This has to be one of the dumbest conversations I’ve had online…I’m not sure how many times I could say it or different ways…yes everyone is speculating, literally everyone. The fact that you put “Willie may be…” acknowledges that there’s room for skepticism still and/or his own speculation. Which is completely fine. I give his input more credibility than mine so maybe my speculation could be a little low and his a little high? Eh who knows. I have never once said people can’t speculate…I just said that sounds way off and I’d assume something different. Usually the “pot calling the kettle black” is for hypocritical people…I wasn’t saying you can’t question people or thoughts like you guys are here. I didn’t even have an extreme view to counter theirs. Anyway…I and many others will stay skeptical that one wrestlers is making as much as almost all of Nebraskas roster until proof is shown. And certainly skeptical of the much more crazy claims of spending penny’s, built not bought etc etc. Please read all the comments before you get into your feelings and reply to one thing, or worse yet pick for one small thing within a thing to try and go after other posters right to be skeptical…

Dang, didn't see that one coming.  I'm sorry my comment upset you. I don't take message board comments that seriously and didn't mean anything malicious, I probably shouldn't of used the pot meet kettle phrase, I just found it funny that people are arguing over speculations and speculating on those speculations and getting worked up about what nobody actually knows. I think I used the word speculating 4-5 times in my short reply to highlight the absurdity of this debate.  My bad.

Nah I should have specified I wasn’t coming at you like that. You didn’t seem as deranged argumentative as others. I was just highlighting the absurdity of the comments over something that shouldn’t be that controversial. Agree to disagree stuff. I got no problems with you, sorry if it came off that way.

Lorenzo Norman has psu in his top 3

Looks like OK State for Norman…Ohio State had a chance but looks like the Cowboys are going to win that one

Norman is gonna look better in a cowboy hat.  He wants to train with Hamiti.  No one want to travel all the way across the country to be a nit or a bucknut.  🤠

Any way to see actual proof of what any wrestler is getting paid? Amount, is it cash, tuition, lump sum, payments over time, literally anything beyond "I heard that xyz is getting paid abc" would be interesting.

Idk about being able to show you pictures of proof, but I know a kid who, as part of his NIL deal, gets free subs from a shop in Columbus.

Not sure that’s much of an upgrade

Ryder or Facundo are just as good

Norman has been out for 2 years basically

I believe the implication is that Ryder is out for the year…which I don’t follow OK State crazy close but I’ve been hearing since NCAAs that him being out for his shoulder was a real possibility. Cowboys fans could verify that or shoot it down…

I won’t hate on it either way…although I won’t say another man is going to look better in a cowboy hat…

The price of a good sub now a days…that could be a LOT of money out of pocket…

There has to be a cap on like 1 a day or something? Imagining myself at roughly 20 years old in peak shape and training like that…that shop is going out of business if they don’t lay out some rules up front

Oh, for sure.

Once, I was one of the first in line for the opening of a Moe's. Got free burritos for a year. What they didn't tell us was that it was one free burrito a week, for a year. I'd assume it's something similar.

Is it in writing? Is it verbal?

That's what's missing from all the NIL talk. Especially the athletes getting five and six figures, there's no way they aren't in writing, signed and approved by both parties, reviewed by lawyers, etc. I get why people don't want to share them - they don't have to and it's nobody else's business - but without seeing any actual proof it's speculation. (I'm not demanding you get the kid to share proof, just musing out loud).

I believe that anything over $600 has to be a contract. It goes through  NILGo the clearinghouse - where they review the written contract. Anything under $600 I could see flying under the radar in terms of contract. This  would be where you see some local agreements happen (as mentioned earlier)  if it's a real small amount for food or whatever. The smart thing to do would be to have it in writing.  Athletes getting 6 figures are usually not getting it all in cash but in other perks like housing, new car/truck leases, etc. There have been a number of wrestlers that have done videos supporting the local dealership and the lease they have (Ferrari when at CSUB for example).  Any athlete getting that kind of deal should have a lawyer looking it over, not just an agent.
