefit from taking the time to ride out their summer and stuff. Either way, exciting news to come we hope!

Lots of schools in the SOCON have reasons to leave right now.

Campbell is down to 3 scholarships, The Citadel has virtually no coaching staff, Bellarmine has way too many kids, App State seems to basically be a farm team (I mean this as a compliment as they are a victim of their own success at times).

Some may need to get their grades/credits in order at their current (or another) school before being able to be accepted and commit to their new one. Quite a few universities have local colleges with no real admissions policies that have direct transfer credits to the university.

Odd .... the only three transfers in the portal who chose to stay at their old school (so far) are Stanford wrestlers.  Can you spell $NIL?

Still feels like this was cooked up by Stanford in an effort to drive donations to the team.  Nothing else makes sense to me seeing how it turned out.
