J’Den Cox is his 1st cousin, and his dad went to Mizzou, so my guess is…

Idk @Fudge Tunnel, we have a couple guys coming in at that weight range. Plus we have 30, maybe 31 on the roster where would he fit and who does he replace? Don’t get me wrong, he’d be more than welcomed in CoMo, but having 3 years left plus incoming recruits, I wouldn’t think Smith goes that route. Maybe he goes and spends a year with J’Den.

Or maybe J’Den takes the Northern Colorado job, and Gabe follows him?

That’s another possibility. I think maybe some familiarity and a reset would do Gabe well wherever that is.

Sadly, I hope he gets the help he needs.

That said, Michigan makes sense as well.

Cox as praised Kevin Jackson in his ability to not just lead and coach, but to be there for him when he needed him the most - every time.

Nebraska is the place. Picking up rejects as Manning slips into Alzheimers?

He would slide in pretty well at 174 for them.

125: Kael Laurisden / Alan Koehler
133: Jacob Van Dee
141: Brock Hardy
149: Chance Lamer
157: Antrell Taylor
165: Chris Minto
174: Gabe Arnold
184: Silas Allred
197: Camden McDanel
285: AJ Ferrari

On paper that could be upwards of 10 qualifiers and 9 All-Americans.

Let's find out why he is leaving before we make guesses. Hopefully it's not a Cal State Bakersfield situation

Well I’m sure CSBU would love to have him. He would certainly inject a lot of energy into the Roadrunners.

Wow.  I just could not see him another year at 184, let alone 197.

Wish the best for Gabe but it seems like he's had his fair share of troubles with mental health.  Part of me thinks it has to do with wrestling.  Just hope he can figure out what he needs for himself before he just jumps back into the sport.

The kid needs to go where he will have that help.

If that is with his cousin, J'den for a season (unenrolled and focused on MFS), Kevin Jackson (UofM), UNI, or Mizzou, I am happy.

Hell, Lock Haven, were he to 'need' to go there is fine by me, too.
